Added key binding that allows players to walk.

Added mouse cursor scaling.

Fixed issue that could result in the mouse getting stuck in mouse-look mode when players alt-tabbed out of the game in full-screen mode.

Thats it? thats all we get?, holy batmans shorts, Good luck am done..

honestly, don't expect more, guys, for reasons already stated and restated on this thread. But it's something, at last. Some communication and fixes.

Well, there is still hope at least....not why I was expecting but it is something. Hope I can replay the game in a better experience before March. After that, I will probably be too focused on Pillars and after that, Witcher.

Hey Everyone, notes for the upcoming Patch 3 on PC are now available here.

We're continuing to work on making your DA:I experience better, and we will provide more updates in the future when we can.

I can't confirm a release date just yet, but will update when I can.

Any word on the Qunari armor bug? Thats a pretty big one effecting everyone, from what i can tell.

I was expecting something bigger, and was really hoping for better tac cam but even though I am happy with banter being less random and most of the singleplayer fixes. Now there is a question should I play or wait especially that I bought the game just few days ago and I am not that far.

He's said all he can .... We need to read between the lines of Conal's post regarding communication.  He'll post what he can, when he's given permission to do so.

I'd have to agree that this patch seems really "light" in addressing the issues of PC Users in particular, however- as said before, change is happening and communication is ALWAYS appreciated.

Thanks to the development team for working diligently on addressing issues- but please be aware that there is so much more (some of it pretty crucial to gameplay, like ahem basic controls with mouse/keyboard) that needs to be fixed.

no tac cam fixes/improvements other than the snapping bug. Not surprised I guess.

Keep up hope, friend. At least we got something out of them instead of the withering silence.

QFT

Couple of things I think people will like however.

1)  Walk toggle

2)  Tac cam no longer centers when changing characters

3)  Update to party banter (although they didn't say they squashed the bug, but fired banter more often)

I misworded my question will this patch deal with the misallocation problem between DA:I and Origins

To be honest, I'm surprised they're bothering trying to fix the tac cam. When I used it in the tutorial I though 'LOL, no way...' And haven't touched it since.

Still, for what it is, it's good to see they're focusing on bug fixes rather than messing about with 'balance changes'. Just wish there was more of it.

Specifially, I think the notes said the banter will be made "less random"  Which will still help.

I'd honestly hate to be the person having to announce this sort of thing- and I really do feel compassion there.

As the saying goes - "Don't shoot the messenger."

That said- I ask everyone to please use a little caution in your expression :)

I just hope the patch is going live this month couse i would really like to hear more banter, not a one dialog for 2-3 hours. I used to PC controlls, tac cam is not needed at all on normal difficulty and so far I do not have any questbraking bug so banter is the main thing I wait for. And hopefully second playthrough will be with fully functional PC version allowing me to play on nightmare and be happy using tac cam

Hey that guy was being a total JERK and deserved to get kicked into the pit. Especially the way he talked about women.

As far as the Bioware employee who mentioned the patch- he's been REALLY kind and considerate- I think we should give him the same respect, no?

Well...  I suppose some of these things were needed.  I appreciate the tactical camera not flipping to other members, which annoyed the hell outta me; and I'll look into the changing of the prowler armor as that bug was baffling to crafters.

I appreciate any work that you continue to do on this product you made.  It shows that you still care about your creation - Something old BW did.  But you as a company I feel, need to re-evaluate your business practices.  You need to determine what audience you really want, because this "appeal to EVERYONE" clearly didn't work.  Dragon Age Inquisition catered very directly to a "new" audience with an enormous emphasis  on character romance, action and flash, over narrative/story, and player agency.  Why should you care about the old BW crowd, is because you can win them back...  Or just focus on maximizing dat monies, and after another bad release or 2, let EA liquidate you.

Btw, we know it didn't work specifically because of the lack of sales numbers that haven't be touted around - at the 2 month mark.  So your EA overlords probably aren't ecstacic

I guess, thank you for what you have done to improve the game, and keep trying to improve it...  But recognize that for alot of people its going to be too little too late - which could have been avoided.  People have made their playthrough, said "meh", and won't touch it until you get some DLC.

when they make the game playable on PC-KB/M you know a game for Pc Gamers by Pc Gamers, that cost $80/£60 instead of 3months of ignorance sure, but thats just me a paid Customer..

oh look, patch 3 notes... toggle to walk, hmmm, yea we already had that, mouse cursor scaling, hmm, I'll believe it when I see it..  hmmm... and nothing else?

tumblr_mtrwuvN0bu1rqp2rqo1_500.gif

Nothing for key mapping for mouse? pathfinding related functions? Tac Cam tweaks?  Tac Cam camera fixes?  Mouse nav?  Select All button?  Hide UI (all UI) button?

I'm not saying that right now, but I'm not not saying it either ;)

I'll give you more updates when I can, but can't say much at this stage.

I see...

Conal, I know you realize we appreciate *any* communication here.  But if there's more in this patch, or in a hotfix for this patch, that address any of these additional issues, we desperately would like to know, like, as soon as possible.

I shelled out like you did- and I feel frustrated as well- but the bottom line is the person making the announcement shouldn't have to bear the responsibility of the company's decisions, no?
