So I currently cannot play the game after Patch 3. I'm not sure if it is caused by Patch 3 though.

There are two different instances: creating a character and playing a load game.

Creating a New Character:

Everything goes well up until your new character is supposed to stagger up from the ground.

No character shown getting up, just green fog. Then it skips to the 5 face choices but doesn't show any faces.

All that shows is a green background and flashes of yellow light.

Loading Saved Game:

The entire screen is all rainbow flashes, no matter which way I turn the camera. Occaisonally I'll see a flash of door or wall, but it's extremely disorienting and really not at all playable.

I've checked for updates and repaired the game through Origin. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

*Note: The main menu, options screen, and loading screens are perfect.

Try to contact Origin or EA by phone. They'll make you do the following (and if it works after then thank Origin... it's what they told me to do.):

You'll want a clean boot. There are instructions for this on the EA website.

You'll want to make sure that the drivers are the ones that were released specifically for Inquisition. AMD has already updated their drivers, but Bioware says to stay with the beta that was put out after the release date.

You'll want to check device manager and make sure that all of your devices are not having any issues.

If the problem still persists, the next issue is to clear your caches and uninstall the game. Download it through Origin client and then run repair/install.

After all that, they'll narrow your problem down if the above doesn't fix it.

Also, everyone on that end of the phoneline is really cool.

For me, the clean boot was key. DAI didn't like Raptr and once it was disabled, I was able to progress. I still have FPS issues, but not as often and the game is still in the process of being patched. Origin scored 10/10 with every call I've made.

Either that Cyan or they're looking to ban those of us most critical of this PC Debacle.

Oh, and just to show that we aren't the only ones making their voice known.  This is from PenquinFetish.  A BSN poster and Reddit Mod for DAI (I think)

This is pathetic...  And what some of the mods are doing is downright offensive in that vid.  The whole demeanor of these people just isn't the same as old BW.

But to be fair to the guy in the video: "I bought this game for the multiplayer" lolwut...  And here I am advocating that multiplayer shouldn't even be in it lol.

Good luck fixing the damage from patch 3.  I sincerely hope it turns out alright for the sake of the employees.

It was more the point of how Bioware was treating their customers.  Not so much about the multiplayer.  But still.  Broken game is broken.  Regardless of which part of it you play.

wouild you expect anyless from the 2 time winner of the golden poo award for worst company in america, EA a gaming company beating out even worse company like comcast and bank of america really says something

and the funny thing is that EA actually came out and said they would try to do better by their customer,  guess their words are worth as much as their golden poo awards

Your worse than ColonelKillabee...

"Yeah, you're wife might very well be into that sort of thing..." (I'm paraphrasing, but no. No. No. No. No... no.)

I also believe MatrixGirl just believes the same way I do and we're a generation apart. It's cool to know that our next leading generation gets "it."

You lost me , whos ColonelKillabbee :),

I started a thread about exploring the idea of polyamory. That was nuts... and extremely informative.

So, customer service right? Useful tool for keeping customers happy. It's called PR on the Web, dear Bioware.

Why am I being asked to register my game for a THIRD time now? On a server I CAN'T connect to? Again?

I activated the game the day I purchased.

I had to activate it AGAIN after over 200 hours played and ran into this exact same issue. Here's my post over at the answer hq you guys keep referring to cause you don't want to actually interact with people having problems

That thread is 86 pages and going and has some how been marked as solved. No one there actually helped me do anything, and when I finally got a hold of someone after several hours of waiting in queue they just had me do completely unrelated nonsense like clear my cache which didn't resolve anything. The problem fixed itself about 12 hours after it initially happened.

And here I am AGAIN. I was JUST PLAYING THIS GAME 20 minutes ago and now I can't cause I've been asked to activate my game for a THIRD time and ONCE AGAIN I can't connect to your worthless servers.

Can someone actually respond to this?

So about hair to the game.

Why doesn't they have long hairstyles for both genders and all races or some nice hairdoes?

Some great examples exist in LOTR or other roleplaying games.

And then make it in a hairpack that we can buy.

And also i want to make a feminine human male but they all look so macho. Can't you make softer faces for the human male?

Thank you.

There are 5 stages of loss and grief:
1 Denial
2 Anger
3 Bargaining
4 Depression
5 Acceptance

It seems to me that most people in this forum are now at stage 4 or 5. Yesterday, I reached stage 5. I uninstalled the game and watched the remaining cut scenes on youtube. They were mediocre and completely forgettable, like the rest of the game. Afterwards I donated another 20 bucks for "Torment:Tides of Numenara" (if you don't know it, you should definitely look into it).
Since DA:O I always wished to enter the Black City and get an explanation for the Blight. But now I think I don't want to know. The chances are high that I would just meet Starchild disguised as the Maker, giving me some really dumb explanations....

