Not sure if it's been posted yet, but Bioware has apparently cancelled Shadow Realms, its new online RPG, so they can focus on figuring out how to get native mouse button mapping working in Dragon Age Inquisition.

Well, well... pulled to new project(s) including DAI enhancements. ... think DLC

The one mod that made DAI playable for me was the inventory size! It was only when I had a good inventory that I realised how much i was filtering. Can I pick that up or do I toss it? Now I just grab without thinking. Filter it out back in Skyhold. It also means I save 2 Inquisition Perks!! haha

Yes, the CE did make my play better.....

Problem is when EA forces a new patch on you and the CE tables no longer work..... so make sure you avoid update(s) as long as possuble.

Well tbh guys i think that fixing those controls for pc wont make the game much better, it will only redirect your attention to other stuff like a very weak ending, mmo'ish like side quests, no real choices, allmost no replay value, a pre alpha multiplayer mode etc..

I'm less than even a casual gamer. DAI is the first AAA game I bought for full price in over 2 years and probably only the 4th or 5th ever. (and I got my first PC in 1984) None of the other things you mention will really bother me at all. I will never play MP. I will most likely never play through more than once (unless overhul mods appear). I am happy with the illusion of choice as I realize that a truly branching story would be impossible to script - eventually all roads must lead back to the same plot points. The pointlessness of quests might get to me, but if I can fight normally and look at pretty scenery along the way, I might not even mind those so much. I really do just want real PC controls & UI to be happy

Haha! It's gooooone from my game so I shall never mention it again. And how delightful Cole is to have in my party!

Actually, now that I have banter (and assorted other goodies- all hail the mighty modders) I'm actually enjoying the game as the game (in spite of the awful combat and being forced to use a controller). I wish I hadn't spent nearly 12 weeks building a bitter resentfulness toward its broken state because if the damned thing had worked as intended from the get go I might have been able to overlook the shortcomings and enjoy it. As it is I still just want to finish it and move on. At least now I think I might actually be able to do so I guess.

Besides all shortcomings i cant think myself using a controller. I made my peace with current controls, i cant really think of using a controller in front of a pc. Even dark souls i manage to use keyboard. The closest thing to a controller was a razer nostromo and i couldnt adapt too. I only used controller to play a 95' game of ww1 plane game, i dont even remember the name, but it was fun.

BTW what is this 'banter bug' everyone talks about?

A fair number of people have a bug which means that banter (companions talking to each other while out questing) either doesn't fire at all or rarely does, which means the entire game is played in silence (especially since, in some cases, it seems to be related to ambient music not playing, either).

People with this bug, therefore, miss out on a fair chunk of the game's interactions with their companions (there's about 6 hours' worth of recorded all up, so it's actually unlikely people will hear all the banter in a single game even if it's working), as well as some side stories (such as inter-companion romances beginning--there are 2 that only start if they go through a banter series first) not firing.

It also may affect at-Skyhold random banter between advisors via the people that are sometimes in their offices (Josie and Cullen, specifically) that give a bit more insight into their characters.

Spoiler

Understandably, this is annoying for those affected.

There's an entire thread about it in this section, if you're interested in reading more.

Aaaaand the BAFTA award nominees are......NOT Dragon Age:Inquisition! (OK, aside from Best Game, which they had to add to the list to populate it).

I guess Bioware failed to buy BAFTAS...oh well.

Why am I being such a jerk towards you, Bioware? So glad you asked!

It is because you promised me, a PC gamer, one thing, but delivered something inferior. But still, you were happy to take my money.

Still, you have not fixed the PC controls, the UI, or anything we've raised here as concerns.

So yeah, this is why I am not helping you polish your trophies. Because you treat your customers with disrespect and betray our loyalty.

On my rig, I had to set the settings to low with the new drivers after Patch 3. I don't know if it was Patch 3 or the new drivers, but my FPS would drastically drop for no reason. IE: I'm in combat, everything is flowing fine. Come out combat and look around and the FPS drops to 3-4. It then pops back when I go the character screen or inventory. Cutscenes would sometimes CTD and I really had some issues with loading times. I knew something was jacked when it took five minutes to load the Hinterlands. So, going back to the beta driver actually helped... after Patch 4. I'm afraid to change to the new drivers. I've got it working even though my others games are letting me know that there is a new driver available.

Run GPUz  to confirm your VRAM max usage while playing the game.

My graphics card stats look something like this:

Oh how I miss the ability to swap between bow and daggers during battle! Seriously, why would you cut that?

But, omg, retexture the eyes, increase inventory capacity, customize quivers, tweaks to companion/advisors face textures, CORYPHEUS GLOWING FACE LMFAO, normal conversation camera zoom, red head Sera, and on and on, damn, in a month Inquisition will be so big and so much stuff to add or do that will look like a diferent game.

I just pictured you grinning like a Cheshire cat.

If they filled the game with story DLC-s to compensate for the lackluster **** that open-world content is right now and the modders made it into a tactical rpg with click to move, tactics and everything that should have been basic and in the game from the start this game would be not bad but all right category. Now this is the best scenario. Anything less than this and this game is not worth the effort but even then it will not worth putting more money into it. FU bioware, you are not taking my money anymore, only my time wasted on this forum.

 I will never play MP.

--------

Never say never. :D

I was your mirror image until ME3's fiasco ending. Then BIO gave us a free ME3 MP. Fell in love with that style of MP play... simply because it was an extension of the KB+M controls and the familiar ME combat mechanics.... took me a while, but I finished many MP games against the AI players solo.... I mean it took me a while.  Also played with others... much fun...

ok, "never" is perhaps too... final. If they get the controls working, my wife & I could play MP together, if it's like D2 or Torchlight 2 kind of thing but with more RPGness to it. (we tried to MP Neverwinter Nights 2 but that was a disaster... and rather boring)

I play for fun. she's a min-maxer to the extreme. She could kick my ass in most cRPGs simply from squeezing out every possible DPS from every spent skill point. Fortunately, she much prefers to team up and take out AI controled baddies.

Yes, the CE did make my play better.....

Problem is when EA forces a new patch on you and the CE tables no longer work..... so make sure you avoid update(s) as long as possuble.

Can some one tell me please what CE is? I thought it meant collectors edition but my collector's edition doesn't say anything about inventory size so I figure I have the wrong definition for CE. I would love an inventory expansion fix if there is one out there beyond the War Table expansions.

It refers to Cheat Engine, which you can use to run scripts to make the game do cool things.

Considering the current table I am using has survived 2 patches (with the exception of the banter fix) I'd say that even if a patch requires an updated table, it will come within a day of the patch and, you can generally simply not use the "repaired" feature in CE until it is updated.

Sincé the last patch I was not  able to login to the game. I complained, "We know and are looking into the matter. Your opinión counts" Then I after a week, I could log in to Origin...........just in case I want to buy a new game. But I can't login to DAI server nor the Keep. So I can't play multiplayer or start a new game which is not default. Way to go, oh and I can't complain now cause I can't login there either.
