Oh c'mon! Don't you realize that the game obviously wasn't finished when it was released and the so called second patch screwed the game even more, making it virtually unplayable.
At no point in time was this even partially true.

for me nearly everything darrah and laidlaw said fueled the shitstorm in everyway possible, while people complain about bad (or no) communication they ignored the official forum completly while doing the twitter, playing everytime with a controler while people complain about mouse and keyboard controls, announcing da:i started as a multiplayergame (maybe differ between coop and mmorpg) while people complain about mmo'ish gamestyle etc. it was hillarious. these guys have lost every connection to reality or just have very very bad social skills and the game, the studio, and the developers have to suffer for it.
QFT
Couldn't agree more.
Their elitist, can't be bothered with the "commoners", "users", "peasants" (fill in the blank) ... whatever we're known as in their Ivory Tower attitude rubbed me raw like 50-grit sandpaper. Every stupid tweet praising GOTY while completely IGNORING us re-rubbed that raw spot on my soul.
If you can tweet about GOTY on your vacation, you can communicate that you're listening and something will be worked on. Instead they couldn't be bothered. This is NOT a dev issue with me ... it's a management one (Laidlaw and Darrah). These guys are simpleton tools as far as I'm concerned. Their reputations (along with BooWare) have forever been tarnished with me. Anything with these guys names associated with it will be suspect and viewed with caution.

At no point in time was this even partially true.
The game wasn't finished, they even said they left things out that they wanted to include. And its glaringly obvious even what they released wasn't finished, from the Qunari race content not being completed, to the lazy armor designs that all look the same. Plenty of other things too.

DAI actually reminded me a lot of SWTOR in terms of gameplay/controls. Thats what I really loved about it. My only complaint is the melee combat in DAI isn't as mobile and fluid as SWTORs melee. Coming from a sentinel, the dual wield rogue felt very choppy. Mages played just like Sage to me though.
One thing I will say is that with the DA teams faults, I'd take them over the SWTOR dev team any day. PVP in that game is criminally unbalanced, the game suffers from severe performance issues and the false global cooldowns that plagued the game since launch is still in there to this day. And don't even get me started on the poor server stability, and Harbinger's assuming control of the rollbacks on a weekly basis. I pre ordered the Revan expansion and have yet to play it. Wonder if I can still get it refunded?
Yes as far as WASD to move, R-click to start combat, etc. There are other issues SWTOR does much better too, like looting from a bit of a distance. It isn't necessary to be within one foot of a loot chest/mob to loot. However this isn't the issue I have with the PC controls. Annoyances in combat are not controller related, per se. They are just clunky overall in DAI. I find I attack air all the time. I don't know who I've got targeted, and auto-targeting seems to focus on the nearest mob, even if that mob is a fennec. At least SWTOR tells you what you have targeted and auto-targets to other mobs in the enemy group you are fighting, not the nearby bronto. The AI seems much more intelligent too. My ranged companion stays at range, and doesn't run up to the killer death robot for no apparent reason.
For me it's more how the inventory, skills and crafting tree are optimized and designed solely for controller use in DAI, no tool tips, and other useful PC interface features most people would expect.

Wow, 3 pages of rant an flame later I get to the end. as for the p3 patch hopes, don't hold your breath. It will mostly consist of fix's for the fix's that didn't work that they added in P2.
I just hope the patch school they all went to over the holidays taught them something, or was it a Community Relations Outreach Program ![]()

Sure, but the majority of PC gamers have no problem with it
-------------
Big Snip
From Gamefaqs posted Dec 28, 2014 :
http://www.gamefaqs....sition/70901136
Ps3 = 230,000
Ps4 = 810,000
Xbox 360 = 200,00
Xbox one = 370,000
PC = 270,000
Total = 1,880,000 units sold as of December the 6th ..
------------------------------------------
From what I can gather, from reading various threads,
is the following (excluding gameplay control, UI issues)
1. Old Gen consoles have various problems/issues with hardware and game play. Some really awful.
2. PCs with nVidia GPUs have hardware/driver issues... serious ones
3. Next Gen platforms have the least problems/issues
4. PCs with AMD GPUs have the least problems/issues
A little math:
1. PS4+ XB1 = 810k+370k = 1180k players that have the least number of issues
2. PS3+360 = 230k+200k = 430k that have the more serious issues
3. PC = I arbitrarily split the platform into 50% nVidia/AMD GPUs and we get
= 270k DAI games/2 = 135k PC AMD GPU ---- least number of issues
= 135k PC nVidia GPU -- more serious issues.
Or another way to see the stats:
1. PS4 + XB1 + PC AMD GPUs = 810k + 370k + 135k = 1,315k with the least number of issues
2. PS3 + 360 + PC nVidia GPUs = 230k + 200k + 135k = 565k with the more serious number of issues
Mind you, it's all based on my interpretation of the problems posted in the various threads.
So,.... "...but the majority of PC gamers have no problem with it ..." appears to be right on the money.
Bio, I'm sure, have a much better grasp of the actual sales numbers. Nevertheless, the above stats point to a trend which is 43% (565k) of all sales have higher priority issues that need to be addressed. The TYPES of issues is something I am unwilling to speculate but Laidlaw did mention (in a tweet?) that DAI MP is supported... while SP was not mentioned.
I'm speculating, here.
BIO will address the serious problems first with some easy fix KB+M issues thrown in for PATCH 3.
EDIT: The above numbers don't include digital sales.

Sartoz, none of these stats infer how many PC users are dissatisfied specifically with the pc UI, which is what his comment was referring to.
And even if there was a way to poll every pc user for that info, without digital sales numbers the results would be far from accurate. (I don't even know where you'd get those stats)
