After DAII, I occasionally referred to BioWare as Bozoware, usually when talking about DA2. It became more common after ME3. With this fiasco? Yeah. BozoWare, with clownshoe Laidlaw at the helm.
Back on the 27th of November, I made this post, and since then I have been patiently waiting for a patch. Common BOZOWARE! It is time to kick it into high gear, get your heads out of your asses, and let us know what is going on. Even if it is just to tell us to go ****** up a rope.
27th of November Post, as it is still relevant, as I have not tried to play:
Once again, to add to the numbers of players that are surprised by the design decision to NOT include and auto attack, something that has been a staple of games (and I might add most, if not all of your games in the past), given this, how could you NOT decide to include this feature in your game? As an only option, and not a selectable option, this is something that is to be expected from a freshman design team fresh out of noob academy. NOT BIOWARE, you guys are not newbie game designers. The old maxxim that you should have adhered to was "If it isn''t broke, don't fix it." Baring that, you should have, IF you decided that it was en essential element to core gameplay, given the players the options to turn it on or off, via the options menu. Again, you guys are veterans of making games, and decisions like this should NOT have made it live. Design oversights such as this should not happen to an experienced team like BioWare, you folks are an experienced crew at this, and you SHOULD know better.
Also, what is up with the funky assed looting system? I have been doing games since I was in Jr High in the Mid-80's, and this is more or less a step back, a large step back. Again, a staple of these type of games is you click on the corpse, and your toon runs up and loots it. It is pretty much just that simple. Again, this should be common knowledge among your team of veterans, but yet, in its simplicity it seemed to escape you. Let me reiterate it for you, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The looting system you have now is a pain in the ass. Given that the other two Dragon Age games had it, why depart from it?
The controls are clunky. I want to PLAY your game, because from what I have seen so far, it is really cool. I DO NOT want to spend time learning some new funky assed control scheme that detracts from my enjoyment of the game. Forcing it upon us rather than giving us the option to customize the gaming experience to the way that we want to play is a pretty poor design choice. Not sure what you cats were thinking with this one.
AND just one more time for the road, "If it is not broken, don't fix it."
COME ON BOZOWARE! It is time to fix this horsetookey, or at the bare minimum, get your clowshoe selves in here and tell is that all hope is lost, and you are to busy swimming in our money.
