If you're one of those people who wants a couple of other people at Bioware to get fired because you don't like their their product, then you ****** suck. And no, I'm not putting it more nicely than that. You're a jerk and a bad person. Do you know what it's like to be unemployed? ****** terrible. You're a bad person and bad things should happen to you. That's an overreaction in the extreme. That's like me wanting someone at Jergens to get fired because some lotion gave me a rash.
A game that you don't like and *gasp* was designed with a controller in mind is not cataclysmic, it's not apocalyptic, and it's not the end of the world. You're comparing the sinking of the goddamn Titanic to a video game launch. For ****'s sake.
I'm not wishing for people's firstborn to disappear or bad things to happen to the team. I am also not all het up..and foaming at the mouth. I am disappointed, Bioware "used" to be the game company you could trust. I "used" to pre-order from them. Not happy with being misled into believing this was a PC game. Not happy with the controls. Not happy with the accumulating lag. Not happy that it resembles Mass Effect in the way it plays.
Pretty game, flat 2 D characters, too many cutscenes. Yes I can run it....no I don't crash (so far) but I am pretty sure I am done with Bioware, its obvious the PC fanbase is not something they care about. /shrug C'est la vie.

Having bought this game, waited nearly a week to find out when I can actualy potentially start to play it and enjoy it, I am starting to get incredibly frustrated at the silence. I don't think Bioware need to be watching feedback and taking notes about a patch that may nor may not ever live up to expectiation. I think think they need to be actively engaging the PC community and discussing what can be done and what won't be done an for what reasons. In the long run it will be a lot more productive, some people will be disapointed and some people will get what they want perhaps. It would be nice to have something constructive going on here besides some BS silent observation while everyone celebrates another successful console release in the foreground.

Guess what, if you're doing your work sh*tty it's only fair. If you're charging for a crap a decent amount of money on top of that, you're not a very nice person either.
You know what? That's your opinion. A lot of people are playing this game and enjoying it. I was having my own very frustrating CTD issues until yesterday, and *knock on wood* I've been able to play for hours at a time with no crashes.
If you don't like the game or the controls or the lack of RP-ness, then that's your opinion. If you can't play the game, then read the first post. Bioware is working on a fix. Take it or leave it.

I'm disappointed too. I don't like the controls or that 70% of the game appears to be cutscenes. I don't like that my character can't make more decisions. I've decided that since I plunked down my money though, and that the game is not unplayable and it's, IMO, far better than DA2, I'm going to enjoy it for what it is.

To be honest, I don´t care about the UI, the controls, the camera, the cutscenes, the bugs, the glitch sound, not even the Pre Order DLC, I just want to play thins on stable 60fps! I have a PC with the recommended spces, even in High/Medium I don' get more than 35-40fps average (yes 60fps on some parts of skyhold, or some room on a castle, but outisde, on the forest, on the cities sttuter and low frames everywhere, everyday).

Ahaha, aren't you charming. "They're working on it". People have waited 3 years and 3 months of delay, it's been anothe week and still it's unplayable for many. I'm not even talking about the UI or KM binding, but crashes and bugs that prevents a further playthrough? That is so not suppose to happen when you pay for something such a price.
You like it only because it works for you? Good for you. But this thread is about problems with the game and people have every right to be angry and dissapointed, you can go and praise it anywhere else.

This game is a complete broken mess. The amount of bugs and crashes this game have is just unbelievable. I have amd 290 crosfire and the frame rate is a joke, even crysis 3 runs smoother on my pc. I just can't believe how much they failed with this one.

As much as i dont want to be one of those cynical guys.......so much for we are pc players at heart.....when you consider the chart they made showed more people would aquire this game on pc, this is really a punch in the stomach.....Dragon age was the only thing keeping me as a EA customer.....well sad to see you go but this is goodbye.

The keyboard controls are absolutely terrible, but my gut feeling is that this is probably not deliberate. Having worked in IT departments I have seen instances where the developer and the IT staff see something with one set of filters and get a massive shock when they roll out the change and people don't use it the way they expect. This is probably just a bit more on a grand scale than when I've seen that happen. I'm expecting they all have game pads and they just didn't realise that most of us aren't interested in them.
I am baffled as to why they needed to use every key in their keyboard and why they didn't give us a radial menu, mouse controls and the ability to click and select things like before. In my opinion it's the simplest and most logical way and far easier on people with a disability.

