Thanks for updating us and coming in here to talk.  Glad to know we haven't been forgotten haha.

Thats just sales talk for sorry old chap we have no clue how to fix that problem at this given time,please call back in 4-6weeks for an updated automatic message on your technical issue.

Atlantico, has it ever occurred to you that the reason some have been saying it isn't necessary was because the features that are restricted to it (the things you are saying we must have or the game loses it's identity) should have been accessible in both modes to begin with, like they were in Origins and DA2?

 

The way I see it, DA:O was basically always in what is now referred to as tac-cam mode. Then there's this new thing in DA:I which never existed before, action hack'n'slash.

 

Merging them would be fine by me, and I know it would work gameplay-wise, because then it would be much like it was in DA:O, but removing tac-cam? No thanks. Between two evils, I'll pick the lesser one.

 

I use normal mode to explore and tac-cam to fight. You go ahead and try to fight in normal mode and see whether or not you'll prefer it to tac-cam. If you do, Laidlaw will surely send you a postcard next Christmas ;)

I don't think there's any question they do.  I think there are mandates put in place preventing them from showing it however.

 
I think you're correct; there is just a consistency confusion in posting a plan and not updating it, coupled with the mandate to be silent.  Throw sentiments like "vocal minority", "forums are cesspools", "abandon thread" type of things publically expressed by individuals in semi-private channels and you have a muddled expectation.  Then you add "check the thread for updates!" in both public channels and an official blog, with no updates, and it becomes even more muddled.  I know how easy it is to be dismissive of the things you don't want to hear and just brush them off, I've done it.  So while I agree with your statement, I sincerely hope someone perceives, discusses, and pushes back on the shortcomings in communication and respect.  Even if we never hear about and it does no good.  Pure sentiment on my part.

Well, DAO had edge scrolling whenever you paused the game. 

 

Which, if they could figure out how to implement in DAI, would really solve the problems and eliminate the need for the whole console-required invisible character control fiasco that currently exists.

Player preference. It was widely requested, so we threw a few people at implementing and testing it."

 

 

But I feel like ive seen fixing pc controls, fixing tac cam, and click to move / attack have been wayyy more requested??? not to mention you can still play the game without walk toggle and it would be fine, its just an immersion thing, but the other things are kind of crucial to enjoying the game. Could be walk toggle was easier to implement..

Apparently Joseph Taylor @JarthallT really doesn't get why anyone would need to walk in a game revolving around exploration, why anyone would even bother asking for it....

What I REALLY love about current keybindings is that I don't even NEED a mouse to play.

 

can you double check the game's name in the top left corner of your screen doesn't say PAC-MAN?

OK, who wants to sacrifice himself first to try the patch and advise us if it's good or not :D

 

edit: patch is 81 mb. No change in performance. Frame rate is the same as before in Hinterlands and Emerald, lower than before inside the Skyhold.

This is insane,

with the Walking sim script i could walk, jog and sprint. With patch 3 i can only walk and sprint. It's what we wanted, and i thank the patch but to be less than a fan mod that came before? just... lmao

They are saying coming soon on the EA web page, no mention of patch being available now.
Sounds weird they would not say patch is now online.

Doesn't do d!ck that I can see.  I can now walk (zippie-doo-da) - and granted, the walk anim for women in this game is perfectly nice, but it only makes the trudge slower.  Still can't mine/gather and thus no reqs or specs.  Walked around for twenty minutes jumping from area to area and no one in my party said a thing.  Zip.  Usually I'll get something entering a new area, but now crickets. No music either and the background ambiance seems to have been heavily muted.

 

So...

 

...still shite. 

 

So what's it to the actual fixes?  Another 2 weeks?  A month? 

 

What's in this sloggish game worth that kinda wait?  I must be missing it.

I checked under Key Bindings and see no option to Walk yet. Was that really in patch 3?

once again i was right, pc controls of this game are beyond fixing. they can not fix it. that legendary person who designed controls of this game have no idea about mouse and keyboard.. you can walk with this patch and varric is not dancing when you talk with him thats all.
