This is by far the most awesome reaction from Bioware, ever. Never a silent spoke so much before. Specially when this silent comes with GOTY awards and bragging about being the greatest RPG ever.
Even if this wasn't the worst game ever produced (but it is) the fact that people complain and Bioware completely ignores it is unbelievable. After seeing how wrong they were about solving DA2 problems, how they took a stupid route of multiplying shallow quests to fill huge maps instead of having few shallow quests in small maps instead of having moderate sized maps with interesting quests (aka Origins), they REALLY should read fans complaints more closely. I know producers don't like the negativity here but they could learn a lot if they weren't too occupied ignoring critics to feel better about the **** they made. Guess it is pretty easy to live looking at GOTY awards and ignoring critics, dellusional, but easy.

Yep. They don't want to release a buggy game that doesn't meet player expectations...
LOL
Maybe they peeked into this forum and wised up. TW3 is for both console and PC, after all.

Hello
Yeah, isn't it precious? No apologies, no nothing.
I wonder if "Mr I lie so much I believe myself" and "Mr Chuckles" realize how transparent their attitude towards their fans are when they reply like this...

I agree.
Features that never made it into the game were marketed DAYS before release! That is nothing short of FALSE ADVERTISING and straight-faced lies in order to secure sales.
And then they treat us with utter disrespect and disregard, even when we (the gamers) are the ones responsible for the very existence of the franchise.
So as far as I am concerned as well, it does not matter if they patch the hell out of this game and address every single issue that was raised. Yes, I will download the patch and I will finish the game, perhaps multiple times.
But I am DONE giving Bioware any money. I will not purchase any DLC or any future games with the Bioware brand attached to it.
Do they care? Probably not. They are probably laughing at how petty I appear. No matter. I am not doing it only to spite them (although that is part of it). I am doing it out of principle. I do not do business with people who are unable to sell an honest product.
End of story.
What's funny is I wouldn't have been so letdown and my trust so destroyed if they actually came on here and communicated with us regularly and told us oh we are going to be addressing this, or sorry we would like to do this but unfortunately it would be to big a task and wouldn't fit in the budget. Or maybe even sorry this is our design decision, but for the most part most of the core stuff we want are more options that don't have to be used in what there game is right now.

I know the PC controls have been brought up over and over, but I'm going to through my .02 in as well. I'd like an option to control the game like the majority of action rpgs on the market, i.e. without having to hold a mouse button to free look all the time. Games of similar genre, such as Bioware's own Mass Effect series, Shadow of Mordor, Human Revolution, Fallout 3, Borderlands series, etc all use a familiar 1st / 3rd person shooter control scheme. Many of us prefer this scheme to the MMO style controls it currently uses. Not asking to remove the current scheme, but a free look toggle option would make the game much less clunky and disjointed for those of us not from the MMO crowd. It would also be nice to have a single button to cycle through our companions (in game and menus) rather than tying up 4 buttons for us lefties who have to rebind everything to the Numpad.
There's also the Tac Cam and a host of other things that have been covered already, so I'll not be labored those discussions further.
Thank you for hearing us out.

If there was a cheat to get Power, then you could finish the main plot of DAI in approx 4 hours.
But there isn't so you have to do 96 hours of FedEx quests!! And why can't you just click on the guy and get the quest? Oh no, you have to listen to his bloody life story delivered in a brain numbing way. Maybe the main plot writers were ok, but the rest need a wake up call! This must be same on console as well, so no favourites!
"If there was a cheat to get Power.."
Actually the CE gives you that ability.

I can. This game was made "from pc players to pc players" hence why you need a controller, while even on controller game feels bad.

Last 400 pages of the thread. It is has become a book of hate, compassion and anger about the game and its flaws.

