yeah.. I really had my fingers crossed that this wouldn't flop. I've been very forgiving on the game's issues, but frankly it's disappointing.

Because the development cycle for Patch 3 fell over the holiday period, our priority focus for this patch were items that blocked progress (like key drop or Dorian's quest) and other bug fixes. It's important for us that our devs have time at the holidays to spend with their loved ones and families, and after a long production cycle, this was some well deserved time off.
We are still working on future items and improvements for later patches based on the feedback we have received here and elsewhere. I can't give you any specifics as of yet, but as Scylla said, improving PC mouse and keyboard controls is still a priority for us. The fact that we weren't able to get it into patch 3 doesn't change that priority, as not at bugs and features are created (or solved) equal.
I can't provide further updates until after Patch 3 is out, but I will give more info once it's possible to do so.

it is important for everybody to spend time with their loved ones.  its good you gave time to your devs at holidays. i think your devs also should spend some time with keyboard and mouse. maybe try to identify them. yes they look like scary magical devices and your devs have no idea what they are used for but some strange people uses them on their pc. By the way thank you for the new patch.

I'm staying here to get my money's worth. If the patches and fixes stop coming before I feel the game was worth my money and time, then I'll head elsewhere with my disposable income. As it is, I will not preorder anything from Bioware because it's simply a disappointment when the game is released. It's the bargain bin for me. I am no longer compelled to own every DLC from Bioware. I'll have to wait it out until it hits the bargain bin and that's only if I'm still interested in the game. The old me of preordering stuff at Gamestop or online from Origin vanished into the Fade. Even the moneyback guarantee from Origin isn't going to persuade me to do otherwise. I'm not cheap by any means, but I value my personal disposable income.

I have stopped playing the game . The Witcher 3 will soon be out.  Next Bioware titles I will download from a torrent site and when they are pc games with full mouse and keyboard control I will buy them . Once bitten twice shy . I am not giving Bioware anymore money in advance because they can not be trusted.

Bah, why the heck do I even care about this series. Dragon Age is not a series, it is a train wreck. Dragon Age Origins was an excellent RPG which I shall remember as a single stand alone game. DAII was a step in the wrong direction, and DAI is just a middle finger from BW to some of its most loyal passionate fans. This patch is an absolute disgrace from what was once the greatest video game company in the world.

Yeeup i did the very same thing swtor once they went ftp and gave me the middle finger for being for being a subbie too.bioware died the day EA bought it, and we're suckers for sticking around, still hoping they step up.

"...still hoping they step up." I'm a stubborn optimist. Dorian described me as a unicorn once. I kind of think that's appropriate.

Lets not forget that wonderful game "Kingdoms of Amalur".. Im sure EA would...

I actually liked amalur, mainly because i wasnt expecting anything from it.

I Spent a good amount of hours on an uncompromised play. The story isnt that bad, controls are okay, and you can choose your own abilities, its much more flexible than Inquisition.

Oh quit your whining. I don't get why you're so surprised. Have you read the patch notes? The patch is supposed to fix issues with certain quests, add in a walk toggle and fix some minor issues. And guess what, that's what it did. And broke the stats for crafted shields in the process, brilliant...

I hate the tactical cam as much as the next person. I want them to fix the frame rate drops in cutscenes. I want to play the game without any cutscene crashes. I want more options to rebind stuff and I want them to improve my UI. But you know what actually breaks the game for me? When I can't get the quests to trigger. And I bloody well want them to take their time with the patches instead of screwing everything up like they did with patch 2. I agree that they should have had more time for testing before they released the game, and I really don't want them to make the same mistakes with the patches. I'd rather wait for the tactical camera fix if it means that they've tested it properly. There's no point in rushing it out just to shut people up if you're just gonna have to patch it again.

How much MONEY do I need to pay you for a damn dragon in multiplayer and to fix the tactical camera to make it have actual TILT CONTROL!? HELLOOOOO TILT CONTROL????????????

F*** holy S*** this is pathetic.

I've probably been one of the more vocal in my EA criticism, here, but in this case, re: the "disappointing" patch content--I reckon, lay off a bit.

It is clear the devs did go on holiday. Okay. Whether that was wise, at the time, is another debate. (IMO, it was not. A game is not "finished" until the immediate game-breaking support is, and as such, I believe there should have been... more thought... put into that. Again, not entering into this one).

However, it is clear the PC stuff is going to take a while--longer than promised. For whatever reason. Someone has said, "If the alternative is not giving anything until it's all done.... well, why don't we at least give out what we do have, now? Get something to the players until we sort out the bigger stuff?"

I'm actually not going to complain about that, sorry.

I am amused/disappointed they managed to break unrelated somethings in the process. More amused. It was expected. ;)

I wholeheartedly agree. I went into the game with no expectations and was surprised. However, I bought it during a Steam Holiday sale. If the game was bad, it was a controlled gambling loss. Now it's a loss at the start and you have to wait for heavy-duty patches to break even.

EA done an amazing job really, because as PC players, we naturally are more inclined to criticize the whole game; story, mechanics, gameplay... et al.

Once we have a KBAM roadblock they can just label us nuts because we cant adapt, and so they dont even need to address further complaints.

Exclusives. So Microsoft paid the highest ransom. And i through it was mostly sold for PS4.

Anyway its not like i wish to buy DLC or anything from EA anyway.

the developer is trying to convince fans that the exclusivity is better for everyone

That is fantastic, a new level of cinism. But seriously why would you want a DLC? To add more broken gear? To add more fedex quests?

In an effort to make a game set within a large open world that still features BioWare’s signature storytelling, Dragon Age: Inquisition producer Cameron Lee revealed to Examiner during an exclusive interview that the developer feels like they have created a game that truly captures both the heart and scope of the game that the team always wanted to make.

Lee stated that BioWare didn’t’ just manage to accomplish what they originally set out to do with the series’ third installment, but instead feels like they ended up making a game better than what was originally envisioned. The Inquisition producer revealed that game development is always a tricky business. Throughout the course of any game’s creation, Lee said that there is no question that the product evolves as there are constant changes and shifts being made for a variety of reasons.

These changes could end up making the title not live up to the developer’s original idea Lee admitted. With Dragon Age: Inquisition, however, he said that BioWare was able to make the overall feel of the game land right where they wanted it to be. This was due in large part to the fact that the developer was given the opportunity to delay the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition for an extra year. According to Lee, this gave the team time to add a lot more to the game than what they first thought possible.

Quoting myself from another thread (sorry about that, just doing the Bioware dance):

'

@ Lannes 1789

Trying to apply ethical semantics to the business practices of a listed corporation like EA -and to the decisions of top-executive who chose to remain in the company after a buy-out, e.g. Mike and Mark - is almost as useful and pertinent as trying to recite Willam Blake's famous poem to calm a hunting tiger.

We would say, colloquially and loosely translated from my mother tongue: 'as useful as pissing in a violin'. Pardon my French. Pun intended.

And of course everybody respect and appreciate the work of the employees.

If you're interested in understanding where I'm coming from, please read Pen-and-Paper (user) on the Pc community concerns thread and my own modest earlier contributions to this -sadly- sterile debate.

Never again again, Hype, never again.

@Oryctolagus

We meet interesting people while loosing our time, though.

Well, aren't you cute? I love how you just assumed that I'm a clueless casual who never noticed anything wrong with the game.

I've been very aware of the issues on PC since release. I've been dealing with these issues during the almost 200 hours that I've put into the game. But that doesn't mean I have to spend all my time complaining about it.
