Also interesting to note that the only real info we get from Amelia is that MP will be getting better. Ohhhh, the one source of after purchase revenue has great things planned... since you already have your money from the initial purchase of the broken game why bother making it better, right?

No editing here, just frustration at the clear priorities the studio has now.

Unfortunately I can't even claim that this will cause me to not buy ME4 as my tiny vengeance for all this. ME3 already guaranteed I won't be bothering with any other title from BioWare... except DA:I. See, the first two DA's I liked enough that I thought "Well, at least the Dragon Age team doesn't **** it up." Sure, the 2nd had those terrible recycled maps... but unlike many that was the only thing I didn't like about it. I viewed DA:I as BioWare's salvation.

At this point I just want my game fixed so I can finish it and get some closure on this. Hopefully HBC keeps churning out quality Shadowrun games and some other studio sees the opportunity in winning over the market from BioWare. I'd love to see what actual PC gamers that love RPG's and make RPG's for PC can do for real.

Witcher 3... I can't wait.

The Witcher 3 release will be buggy as previous games of TW setting. However, CDPR known as its quick reactions. I pre-ordered it knowing that fact. So maybe I install it on the release but won't play around a week. I just hope we won't see another mess on a widely expected RPG.

Witcher 3 is DRM free, although I enjoyed TW2 I don't have much interest in the lore/world/characters as much as Dragon Age (also why I'm saddened to have to let the writers/artists/actors/actresses go). Still, I pre-ordered even though I may not even play the game, as they support the direction where I want the industry to go.

For me when it comes to closure with Dragon Age, the new version of GreenTea's mouse look/mouse button rebinding mod will soon be released and I plan my goodbye run using it. After that, I'll look forward to other titles by devs who support a consumer friendly industry, and as I'm still happy with the writers/actors/artists work, if they choose to leave EA and create an indie title of their own - like some have with The Banner Saga, I'll definitely give it my attention.

Supporting EA with our money is only encouraging these practices to continue.

i pre ordered tw3 as soon as it was available, and will be all over the beta too once they ship it. In my eyes they can do no wrong, yes TW and TW2 were buggy to begin with but the devs are sharp and on the ball to fix things.

I put the first two Witcher games on my wishlist because of all the recommendations it's getting from you guys.  Never played them before.  I guess I'll have to lock the kids out, though.

I think it's wiser to detach the PR/marketing guys from the grunts (ie: developers). Worker bees are just that worker bees. Launch decision (game ready or not) is made by EA Exec(s).

I honestly cannot blame the developers for an unfinished product....nor for design choices/cuts...when Mohammed comes down from the mountain, grunts do as their told.

Toxicity in the forum is a result of emotional outbursts and quite a few trolltype posts... these I've notice quite a few.

Pax East (I think) is coming up in March and I'm waiting for the ME4 forum to open up... I will be making my views pn PR BS known well in advance of ME4 game launch...

Its all true, Suits are the ones to blame like Laidlaw, but PR is trained and earn their money to defuse situations. If you are doing PR you job is to make things go smooth as possible, not to drop gasoline into flames.

If only they could bother answering a few simple questions, it would calm down a lot of people:

- Who's the idiot who came up with the current PC UI and controls and why everyone thought it was acceptable to roll with it?

- Do you plan on implementing ANY changes to the current UI? (yes or no, simple question).

- Are we going to get an acceptable tac cam at some point (further zoom out, mouse controls, no second cursor, a free camera which is not being blocked by ceilings)?

- What the heck happened to those NPCs, doors, trees etc... why are they running at 30 fps?

- You knew about us wanting a storage chest, where is it?

- What happend to tactics, why have you dumbed them down so much?

- What are the current fixes being (or attempted to be) worked on? (i really don't get all the secrecy)

- Any time frame for the next big patch?

- Are you currently working on a DLC? (i don't care which one, but you'd better drop it and fix the damn game first)

- Why the heck are you so secretive?

