I was too, up until DA2.  Then I started to question.  Then SWTOR, which I still play BTW, but when it came out, it was a steaming pile of merde(It is pretty good now.)  Then MA3, it was a good game, but the ending left me dumbstruck.  They regained a little bit of traction with me with the Citadel DLC.  Well worth it, and the quality that I expect from BioWare.  Then this steaming pile of horsetookey.  After DA3?  They became BozoWare as far as I am concerned.  I am HOPING that they fix it, but I also and well aware of the old saying about crapping in one hand and wishing in the other... SO...  This is the last title from them I am likely to purchase before MUCH research, and certainly not as a preorder.

And DA2, SWTOR, and DAI are all great games for me; all pre-orders, too. The only other title I have pre-ordered was Skyrim; another game I have a great deal of time invested. Also agree with Citadel DLC; the best part of many re-plays for myself.

But I also do research before purchase; reason ME3 itself was not on that list. It wasn't until some others gave me insights into the dialogue and gameplay that allowed me to finally purchase it.

While I have some minor issues with DAI, those have been logged. Now I simply enjoy playing, and look forward to more campaigns.

Well then, obviously you're a terrible person and probably a paid shill. It's simply impossible for people's reactions to something to vary.

THAT IS ME AS WELL! Except I won't call Bioware names (even though, at this point, it's well deserved), but I refuse to believe that the developers are the type to not address 'PC Community Concerns.' Call me gullible or naive. Actually, I am gullible and naive. My fourth preorder failure to launch and this took two patches to get the game running like it should have at launch. Patch 3, broke it again. We get about three posts from developers and we're left in this "wait and see" mode. Did I say I was gullible?

No, no, no...  psssst!

C'mere, while she h'aint lookin'...  listen kids, maybe Elhanan is right.  No, no, bear with me here.  Maybe she is.

We can't match the sheer perfection she exudes with every post, nor the unprecedented clarity with which she sees and knows all.  She's even sussed out how many of us are just disgruntled liars and EA-hatin' malcontents (that smell of anime-fueled farts and stale brony soda gives it away) with no actual issues.

We have to accept that few mortals - and certainly none of the smelly unwashed fedora-wearing knuckle-draggers in this thread - can match such peerlessnessness and overarching intellectual insight.  I mean, she pretty much tells us that every time she deigns to post.

Can't you feel the benevolence that flows just from her presence down in the sewer among us?  It's like being able to afford maybe ..two! extra! cans of sterno for our boxes all at once!

I hate to say it, but fighting it is just...  i dunno.  Look, I think all we can do now is...  yeah.  All we can do now is STOP.  That's right.  There's nothing wrong with our copies of DA:I.  The game is not inadequate for us, WE are inadequate for this game.  US.  With our inadequacies.  This game are is inadequate for it us/we be.

We need to offer devoted slop-tonguey praise to our EA overlords, that's all.  It's all we can do.

"You'll pay and you'll slog and you'll STFU and you'll like it!" as EA's motto reminds us. Look you to our Superior thus:  this is obviously the winning strategy utilized to experience her peerless parleys of paragonic 835000 hours of absolute trouble-free (and no doubt astonishing) play and fantastically erudite virtue what with her sentence-putting together expertise.  She do talked good.  We all gots ta listen.  We be humble and acknowledge her am obvious superness to us'n.

Get this through your heads:

None of our concerns are legit in the face of ONE PERSON NOT HAVING ANY PROBLEMS.  This existential perfection that exists for Elhanan is thus true for all.  As above, so below, don't'cha know.

THERE'S NOTHING WRONG.  How many times does she and "Bioware" have to tell us?

THERE'S NOTHING WRONG.  Repeat it, fellow ingrates, repeat it and live it.  Ye shall be cleansed.

NOTHING.

WRONG.

Absolute masterpiece! I salute you!

Think im over the specs.......and i had trouble from the start, even till now.

After all these patches nothing is fixed.....

I hear you. I wish I could help, but apparently Bioware doesn't have the code monkeys in place to fix it for PCs. There is nothing more frustrating than having an "over-specced" PC to run these games only for it fail. I do my due diligence though. I'm self-taught A+ certified, but you can forget it when it comes to programming. I follow the recommendations set forth by EA, Origins and Bioware. When that doesn't work, I check to see if there are notices or statements regarding the game against particular hardware I have installed. There isn't a damn thing. Inquisition is in BETA for PCs. That's my conclusion. It may be wrong, but damn if history isn't on my side on this one.

Right. I am starting to feel like DOJA did a while back. Also, a BIG F-U to all the critics who didn't test this on PCs using KB+M. A big F-U. Trust is measured in dollar bills these days and now I mistrust you.

Tis indeed a shame when an opinion is deprecated. Controls are fine for me. What are you doing wrong? Game runs fine for me. What are you doing wrong? Banter works for me. What are you doing wrong? See you again in five pages to satire more unsavory glossing. :)

Lol, so true re: critics.  Not sure it would matter if they used KB+M anyway, there are pretty shiny things in here.

I'm not sure if this helps, and it probably will ire a gamer that upgraded or purchased a new rig just for this POS game, BUT I've found that older systems/graphic cards fare better than newer ones, BECAUSE of Booware's attention to legacy consoles.  I shhhhhh...crap ypu not.  That's what I've noticed on three systems and a console and what people here have witnessed/articulated.