This consolification of pc games has been a sore spot for alot of gamers, myself included. If, as its been suggested, there is pressure being applied to developers to "nerf" pc games by console makers, then my question is this: Why aren't hardware manufacturers, like Amd, Intel, Nvidia, Asus, Corsair etc etc.. also not applying pressure to get these games made more to cater to the pc platform? I'm a pc gamer. I use a keyboard and mouse. The software I purchase , I want made for that setup.I prefer the higher framerates and the better visual fidelity that the pc offers. I priced out two Gtx 980 strix cards with two year IPR at a whopping $1950.00 Canadian. So why would someone spend that kind of scratch when, for a quarter of the price, a console can offer a similar experience? I do realize that the PSN and Xbox live memberships, 110 and 48 million respectively, are higher than the steam and origin memberships 75 and 40 million but its not like its a niche market either. At the end of the day I'm not going to buy a lamborghini and swap out the engine for a four cylinder just to appease the guy sitting next to me in the Sentra.

Seriously, I don't get why people are still pre-ordering after all what happened with ME3, DA2 (that's the BW part) and more recently with almost all the so-called AAA "next gen" games (Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed. CODAW only to mention the most obvious ones...).
Why is it always the same story: "Waaaa the PR- Department did a good job, game is crap, misleading advertisement, overhyped, blablabla, I shouldn't have pre-ordered it. Never buy a game of this company again. Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fixit Fix it Fix it Fixit Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it Fix it. NOW"
Why don't wait a couple of weeks, read what other users said about the game, see if the aforementioned problems are to be solved or not and then decide to buy it or not?
Gaming is a business, don't expect the companies to tell you "Well you know, we've tried our best but there still are a **** ton of bugs, the story is not that original, the combat is somewhat clunky". If you still believe them then you know the old saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...

since 2 years; xbox controllers were used in all videos that i watched about dragon age inquisition ( even in the development stages) i think nobody used kb+m before last month. here is the result of that. they can not fix it. it will be a another fiasco. graphics are wonderful, characters are awsome, story is so good but you can not play because of tactical camera and kb+m issues. i tried to play but really it is frustrating. i think, i will continue to play dragon age origins over and over again. maybe next game in the series will have better controllers for pc.

doubt it, the same thing will happen over and over again
it's pandering to the lowest common demomatior
their keep pandering to console player with their next installment
with all the AAA games that have been release recently the only game that i have sunk alot of hours in to is binding of isaac rebirth, a pixel shaded remake of a flash game, only game recently to hold my attention

That's because they make their money from console players. I bought DA2 on launch day and walked into Best Buy after work, not knowing if they would have any left. The guy kind of laughed and said that there were a lot of PC copies available but they were almost out of console versions.

I find the controls awkward, tactical camera isn't really viable for combat and I've had some slight audio issues. My settings are maxed and my game has run without incident.
I would appreciate something that helped address the tactical camera issues and improved the controls but really for me these issues pale into a petty annoyance because the game is incredible. Visually it has the most stunning environments I've ever seen in a game. The characters are well drawn, skillfully acted and have believable motivations. The music is engrossing and carries your emotions along with it's melodies. The story is classic epic fantasy but asks the player to question the nature of faith and leadership. The combat is enjoyable action rpg, filled with flashy effects and a nod to it's tactical roots but the strength of the gaming experience lies in the engagement of the players emotions and the beauty of the world they participate in.
I can run the game without problem and I can control the characters (with some rebinding) with a keyboard and mouse and most importantly I want to go to the effort to get used to the controls and combat style because to my mind this is a game that is very well worth playing. ![]()

For all I care they can go for it and make it a console exclusive. Then there isn´t any false pretense left.

Sigh ...
So I don't have any issues with crashes and my computer runs this game well enough however!!!!!! I can't stand the UI. The game is straight up difficult to understand. After 15+ hours I have decided the bottom 2 issues have made it so that I don't want to play until the game is fixed. This game REAKS of being a console port.
My issues:
1.) Combat is sloppy. Everyone is right! I don't want to beat a deadhorse but it's atrocious and smells of a console port. Dragon Age: Origins and even the sequel is much better than this console ported nonsense. Closing a rift is a chore! Just so awkward. The combat is messy. I want to sit back and watch everything go down like DA:O and even part 2 but can't.
2.) The gear/crafting/sppeccing system is downright confusing and not user friendly. Now, I have been playing RPGs since the days of DOS operating systems- if it's a RPG, I've played it. This gear/crafting system is just too damn hard to understand not user-friendly whatsoever. WHERE ARE THE TOOLTIPS?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!
3.) Why is there no option to walk? Seriously?
The first two I mentioned are what's going to keep me from playing.
I know now that even Bioware is no longer a company I can trust for buying a game on day 1. Enough is enough, games these days are simply not ready on day 1 anymore and I am finished giving my money to the companies only having to wait for the game to be where it should be.
I really wanted to play this through my break but it's not ready to go. Guess I am going to wait for the patches that get this game back into the league of what is to be expected from PC games- especially from Bioware.
That being said - the game is gorgeous and right now, such a tease!