I actually enjoyed reading many of the well-written critiques and suggestions for improvements. Unfortunately the ostriches on the receiving side just stuck their head in sand and celebrated their new "masterpiece".

Im the one too expecting that all the Warden stories would come back. Its a shame,

I will say this, Bioware is a master storyteller.

Bioware (EA) was a master storyteller.

I know I have been vocal about the PC issues, but I also have been complementive to the storytellers. I understand it's extremely tough to keep allowing stories to branch off the main plot without affecting the flow of the story. The writers at Bioware (now and then) have me fully engaged. Let me explain:

Origins is a masterpiece. It has everything that makes an RPG compelling. It has various choices in starting and then you have a complete array of companions that add to the beautiful tapestry that is laid out before you. In Dragon Age 2, the story is already written by the Hero of Ferelden and MOST of your choices are carried through that affect only the central plot. Hawke, to me, was a very cool protaganist and it introduced us to Varric. The writers took us through the mage rebellion and what caused it. We stood witness to a revolution. In Dragon Age Inquisition: the story is still in progress. We get Hawke back and so I fully expect to see the Hero of Ferelden in DA4. The storytelling is there (at least for me), but the execution... well, that's being debated and IT ABSOLUTELY SCREWS with the story. The pacing feels all wrong, but the mood or the urgency is there. I just don't get that I have to freaking wait for Josie to deal with some noble for three hours of real time when I need her to send a delegation to cool down some mages I made mad. I acknowledge your frustration and anger. On a side note, Awakenings... good story, horrible execution. The Architect and the Mother brought a new frightening level to the Darkspawn threat. Inquisition, the Darkspawn are ghouls? Again, it's execution.

Sad really, as by complaining about the patches EA is just going to overwork their existing staff even more past their breaking point instead of investing in more resources on QA and support. At the same time boycotting EA will just end up with these guys losing their jobs. However, it is their choice in the end working for a company with such horrendous business practices, marketing the game for PC, then releasing a console port, giving fans the silent treatment, and then launching DLCs as Xbox exclusives as another shaft to those they conned for cash.

As for the writers, actors and artists - I only wish there was a way to send money straight into their pockets instead of feeding the company that exploits them and the fans that follow them. However the only way is if they leave. And if they ever leave, as some have done, and launch their own indie such as the Banner Saga - they should know myself and others will be behind them. As despite the disappointment with the console port but mostly the marketing lies and complete disrespect to paying customers lying to us through their teeth... underneath all that BS I enjoyed the plot twists, the characters, the amazing environments, and the great lore and world they have built.

To the writers, actors and artists - from an old fan: You guys deserve better than EA.

Like dude who made video ( few posts above ) I enjoyed new DA Multiplayer much more than Single. At first I played single for about 10 hours but then I played my first match in multi..and it was GREAT! First impression was stunning. The best multiplayer fantasy ever. You can play with friends and try new builds..get achivments etc etc but after some time when me and my friend realised that BioWare is doing nothing with sea of bugs in game and even..make it worse ( patch 3 ) our frustration reached final level. BioWare now is Wasting posibility to create huge multiplayer community by [ like I wrote before ] destroying game module that could sell even more copies of Dragon Age: Inquisition. It's like you could give 100$ bill to hobo and watch him use it like a toilet paper... Just look at facebook Mass Effect 3: Multiplayer Community - poeple still playing this! A Lot of poeple still playing this ( including me ). After new patch and new bugs I installed ME3 and now Im enjoying this and waiting...

My impression is that Multiplayer was done by some poeple and after that other group was assigned to it and now they are screwing it up.

I will play Multiplayer cos I still have blind hope in this company...but Im sure that they already lost a Lot of poeple.

[sorry for my bad english] :]

Bioware needs a thoughtful, PC-passionate person in HR. Instead I am seeing actual employees recommending finding other hobbies and not buying EA products. Yeah... Let that sink in.

She's saying we're not important except our wallets are to the big heads at EA. So, why bother?

Bioware: Get some PR help. GOTY will seem like a distant memory when the red numbers start appearing on EA's spreadsheets.

What? Who is "she" and where did she say customers were not important and are you sure "she" works for EA?