The controls are fine for me. However, the rest seems to be taken from mistranslated head canon from others. I do hope that your problems get some attention soon, as well as my own minor issues.

As for my opinion, it is not worth any more than any other, but it is not worth less. Simply move me to Ignore lists if my posts bother your sensibilities; have done the same.

Forgive the implicitness of my words. I was not pointing at you. I was pointing at BioWare. Captain's statement though satirically, coincides with the exact treatment we've been handed. The irony is palpable from my standpoint.

I don't ignore anyone. In my opinion it's a terrible practice regardless of content.

Thanks for the kind thought.

And I was not speaking directly at yourself in the latter part; simply one of the few posters left here that I care to openly read. Apologies for any confusion. Also, the Ignore function still allows one to read any post if one desires, and is highly preferred to responding in a manner that may violate forum rules.

Elhanan, I haven't been following this thread as much lately but there have been several fanboys as of late "complaining about the complainers" which I also find very aggravating especially when the suggestions discussed either add/fix/add more options for universal enjoyment without compromising on other's gameplay experience.

Be aware that your posts may have come across as one of them, and I hope you'll be able to see this from the perspective of those who are having issues with the PC version of DAI - myself included. When you invalidate other's concerns (which have nothing to do with yours) of course it's natural that yours will be invalidated in return.

Personally my main issue lies in "Bioware"'s silence and fan/dev disconnect however, rather than the issues themselves. I don't see "forum is toxic" as an excuse as I'm a member of forums with MUCH MORE vocal customers yet with very timely, honest, transparent, respectful and accountable posts by developers. Bioware - as in the Bioware I'm still loyal to, understood this in years past. "Bioware" now, seems to be struggling with it.

And also be aware that posts that simply dismiss those of the other opinion may be somewhat rankled. In such a conflicted forum, I do not expect many Devs to join, at least currently. But they are reading the feedback; was confirmed last week in some interview I saw.

I have (had, meh, and probably will have) problems with the "actual game". So nothing changes. Was just thinking "Some days ago i was trying to help people with the same problems that i have, looking for answers, feedback... Is actually anoying." Some EA god looked at me and said "You don´t need to do all this things to get rid of the problems you are having, there´s an easier way to do that. YOU DON´T PLAY THE ****** GAME. NOW STOP WHINING AND GO TO YOUR CORNER."

Yeah, EA is the good shepherd.

Ok, back to earth, yeah FOE, i guess it had to do with that. Is really hard to understand how the DRM works? For real, i have no idea how that **** works, is like hidden magic for me (YA IMMA N IGNORANT PEASANT)

DRM

EA is responsible for DRM checking... meaning EA checks to see if your game is properly activated. By this I mean that the server runs a routine that verifies the info it has about your account and your game(s), the date and time it was activated, probably also a hardware ID vs what the game is sending to them.  Uninstalling the game can remove your local "game ID information", which, for obvious reasons, won't match what's on file.

For example:

In my case I had to upgrade my system to run DAI. This meant changing my motherboard and CPU. What happened?  Windows 7 no longer recognized my PC and I had to activate the OS again.

Hope this helped.

I agree. I had to downgrade my specs since my brother took his stuff (AMD FX 9590+some cool motheroboard+8gb ram+r9 290x) and left me hes old things (AMD FX 6300, 4 GB ram, Xtx HD7750). I played the game in both before changing the cool motherboard for an ASRock-who-knows-what (thing that led me to the problem of be unable to open the game) and if i remember correctly, my first playthrough was a charm, had less crashes the times i´ve played on the low specs one, consistent banter, etc. When i changed to my brothers pc (second PT, things started to go bad, unsteadiness everywhere (still playable tho). My third PT on the same high specs pc, even worst. Then my brother took his **** with him, i changed the MB cause i had none, installed the old specs things, tried to open the game and well, that ****. When dl is done i´ll say if gives more or less or the same problems that the high specs pc gave me.

Not sharp enough, FOE. I have some love for you tho, even when you speak without knowing about the subject. Now you understand why i have a new rig for this POS game?

Hah... I can't do that. If I go so far to avoid contention for the sake of coloring my words more pallidly I've missed a great deal of context. If you speak from the heart and the head your words have a lot more weight I think. Admittedly I don't espouse that ideal very well. This is quickly growing into an odd conversation I think.

AGREED! ORIGIN and EA customer service are awesome. Now only if they could get those guys to do the same at Bioware. This page wouldn't even exist if they had the level of customer care that they do at Origin.

I usually go here: http://www.reddit.co...age Inquisition

for my daily fix. ;)

Was about to say the same. Yeah, we are all here complaining, but cause we want an improvement from the company and we try to help each other in the meantime- Like i said in some other post, if this forum is toxic, go check some MOBA or competitive game forum. Is Chernobyl.

It is something that helped on the SWTOR forums a great deal; a much harsher environ than this. And I can open any post to try and gain context, or simply skip and read others.

As for taunting and the like, I have encountered professionals, and the worst I was called was 'Trainee'. These are not worth much, and certainly not worthy of a reply, IMO.

Good gaming!
