and what information you have on their "efforts"?
instead, we can actually check the facts....they have released 4 patches so far; and NONE of them address any single issue posted here(~500 pages)..
now, they did add the "walk" ability; but, how much effort you think they put there when the "hacking" community had already come with a fix that will ALSO make your char to jog?.....
now, do I think "Bioware Sucks"? nope, they are actually pretty smart; instead of going for the acclaiming awards and recognition, they went for the money, which has the ability to buy the previous two....

Information? What about the fixes? They are working on it. I don't need to prove anything when the facts does the job for me. At least you guys are getting the patches earlier, we have four so far, and there will be more. You can go all hatin' on them, but you can't say that they are ignoring everything like most companies does. No wonder why we rarely see a Bioware employee talking with us, some of you guys has this gift of instantly jumping with a knife at their throats.

Have a good night (or day).

 Snip

-------

After three years and hundreds of hours of play testing (and this was just you) ... how is it that all these problems were foisted off on us?

There is indeed quite a bit done well in DA:I (imo) but it is buried under so much that is just plain wrong ...

On Testing

I believe the "...hundreds of hours of play.." were done on the consoles to ensure console game certification.

And, even though he "..prefers the PC..", an inconvenient fact, that no one at BIO ever mentions, is the reason for the decision to dump, out of the window, proven PC UI,  KB&M controls, auto-attack, proper tac-cam, chests, proper inventory management, weapon selection during combat..... etc... etc...

"..these problems were foisted.."

The reason for the new design choices is the crux of the matter. Yes, BIO reps can honestly say they played in total "thousands of hours testing DAI on the  PC ." So what? These hours were used to test the "new and improved UI, KB&M, no chests, 8 slot, brain dead AI...etc...etc...".... truthfully, BIO can say the game works as designed.  We, were expecting an orange, but they were preparing and testing a lemon. and the lemon passed mustard (sorry couldn't resist).

However, I don't blame the worker bees... never have. And, I acknowledge their dedication and 50+ hour work weeks to get the game ready for launch.

Big Snip

______

DA:I did do something right, for the most part.  The companion stories are intriguing and I will be playing through each one.  BUT, I will also be skipping most of the game in the process.  I'm just hitting what I need to move that particular companions story along and ignoring most of the rest.  Once I've cycled through them all, then DA:I comes off the computer for good.

As I understand it, the dialogues change little, no matter what class quizzie you generate.

Apparently they didn't play enough hours because not only is the UI, controls and and all that stuff terrible, as Sartoz notes, BUT they also have needed 4 patches in less than 3 months with more on the way.

that's pathetic in every way, shape and form for a AAA title from a major developer and publisher.....

EA is the devil, and Bioware has sold their soul.

Our time together was good, but all good things must come to an end.....

Good night (or day) to you sir or madam. The PC group is not lucky for getting patches sooner and that's a fact. You need not traverse this entire thread to glean why or view endless amounts of feedback in the appropriate forum subsection. You're welcome to whatever bugs are ironed out as a result of the latest patch breaking something before they reach you.

"No wonder why we rarely see Bioware... etc." How has this trope not run its course? The post doesn't engender itself to positivity in this thread if you've been following along. It knowingly or, for the benefit of a doubt, unknowingly brushes aside the attention for pertinent information which is what Errationatus and others spoke about at length. The last "real" post about what I personally have been clamoring for was by Conal Pierce on the 19th of January and the hubbub was much less. Being caricatured as a knife wielding cutthroat is new though so credit where credit is due.

So what do you know about PC issues? You are playing on Shitstation of Fuckbox. Or you enjoyed playing the game which was instended for console playing as a console gamer and your lowered expectations of an rpg and the perfect control with a controller makes you say there is no problem on PC? Come on, gtfo.

And no, for a 10000. time. There is no any information they will ever fix the controls how they should be in a pc game. Simply because they wont. The fix is manual and its called uninstall.

You don't need to buy a controller, I've seen people that enjoys the controls, so you're not everyone, even if a large chunk of the PC fanbase complains about it.

:) Its like Angry Joe saying: What, PC? controls are... fans saying not that good... OK, i lower my rating by 1 without knowing ***** because i didnt really played it on pc.

Please do not try to avoid profanity filter. Thread has been edited. Mod02

Okay, this was some weird stuff, but okay. Why not? I'm still waiting for patch 3, the PC version is already on the fourth one, that's not a bad thing for solely PC Gamers at all.

Why can't I adventure here? I came to see the feedback of the recent patches since I didn't got them yet.

And if that isn't enough, I have an untouched copy of DAI for my outdated computer. Like I mentioned before, the first two games were firstly played on the PC, for me, before consoles became my main platform, not meaning that I don't use my computer again, mods are thing.

1) I didn't lowered my expectations.
2) It still is a RPG.
3) I didn't said that there wasn't a problem.
4) You can uninstall your game, nobody is stopping you.
5) Take a chill pill.