I know, i can allways dream, the answer would probably be the same as the last time: "We're currently smurfing smurfs and i'll smurf back to you as smurf as grand smurf allows me to".

That much sums. If they come clean and at least state: " hey, there are those and those problems with UI and mechanics on PC and these are the ones we will try to fix" would be good. No one need to be nominated, we just need to know if there is any hope instead of expecting if anything will be done.

I remember CA took a long time into patch after patch, with all flame hatred on Rome2. They usually didnt disclose what exactly would be on next patch, but they more or less had a roadmap like "we are working on Battle AI. We are working on Siege AI."

The game is less than we expected, but its functional and enjoyable now.

Just fix the ****** game. Clearly Q1 2015 is still "development cycle" for this game as your Christmas 2014 release target was forced on an incomplete version of the game. So finish the game and roll out the necessary patches.

Unfortunally no, because there is just a skeleton crew remaining. The rest is on Mass crap 4.

I agree with you. They pushed the release second time but the reports say the game is finished and until the release day; it's bug fixing and polishing. Good news indeed. Now if we can get our DAI on track, it would be great.

the question here is.....why? why not wait till the game is out and you can see if there are problems or not? i mean you will play it a week after release anyway. preorders are the reason why games became what they are. you ask to be burned (again). its so unnecessary

and yeah maybe cdpr is a good company, bioware was too.

Because the development cycle for Patch 3 fell over the holiday period, our priority focus for this patch were items that blocked progress (like key drop or Dorian's quest) and other bug fixes. It's important for us that our devs have time at the holidays to spend with their loved ones and families, and after a long production cycle, this was some well deserved time off.
We are still working on future items and improvements for later patches based on the feedback we have received here and elsewhere. I can't give you any specifics as of yet, but as Scylla said, improving PC mouse and keyboard controls is still a priority for us. The fact that we weren't able to get it into patch 3 doesn't change that priority, as not at bugs and features are created (or solved) equal.
I can't provide further updates until after Patch 3 is out, but I will give more info once it's possible to do so.

They are not the same with any other company around. I would like to pay full price as my kind of reward for a developer like that.

For me, it's no DRM mate, hard not to throw money behind that idea. As I mentioned I'm not really invested in the game itself.

Besides pre-ordering by itself is not bad depending on the developer, indies for instance give you alpha/betas so it's completely transparent. Not to mention opportunities to influence the development of the game. Seen it since Mount and Blade, a game that I have 1000+ hours on, a game that I supported while it was on beta stage, in which I am so proud of them.

but you could still pay the full price after knowing the game is good and not just expecting it ;) it doesnt matter if a developer is "trustworthy", they all underlie the rules of business....making money. things can go horrible wrong while development and at the end of money there is a release, no matter what. and would any developer admit they missed the promised goals? no they would still advertise it because its a matter of existence.

Their background -even if it's limited- shows that they can deliver what's been promised, it's a good indication in my opinion. I agree with your ideas about pre-ordering and shared my thoughts on that subject in this thread before: how pre-order numbers causing the devs to become cocky. If CDPR can not deliver, well, they also have a big steampunk game coming and I won't buy it.

bioware was once, but i haven't trusted them since SWTOR, as for the other two both are indi devs and will suffer similar fates as the rest, quick love and slow deaths.

Nvidia 347:25 driver just landed, update at your pleasure..

As a heads up:

Open Issues in Version 347.25

As with every released driver, version 347.25 of the Release 346 driver has open issues and enhancement requests associated with it. This section includes lists of issues that are either not fixed or not implemented in this version. Some problems listed may not have been thoroughly investigated and, in fact, may not be NVIDIA issues. Others may have workaround solutions.

17, 15, & 13 - they hear it all on the bus, but eh.  I can still be overprotective of their eyes even when they sneak around behind my back.

As a heads up:

Wasn't that issue noted in the last release as well?

I think that's the general stuttering that really picked up after Patch 2 for some people and not something new to this driver release. (Mark said recently that they're still investigating and don't have any information to share, and apparently NVidia doesn't either.)
