I'm relaxed, and so accepting of what is to become.  Why do I give 20 hoots?  Why did I give 70 dollars?  Are they equal?  I'm noticing incongruities in a game that hasn't lived up to what MILLIONS have thought it would be....?  If I complain about specific issues, then I need to relax.  Maybe.  Maybe the relaxed need to be more angry.

But I'm not sure what the issue actually is?

Complaining about a broken game is one thing, but I'm not entirely sure how it correlates to some entirely other part of the game.

Well met, Helmetto.- It is a crying shame that anybody gets disabled, but would you play a disabled Inquisitor?  I might, but I'd have to turn the (difficulty) level down waaay low

If you're actually interested?  PC controls/UI are the main concern. Or did you show up on the wrong thread?

A B. Cornwell fan...well met.

Did you notice how BW pillaged was inspired by the sword and shield techniques, among other things, described in his Warlord and Saxon Chronicles series?

We're a demanding bunch.  PC Gamers....I get that, but what I didn't expect was this POS console game.  I'm still amazed.

Hey, bottomline is that this was once a great franchise.  I still enjoy Dragon Age Origins, to this day.  It has replayability.  That's like Wessonality....for those Florence Henderson fans.  I realize that I'm reaching just a few people now, but don't kill off your core fans for the lure of a fickle young fanbase.  Why sell your soul to the console people?  Why?  Have you REALLY crunched the numbers?  I don't think that you get it.

Younger people get older.  Let's not make them stupider.  That very prophetical movie Idiocracy was just a social commentary on what is happening now and it's obvious wherever you go, but just on this website and during Bioware games.

So, Bioware?  Do you think that this was a good idea?  Developing for a console first?  The half-a$$ing it to the PC?  Did you really think that this was going to fly?  Really?

Helmetto isn't sure what the actual issue is.  That's rich.  Maybe "helmetto" can't fathom what problems I have with this game?  Maybe I should recant them again and again ad nauseam.  Just for you?  No.  Read back.  Your laziness isn't my obligation.  READ.

So, haven't been following for awhile. I saw somewhere there was a third patch, but no fix to make PC controls intuitive? What is the consensus, six months for better controls or is it a pipe dream?

Nope I disagree even t2 with tier 3 material (very easy to get) trump almost all unique items (except two-handed elven sword and such, really bestial lv20 unique items). Same with T1 schem/T2 materials. Crafting is RIDICULOUSLY OP

That's not my experience. I have a L17 party running around with a mix of crafted and found/bought items. The only exception is armour, which is virtually 100% better crafted than any other source right from the start of the game.

And how is this OP exactly? Compared to what?

Is the inventory scrolling "system" the same?  If so?  Then NOT interested.  Can you auto-attack finally?  How is pausing the game?  What happens?  Can you pan out and see your party members?  Can you actually point and click on things in game?  Can we actually go back to what worked before?  You know, before Boooware decided that we all had consoles in our living room.

You mean, NextGen consoles. I have PS3 and prefer PC for my RPG. But graphics of the PS3 version are barely 720 and soapy as hell.

AFAIK, the only thing changed in the last patch is that you can now remap SOME buttons and there's a (glitching for some people) walk toggle. They also fixed the camera jumping in tac mode, but, again, that's a solution of a tiny bit of a problem.

Then that's NOT a solution to my problems.  I'm back to Divinity: Original Sin....I can't replay Origins again....i'm probably on a dozen times now.  I seriously had high hopes for this game.  What a waste.

And how is this OP exactly? Compared to what?

1. No level restrictions.

2. Mostly better than even rare and unique loot tier to tier.

3. Can be custom made to better fit users wants and needs and tailored to specific fights.

4. Allows a single player to solo the game with almost any specialization on the hardest difficulty with relative ease.

DA:I is a loot centric game to the extreme. Almost all the damage done is decided by items as opposed to personal attributes or skills. The imbalanced crafting exacerbate that fact. Would have loved to see changes to limit the overpower, but at this point I'll settle for simple bug fixing.

to the overall difficulty of the game, or lack thereof.

What are you blathering about? Emotional investment in a tool makes no sense.

If controls were required for this game, they should have stated it, or at least, made a "bundle sale", controller+crap game.

Hey, FOE, relax.

I don't understand why anybody really gives 20 hoots about the political/social agenda of whatever. That falls on the writing department, not the programming. They don't do the same jobs (usually) and if that's what the writing department went for then, well, good for them. I'm more than willing to criticize the writing department for bad writing, but the social justice aspect is fairly insignificant to the story that I don't honestly pay much attention to it. Why should I? I'm not looking at Dragon Age to learn how gay people are oppressed and blah blah blah social justice blah blah blah.

Seriously, it's a crying shame that Dragon Age doesn't offer a whole lot of support to the disabled community. But your logic is to complain about how a department who doesn't handle gameplay support handles Social Justice?

Some logic there.

Its a problem, because it show where resources are being put. To write LGTBXYZ and whatever they call, its not just writing. You need "special consultants" among these loud communities to endorse and make it sure its poltical correct enough. It need a kind of Anita Sakessian seal of approval.

The time and resources put on Political correctness vs resources put into controls gives an idea of how fucked management is. Control and interface should be fundamental.

It seen that the difficult levels arent not dictated by how smart ui are, but how much you can actually play on a broken interface. On easy the game is played as it should, ie, a showcase of political correctness. Games dont need to be fun, their main duty now is to pull a agenda.

Seriously? This is where you think the resource allocation problem is apparent? Before we start pointing fingers at the (imo perfectly legitimate) expense of creating a LGBT inclusive game, how about we cast a sideways glance at the clearly HUGE amount of $$ spent on marketing.

You know the massive campaign of lies that led us all to believe we were buying an awesome RPG with 'great looking elves' (that one 's for you Lord Surinen) that was made for PC by PC gamers. Because I'm thinking that a whole lot of that money might have been better spent making their lies into truth...