And lastly,

6) Stop being a whiny fanboy, I'm not here for a pissing off contest with anyone.

I'm honestly sorry to hear you do not have Patch 3 yet. I recall seeing tweets about it. If you're interested solely in the latest patch notes though I would recommend this mislabeled blog.

Why can't you adventure here? Good question. Overruled. I'm just joking. It probably rests in the same reasoning that I do not post in the multiplayer forum. As I do not use it, my input would seem out of place or misrepresentative.

You bought two copies!? Aww man... You know what, you're allowed to stay. You got screwed too.

Face it! It's not getting fixed. They do not have the inclination to fix this broken game. To change anything would be an admission that they screwed up. That 8 slots was a mistake, that removing tactics was a mistake, that changing weapons in combat was a mistake.

They have stonewalled from the beginning. Alan's comments have verified this for me. He supports Laidlaw and Darrah in their direction.

There will not be a patch that changes the UI, autoattack, toolbar slots. They cannot admit it as it would make the ~500 pages in this forum correct!

Yeah, I know about some stuff, was just interested in hearing the feedback, that's it.

Huh, okay.

Maybe :P I just have to upgrade my computer, at the time, it was becoming too expensive to maintain it, and some of my favorites games optimization was bad, less bad than now. I'm mostly looking forward to the mods and to finally play the MP with some friends that are PC gamers as well.

Cheers.

I totally understand this game is the game of the games on consoles. It has everything a console game needs to have. If i bought this one for console id have my 200 hours of awesome 4 button mashing fun without worrying about bascially any RPG stuff. Nice shiny scenery for the new gens. Selling this same stuff as a sophisticated PC RPG specifically designed for pc... Now you dont know about this last part since you have never played this piece of trash on pc with mouse and keyboard and most likely never played mmorpg-s so you dont know why a lot of players feel bad because of the ridiculous content in this new open world not intended for modding skyrim wannabe. So should i go to a console concerns thread and tell them how cool things are because i played on pc and it felt awesome?

constructive feedback for the devs: click to move would be nice. :D i know :D you wont do ****, just mentioning it for the record.

Thank you for clarifying that Allan.

Three years and hundreds of hours ...

THIS makes it all the more baffling to me how some aspects of DA:I could have in any way been thought acceptable.

Especially when compared to DA:O and DA:2, and I can't believe I'm using DA:2 as a "good" example.

Tac-cam?

Tactics?

Mouse and keyboard?

Walk toggle?

Banter bug?

CTD's and assorted crashes?

Stuttering?

SLI fog?

etc.

etc.

After three years and hundreds of hours of play testing (and this was just you) ... how is it that all these problems were foisted off on us?

There is indeed quite a bit done well in DA:I (imo) but it is buried under so much that is just plain wrong ...

Because he played it with a controller on PC, of course. No KB&M. But he wouldn't mention that, would he?

The other problems like CTDs and SLI was potentially not experienced, because they were in cahoots with AMD and sure as hell didn't have Nividia hardware in their PCs.

As for Tac cam, they seem inexplicably happy with it, which is baffling because I don't even touch it where I used it to death in DAO (like so many others).

And to then say "oh it's so unfortunate that some people don't like the game" indicates a complete lack of understanding on his part and likely the rest of the dev team.

I find that quite unbelievable after the problems with this game have been echoed over and over by so many people.

Allan actually posted on THIS thread? This is like a beam of sunlight coming through the dark clouds.

Thanks Allan, but you do know, many in this thread simply just want answers - like what's being worked on/what's not being worked on? They just want informed decisions, besides the modding community would appreciate a headsup as well so not to double the work.

This is actually an important issue that should really be addressed by Bioware.  Maybe they can't tell us exactly what they're working on because they aren't certain they will be able to necessarily make it work .... but they could at least tell us the things they have decided NOT to even try to work on.  Based on the many comments on this thread (and others for that matter), they should know what the PC community considers important and be able to communicate at least this with us.

As I've stated many times before....I'm a mouse player.  This whole idea of needing to use the keyboard only for movement in DAI after DAO and DA2 is NOT ok with me.  It was not disclosed before I purchased the game and as a major game play difference from DAO and DA2 it should have been.  And I can assure you, I would not have bought the game if I knew this was the case.  (Nor will I ever pre-order a game again)  With each update I keep hoping this will be addressed, as I know I'm not the only one on this forum who has brought up this issue.  But if it's been decided that this issue is never going to be addressed, I'd like to know so I can stop wasting my time waiting to be able to play this game (which, I'd really like to be able to play!).

Have 530+ hrs with Tac-Cam and KB&M thus far with little trouble. No .gif required....

And people with such low standards as yours are the main reason why devs think they can get away with an unfinished product based on lies....

Fair enough. Well I guess if the devs can't find anything wrong with their "perfect game" then I guess it is a hopeless case.
