Did anyone else get asked in Origins to rate Dragon Age Inquisition the last couple of days? Wondered if the feedback EA asked for there has any correlation with the unpolished aspects of the game or if it's simply routine...

Wanted to comment on this and ask, is there an actual reason for this?

What is the point of disabling Origin?

All I know is what I said.  I - for example - was in the Western Approach and about to attack a mage for Cass - and the screen goes black, down in the corner that little 'rift' icon flashing away and then...  back at the menu with the handy box stating "you've lost the connection with your session".

Yeah, okay...  so I hit 'continue' and everything works - as well as this game works on PC, anyway - and I've ran for seven more years and am about to attack the dragon for that 'Draconologist' cretin when - boom, screen goes black and once again "Dear Sucker, here's an inexplicable MP glitch in an offline SP game because hey, another Quality Bioware Product™".  Three more times it happens - always before some combat - I figured I'd check and then add this to the growing pile of PC cockups.

As to the reason?  Damned if I know.  Anti-PC Pixies maybe, at the rate this crap is accumulating.

I haven't seen any kind of poll yet, but I do have that annoying add telling me to "Get It Now!" even though it's already in my library ...

Quote: "Game of the Year! Critics agree: Dragon Age: Inquisition is incredible. Play it now and find out why."

Hey, I've been critical of DA:I ... I critique, therefore I am ... a critic.

Yes it IS incredible, but not in a good way.

Find out why BEFORE you shell out your hard-earned money.

i noted earlier that i felt relatively ok with DA:I at first (when i was expecting to be blown away by pc goodness), and with each playthrough afterward i became less and less ok with inquisition. i came to the conclusion that even though the qunari as a race wasn't as fleshed out as they should have been (compared to the other races we are provided with), i still enjoyed the fact that i could use one as a pc (as i did with that first pt), & that sort of made up for some of the shortcomings... for a while. and I've started a new qunari playthrough; low and behold i feel less ripped off again. so, it seems to me that more qunari content is a useful stopgap for bioware, perhaps (I'm only partly kidding here).

Yup. Asked how likely we are to recommend the game to a friend on a scale from 1 to 10 with optional comments. It wasn't much, but at least it's something.

if I only had that option. though when I got that survey I was feeling a tad generous... so I gave it a 2. ie, not very likely to recommend it.

Hey guys! Remember when one of those guys at Bioware announced that the game is getting delayed a month because they said they want to give us a polished game? And we were all like oh yeah baby! Go Bioware! Take your time, give us a polished game....yeah?

We were all screaming "Take my money, Bioware!!!"

So they go and polish the game, right? Yeah and then they release it and they rub their clammy little hands together when the money starts rolling in and they turn to their fans and go....

release? I'm not touching a single bioware game... until at least a year passes, and I hear good news about bugs being patched, and advertised features I'm paying for are actually included. I'd rather give my cash to anyone other than ea at this point.

however, I seem to have said something like "I'm not preordering anything ever again"... well, that lasted what, one title for me? I guess I just don't seem to learn, or follow my own advice.

---edit
and hopefully i'll be able to pick up such titles at half-price or less too, always a bonus.

Good grief! This thread is heading for 10000 posts and 1000000 views and still no meaningful participation from Bioware/EA let alone answers!

Utterly utterly unacceptable!

And no mention of this travesty on any game sites or press? Just bought and paid for GOTY celebrations. Time gamers voted with their wallets! I certainly shall...

You can change the title of this thread to "PC Community Outrage" by now

Mike Laidlaw tweeted a day or 2 ago that the patching for DAI is slowed down because of the holidays....go figure. And in the meantime, Far Cry 4 is releasing their first DLC expansion - a game that was released the same time as DAI.

Far Cry 4 had less problems+better team so Its not a surprise really. Yeah they have been on an extended holiday and patch will take them a while since Its going to be big. I suggest stopy Crying in pointless thread and start looking at Twitter/EA technical forum

You now you feel that way now...but when the time draws near and the hype is raging...you're going to forget your words, just like the rest of us, and pre-order a special edition with some useless frills. At least we know what to expect from ME, it has found its format in a way DA still struggle to do.

There's a ton of threads like that on Answer HQ. They're all pointless, since BioWare doesn't visit there.

That's not even a red herring. It's the bait that may or may not lure the red herring.

So let me get this straight:

If you seek out Bioware's response here, some people suggest using the EA Answers HQ.

But over there, they point you back to this forum.

If you go on Facebook, you get blocked.

On twitter, you get ignored.

Am I missing anything? Bioware is ignoring us, aren't they...
