Would you suggest buying an Xboxone controller?

Haven't tried one. I'm using a Razer Sabertooth, which, AFAIK, is similar to the XB360 controller. I say AFAIK because I've never owned a console, so I'm not really a subject matter expert. The Sabertooth works quite well, though, although I would prefer if it was wireless.

Was that f***ing hard to wait with release few more months and tweak some things BioWare?? LIke:

1. PC controls

2. In-game appearance change (simple mirrior in Skyhold???!!!!!)

3. Fix abilities bugs

4. Finish Qunari Race

5. Give us more armor and color diversity.

Done. Few more moths of work? Yes.

But you had to release it unfinished, right? Well- gtfo

2. * Would love an ingame appearance change! And/or an option in the CC to play cut scenes to better judge the appearance.

5. * Game is loot/equipment driven enough already IMO.

6. Balance skills and spells (ie. all talk about KE being overpowered to the point of boredom made me not play a class I originally wanted to play)

7. Fix male elf broken noodle arms.

Its hard work. Engine is so unmodable even the developers dont know what to do with it. And sales are better if it is freaking game of the year everywhere. Compete with witcher 3 next year? **** that.

CD Projekt Red delayed The Witcher 3 release by 3 months from February to May 2015 for it to be more polished. Originally the game was slated for a fall 2014 release. I'm disappointed my favourite developer didn't show the same level of integrity quite frankly.

Another one who do not understand that EA pull the strings Bioware just have to listen

I would have appreciated that side note on the actual box when i bought the game. Like the note on my avatar.

Oh, I absolutely agree. The difference between using kb/mouse and a controller was like night and day for me (I managed to stick with kb/mouse for a total of 5 mins), so it's puzzling why Bioware didn't just come out and recommend using a controller. Makes me wonder if Bioware didn't communicate this from a fear of backlash from the kb/mouse fanatics.

I think a lot of complaining could have been averted if Bioware had just added the exact quote from your avatar.

Isn't the mythical (maybe never coming) patch 3 supposed to fix the kb/m UI controls?

So I have a question, when I delete my characters do the save games associated with them get deleted as well? Just wondering if I'll reach that 250 save game cap even if I have a few active characters and the rest I deleted without deleting their save files first...

Deleted from the game? I would think that would delete their save files, too. But you can check the Bioware folder in My Documents to make sure.

it should... as far as I know, though I haven't checked for sure. I say "it should" because it's the logical thing, however, with bioware these days, logic doesn't seem to have anything to do with it anymore.

It's hard to distinguish which savefile belongs to which character. In fact it's not possible at all.

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing as well... there are usually leftovers when you uninstall a program so I feared something similar. Oh well I'll see I suppose.

deleting a character does seem to delete the related saves, unless my algebra is off. (I checked my savefolder, and the numbers seem to be right)

---edit

I have 5 characters each with around 8-10 hard saves, + 3 auto saves each + some with benchmark saves = 59 save files.

That's cool, cheers. :)

Also thanks for the update giving details for the exact numbers.

Here's a related side note: KB/mouse sucks for DA:I. I'm trying to do you a favor.

At the moment, yes. But KB&M don't have to suck. That's the difference. That's the entire point of this thread, in fact.

If the KB&M controls end up in eternal suckage....well, then I might consider a controller.

Oh, I absolutely agree. Well, it'd certainly be harder justify the KB&M complaints if Bioware outright recommended a controller. Not sure if there would be fewer, though.

UI overhaul? too much work I think.

I'm shooting low...
Primary fix:
autoattack, a proper H key and range characters that stay out of the way. These alone will improve gameply.

Secondary:
Tac-Cam zoom adjustments, walk on-off, skyhold pj fix. Maybe having the ability to select another companion in the tactics-attributes menu without select back first, then change your companion to repeat the above. What a stupid way of doing this.

Tertiary:
Proper menu navigation flow, fonts adjustment and gear upgrades. IE: if you select the sword icon, then auto filter out non "sword" type equipment and select only companions with the sword and shield skill... Geeesh!

I'd forgo all of that if I could key map to my mouse buttons...

Tried that also.  Honestly do not think it will ever happen.  something fishy is going on and the big game sites have not reported anything bad, except for the party banter glitch, on DAI.  I have seen these sites report many times on small trivial matters all the time on games.  Heck even destiny had an update every other day on something new players were bitching about.

I think it's safe to say there is sizeable chunk of people that have a reasonable issues with the game, that is taking away from the overall experience (not counting people that are raging on stupid things and instantly bash the game).  Of course we are getting lumped with those people.... but i think the amount of people here is enough for these gaming sites to post a story on.  Either everyone is just blinded by how much they like the game, or they have only played on consoles, or maybe ea is buying them out i dont know.   The only playing on console thing can only go so far though with the dumb ai, dumbed down tactics, dumbed down rpg elements, etc etc

..... If, however, you think your time is better spent in here, telling Bioware for the 385674th time that kb+m is horrible, then by all means....

I know this wasn't your focus, but when you make a comment like this, does that mean you think that if Bioware would have deigned to address this thread or this issue even ONCE in the last month that people would still be making the same complaints over and over?

Check this topic carefully from the beginning.

First there is the original post from Mike Darrah. Read the following comments. Well received, cordial and pleasant.

It continues this way for several days.

A Bioware guy came on and helped out unofficially! This was well received as you can see by the comments at the time.

Patch 2 arrived! That created more problems than it fixed.

Where was Bioware at this time? On Twitter telling the world how FIGJAM they are and how they got GOTY.

Did they ever come back to THEIR OWN FORUM and at least communicate with anyone? No they didn't.

Its been going downhill since Patch 2 and it is Bioware's doing!!

This forum is not Bioware's enemy so why are they treating it like it is? It will come back to haunt them I know. You cannot treat customers in this manner and avoid any backlash.

My new favourite "let's kick you out of the middle of a fight with a dragon/rift/darkspawn/venatori/outaws" glitch is the brand-new (to me, anyway):

"You have lost connection to your session".

I play offline and only single player.

Why, pray tell, would I 'lose connection to my session'?

'Ead-scratcher, dis one, wot?

Wanted to comment on this and ask, is there an actual reason for this?

What is the point of disabling Origin?

Day 386

Some of the survivors have taken to forming various enclaves of different ideologies. Others though, fewer in number, that are not currently committed vacillate between the established groups. The paucity of food and clean drinking water is dehumanizing. We all long for a gentler spring. Yet it seems, it will be a lifetime before then.

Paul is sick. I fear it will not be long.

Finally! The official Bioware response to the fans concerning the keyboard and mouse control:

Hahaha... *softly sobbing*