I can actually agree, PC controls are a drama and my fingers were in pain from clicking or holding RMB, there is also nothing like click to attack, loot in action mode. What i like in M+KB is the possibility with all those buttons, so when I switched to X360 gamepad and saw that every time I want to go to codex, map, inventory or whatever I need to open stupid submenu and choose what i want from It, which was expected since gamepad have a poor amount of buttons but i haven't realised that It will annoy me so much, feels like nothing but I just can't live without pressing M to open this damn map.
Fighting on gamepad is much better though but tactical cam not so much.
I think you will find that it is rather extraordinary how...
WE SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE
...about the issues with the game. We are very much unanimous (apart from the occasional "I have no problems, what you all shouting about" fanboy).
All the issues that are in game were posted here hundreds of times already with absolutely no answers from Bioware so there is nothing left just to moan and moan and cry and preorder next game and moan......

Agreed, there really is no reason to be here at this point, is there? I mean it's not like they put out a blog entry stating the next patch would focus specifically on PC controls or anything.
I mean, if they did THAT, then I could see why you'd want to hang around here. But otherwise, just a bunch of moaning, crying ...

It would be nice if they came out from under their desks and told us what they are and are not going to fix on the pc version. Answers regarding the U.I and tactical mode would be a good start. That way I can stop visiting this pile of crap bioware forum that doesn't even have a separate section for PC users (only a damn thread) and console users and can stop hoping that there might be a chance that this game becomes playable on PC.

Hello,
I'm a PC player only. I have seen a lot of user complaining about controls on PC. Can someone explain to me what is wrong with the controls on PC.

For example, PC users had two basic options on previous DA games.
1. Using keyboard to interact (E default key) and moving (WASD), mouse keys to attack and etc.... Pretty basic controls for every game.
2. Using mouse to interact, attack and moving (click+click+click....). You can map every extra button of the mouse so it's a friendly setting for people with disabilities as well (map "use" to button 4, jump if needed with button 5 etc.). Pretty common option, too.
When it comes to DAI, we only have option #1 now. Which is a decision forced on the users. With that decision, EA/BW made it not possible to map extra mouse buttons and according to this fact, either people with disabilities are no longer considered as potential customers or devs simply did not think it throughly. I don't think they are fewer in numbers compared to the additional language support given for localization. On the other hand, I as a lucky and healthy person, would like to map extra mouse buttons and have drinks, calling friends or do whatever I please with my other hand. It's up to me if I'm gonna use WASD or point and click. We do not have that choice now, someone made the decision for us. Most likely, someone that laughs to the Great Leader jokes.
I believe there are other complaints about PC controls but this point is what I'm uncomfartable with.

Again not trolling but, I fail to see the major problem with the PC controls. Yes there could be some minor changes, like being able to map side mouse buttons and, added hotbars or ability slots but, those are UI issues, not fundamental control issues.
I am exclusively a PC gamer after trying a console and ending up confused and frustrated by the controller. DAI is pretty standard KB+M Mouse to steer and attack, keyboard to move and select abilities. Abilities will either be the F keys or the numeric keys across the top of the keyboard. WASD for directional control when you need to move in smaller increments than the mouse allows, or when you need to fire and move (strafe)
What I get out of the complaints is a bunch of console gamers that aren't willing to learn to use KB+M. Those that learned RPG gaming on a KB+M initially seem content enough with the controls. Pretty much the same as any other PC RPG/Combat game. Now I would love it if the Devs took a hint form Rift and gave us the UI expansion options that game has.

I know, I know, not having a toggle 'Walk' on a PC Keyboard is a small issues compared to some others previously mentioned. BUT, has anyone even seen if a 'Walk' is in the works; is engineering even considering adding this option for a PC/Keyboard?
I've looked through several posts and have not seen any OFFICIAL comment about this being added in a future release.

Running inside the Winter Palace is very RPG-wise. What are you talking about, who needs walking? Come on, I mean no one in BW team thought about it while playing the game before the release?

OK... Ummm... Because of the nature of forums/emails I feel I need to ask. Was this comment meant to be sarcastic saying that this is never going to happen (in your opinion) or were you going out of your way to 'attack' my post?

How is this game like any other kb/mouse game? The basics of kb/mouse combination is mouse look (without holding down a button) and the ability to bind mouse buttons.. just like in the previous DA games. I don't know how long mouselook has been around but I can no longer remember a time when it wasn't standard and it sure didn't require me to.hold a button. I am not a spring chicken and having a button mashed the whole time tends to flare up the carpal tunnel.
