Ashen, Argatel-you two are pansies! I had to solo that bastard with my Blade bard, because activating defensive stance and rooting myself seemed like a good idea, at the time. Except that his AOE pushback attack would move me the hell away despite being rooted, which caused my char to wait on the sidelines, until The Big Red finished off the rest of my group. I had to drink every potion, equip every fire resist item I could find, empty all my spells and all my potions, but in the end I've managed to survive on my own, with only 7hp left. My Blade was lvl 11-13, at the time, the only quests I've done before doing dragon quests were Nalia's stronghold, rescue father quest and the circus to get Aerie, so my main wasn't all that strong and it was nothing short of a miracle, that my bard took down a whooping red dragon all by himself.

POE is done by Obsidian, i wouldn't hold out for that being much better regarding their previous jaw dropping stunts at game development. I fully expect TW3 to be a great game as usual from CDKP but its still going to be a pc port from console similar to TW2, the good news is at least they did the port correctly.

you played with a Blade seriously?!!  Haerdalis was so useless it's one of the few classes I didn't at least try

I have to say that i am disappointed with the patch 3 info, i do not see any of the pc control changes like auto attack so this is not what we were promised.

I think i will stop waiting for fixes and play the game as is as i don’t think we will get what we want.

You should know by now that PCs are for office work. Its that boring adults do with Pcs. Everyone up to 16 years now that consoles are the way to go.

Its enough to look on the past few years and the huge drop in the quality of the games ( caused by console ) , yes the graphics getting better mostly, but everything else is getting dumped more and more and i dont like this at all.

Hey, just because you've ran into one useless Tiefling, with his sissy, useless short swords, does not makes the class useless. As far as I'm concerned, Blade is one of the best classes in BG2/ToB! My bard was swinging two bastard swords, he was like a wrecking ball on the loose, with ridiculously low THAC0(which was a good thing), and ridiculously low invulnerability(which is also a good thing). Throw in arcane spells on top of that, and pretty much nothing can hurt Blade.

And it gets even sillier in Throne of Bhaal, when you unlock UMD and can use and wield anything. it was my most favorite character by far, right after Wild Mage and followed by Swashbuckler, with sorcerer closing the chart. Wild Mage and sorcerer are the most powerful ones, but sorcerer is bland and boring compared to randomness of Wild Mage and variety of Blade.

But yeah, back to not so pleasant things-patch 3...

Does anybody else thinks, this should've been turned into a fully fledged feature, instead of getting a fix? I mean it's not like mouse cursor is of any use in this game...

I don't understand why they made tac-cam a separate mode. Does Frostbite really make it difficult to just pull the camera out as in Origins (which used the Eclipse Engine).

Honestly the more time that passes the more I believe that a lot of the game's problems stem from the fact that Frostbite just can't do what is needed.

What about ability fixes. Some are bugged, some do not work as intended. Think detonators.

2H warriors are gimped, none of their abilities can detonate. Patch 4 or 5 fix maybe at this rate.

I don't think they are going to fix the tac-cam, because is like admit they made a mistake and sure they are thinking "noooo... we got many GOTY how can a GOTY have a so basic error".

 

For they the tac-cam is perfect, and only a few pc grumpy players have issues with it.

 

 

You are probably right, because admitting that they made a fundamental mistake with game design has never every been a part of Bioware culture. 

 

But even mighty Blizzard had to swallow their collective pride, axe the lead designer and make considerable changes and even removing "core" elements of the game because they were terrible. 

 

That must have been a new feeling to them too at the time.

Is this patch 3 live? Nothing downloaded when i started origin, also no new threat here named "bugs and glitches that patch 3 brought: discuss". I really want to start my 2nd playthrough but if i still can't get half companion quests and bugs after every area load...
