I suggest all of you with a twitter account to go and tweet about the problems and demand an update on the next patch (maybe with links to this thread) to @dragonage and as many gaming outlets as possible such as poligon, IGN, gamefront and so on in the tweet (you can mention the GOTYness of the whole situation if you want :D). It's the only time when the DA twitter account responded to me. So yeah. Let's try that. Don't bother with facebook because they delete the comments. (censorship much?)

^^ Yes!  That's basically WHAT we're all going thru.  Thank you....just for reiterating what apparently needs to be reiterated!  Bioware needs to start caring about their PC gamers.

Not all PC gamers are that picky. I am for one, the pc controls don't brother me. Though I wouldn't mind if there was an option for click-to-move. I'm just more used to using WSAD for movement keys in all PC games that I play. Although I do agree the UI pretty much sucks in DAI. It's like a simplified version to accommodate the consoles. I don't like the minimap and world map either. And to top it off, there is no tool kit for modders to create mods for this game. Although there are mods available; not much, it's not easy to make them without the tool kit.

Not sure what the heck Bioware is doing right now but they need to release patch 3 soon. I'm betting they're splitting up their teams, some working on patches while the other is working on DLCs.

Late to the party, but just wanted to add my voice:

Although we bought the game 2 months ago, my wife and I finally had time to start playing last night. After spending an hour in character creation and getting through the opening dialogue scene we were confronted with the kb+m controls at which point my wife threw her mouse down and walked away screaming that the game was unplayable for her and that we wasted  $70 (x2). I shut down mine, started researching the issue and realized that we won't be playing DAI for a while. Not having click-to-move is completely unacceptable. I'd want a refund if I thought I could get one at this point. We aren't gamers. We buy/play 1 maybe 2 games a year. Getting burned like this means that may drop even further. When 15 year old Diablo II has a better UI and KB+m controls, you know something is wrong.

This sounds frightenly similar to my experience. I wanted to get this game for my woman, too. I went to buy the game on Origin, the deluxe edition, for the both of us, a bit before Christmas. The friggen thing would not process the order. After several days of talking to the worthless customer support (which still has not bothered to resolve the issue or get back to me, and it's been a couple of weeks) I finally gave up and went to Amazon.com and bought some codes for use on Origin. Couldn't get the deluxe edition that way, but at least we got the game. But after all that trouble, we fired up the game to realize just how horribad the mouse and keyboard controls are. While I personally can handle the WASD scheme, she prefers turning with RMB and moving forward with LMB. Which is pretty much how every freaking BioWare game has been since KOTOR. I guess after a decade or so, someone at BioWare made a bet with someone else in the lead design dept. to see whether this change would drive people bats*** insane or not. I hope someone made at least $100 off that bet, but the joke's over. Time to fix this piece of s***.

@tranxhdr - I tried....I gave this game at least 2.5 hours of my best intentions/effort(s)......It's flawed.  I don't want to ruin what could be a great game, in my mind, with playing a game controller.  I don't want to dumb down my experience by slamming keys WASD was fun when I played as Carl Johnson in GTA San Andreas...but that was necessary, ACTION paced gameplay.  What people are pissed about is because they were lied to.  This is NOT a Dragon Age tactical Role playing game.  It's a console action game.  After 2 hours I refused to play this horrid game.  I didn't expect more, I expected less and yet Booware managed to undeliver that.  Try to get an audience with ANYONE outside of a "Goty award".  Good luck.

As Bethgael stated the other day, lot's of WoW players use WASD, but they have lots of actionbars too!! WASD to move, mouse to kill stuff. It works very well. But not with the half arsed UI of DAI.

I should get Sera here to give her opinion! Arse Biscuit!

Well at least Bioware cares about our thoughts upon this game.  Seems like they really value our input and  respect our feedback.  What?  They haven't said anything in a month?  Ooops, maybe they don't know where their own forums are.  That happens sometimes.  Could be that they ignore everything "negative" and only look at who polishes their knobs....which is a patently BAD way of doing business.

I'm a man of conviction.  I stand behind every word that I say.  What does BIOWARE say about their claims?

I just wonder how many people are playing this and thinking... "wow, this is a cosmic action game" simply because they don't know any better? and how that's effecting sales figures? there must be a lot of them, for the industry to survive when we're stuck in this sorry state of affairs, and it's accepted as the norm. think I'm going back to tabletop D&D gaming, though I wish they still produced copies of 2.0.

^^^  Invisible Man, "sales figures" are DOWN.  EA/BOOware F'ed up.  This game isn't in the top 10 even, and it should've been.  EA tried to do it on the cheap and lost hundreds of millions of dollars in the process!  It's so frustrating.  They are constantly blowing it!  It's a train wreck.

"goty" is meaningless - they bought most of those, and "tic-tac-toe" or "pong" would beat this game.

i stopped checking news outlets a while ago, as I haven't trusted any media source about anything in about the last 15 years or so. just figured the sales figures were still high.

I just found this @dragonage twitter post in which Bioware posted an inforgraphic, showing how the game is most popular on current-gen consoles, XBOX ONE being at the front.

Ususally this would not bother me, but it feels like a deliberate mock towards the minority....the PC gamers, especially in light of what is going on here.

I would like to say "this was the last straw" but sadly I am past that point.

Well, it doesn't matter mater.  That's what I'm trying to not say.  This business world is about results...and Electronic fARTS just doesn't cut it, unless it is the cheese. Then they really can make it up on the back end with their horrible DLC's....

^^^Dubya75 - They are usually reluctant about such figures, unless it's them making them up.  We all know how inclusive they are to show REAL results....90 - 10..  This company make me laugh.

Booooware really tests our patience.   Cooking the books and rewriting any sort of rules that they don't like.  What a fantasy world that they're trying to recreate and destroy at the same time.

And there it is: I suddenly just stopped caring.

"Dragon Age? What is Dragon Age?" carries on playing The Witcher 2...

Good luck, guys...hope there is some form of redemption coming, but I'm done here...and I need the space on my hard drive, so guess what: That's right, finally going to un-install DAI.

Dubya75 signing off.

Ashen nedra DOES make a good arguement, but he's an idealist.  What do we all have to gain by us all getting censored/deleted?  Comradery is good with me.

THAT guy left BECAUSE of Bioware's (in)actions.  They didn't follow through with their promises and they ham-handedly censored gamers that complained about the very issues at hand.  Bless you, Dubya75!  We won't forget you.  I won't forget you...my maid wont...forget to get me those chicken fingers that I like.....what were we talking about?  Oh yeah, Dubyah75!!!!  Don't leave.  We have a seriously good health program here.  If you complain about a pain, Bioware TOTALLY ignores it.

Yes, I think you're right. I'm kind of an idealist come to think of it, how could you tell? :)

However, let's not confine our merry little band to this thread.  This is safe and relatively easy to use. And fun.  I suggest these ones, among others:

Luckily PC RPG gamers have suddenly got a whole shitload of games to choose from now. I remember a decade ago being FORCED to follow the few AAA RPG developers (and Spiderweb Software) because not much else was being made. But now... ShadowRun HONG KONG. FINALLY!!!!!

Are you sure you posted the right thing?

All that shows is the percentage by platform of those who chose a male or female Inquisitor.

Yep. I believe more copies have been sold for the PS4 than the 360, so ... Dubya was probably assuming something that wasn't there.

EDIT: Of course that could be false, but it sounds pretty right. I can't see the PC version selling fewer copies than the PS3 version, that seems ridiculous to me.
