I´m falling for you Sartoz, beware the romance option :P

Now, seriously, thanks a lot. You and all the others helped a lot. What i did:

1-Defrag

2-"Kill" Unnecessary process in the Task bar

3-Set DAI priority to High

4-Disabled other background process, like CCleaner or Windows Update

5-Settings in low and goin up from there (Mostly all in low, but some stuff medium)

6-Off all tessellation, AO, AA, and all those things that barely make a difference with low-medium settings

7-Used Outcome.

Had a pretty decent playthrough (around 40 fps) loading a different area (The emerald graves). And finally made some sweet juice of the CE banter. Had fun. Couldn´t reply early cause sadly i had to went to the hospital cause my father is really sick and, well, life. Now my bro is taking care of him so i can come to rest an clear my head with some good Inky adventures.

Sorry to hear about your dad.  :(   Glad you are able to play decently finally.  :>

Thanks. Is ok, now that i´m not working full time i can spend more time with him. Hate the hospitals tho. I come and go any hour, between that and the translations my sleep schedule is a mess, but well. **** happens.

Back to game, yeah, i finally can dedicate some hours to it w/o having big issues. And the banter, omg, i lost so much now i just fool around to hear it. I checkd that there are 2 hotkeys, one for "permanent" banter and other to activate it once. Seems that i only have that last one, binded to F8. Or maybe i did something wrong. Anyway that one is better since i can trigger it when i want and don´t get a lot without control cause thatd will suck it dry, i guess.

Ok, now i stop cause don´t wanna keep diverting the subject of the thread. Thx a lot guyzz!

Sartoz,

I haven't had any of the issues you have helped address but please allow me to add my voice to the chorus.

Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to help the people here that have been having issues. Thank you for taking time to test out different settings and their effects on PC performance. Thank you for continuing to address the issues people are having based on their feedback regarding your suggested fixes.

Frankly:

Thank you for doing what a BioWare employee should have been doing this entire damn time!

Even though I haven't had to utilize what you've done personally, I appreciate it, a lot. Thank you.

And due to a desire to keep this separate from a well deserved kudos to a community member, this message:

BioWare employees, be you devs, QA, PR, or whatever... learn from what he did.

He communicated, respectfully, with solutions that he tested himself. He didn't just post them and leave them as though that was the end of it. He looked for feedback based on it and addressed it in a timely manner. He did your job for you, and without the financial motivation that technically should be driving you to do it yourselves.

Part of the reason we're all so "toxic" is because of your inaction compared to what non-affiliated folks are doing. Your community cares about your clients/customers more than you do.

That part above may sound unfair. Read it closely. I'm not asserting that you do not care at all. Just that you no longer care enough. It's how I feel. It's how 520 pages of posters feel.

Prove us wrong.

I want a mod that allows me to kill the Requisitions Lady or at least allow my tank to use Grappling Chain on her! Absolute proof that BioWoW did not test this game.

I will settle for throwing her as far as possible.

No, pretty sure Toby means that painful bint in camp. You know the one that calls out 'Inquisitor' like it's something important, then when you go over to her she says..."Nothing to report, sir"

Then WHY did you call me over? Hey? HEY?

Lord how I would like to craft armour from her hide...

What is you problem with Dragon Age: WoWquisition? A seemless transition between the modern mmo-s and blockbuster action games with the strength of both sides. Innovation at its best. What an ad it would make!

Yeah, not enough buttons on a controller.

and this here is the entire problem with DAI for PC. why was this even released as a PC game? I don't understand. It's a console game. The PC controls are practically non existent and almost requires a mandatory controller anyway. So why release to PC?

Apparently you can sell it a lot of people who enjoy a nice looking console action game on a PC. And if you back the game up with ads about how it is like Origins and how much it was created PC gamers in mind you can sell it to people like me. When a crpg plays better with a controller you know its not a crpg. I think they are puzzled when they get the feedback about pc controls because who the hell would want to play with click to move in an action game.

worked for Diablo 2 - one of the greatest PC games ever made (I know your question was rhetorical)

I played and re-played DAO...several times...

I can remember Orzamar got a bit stale for me but no biggie....that game was fabulous....created a stir....got loads of things right....hit a chord with PC gamers and became a benchmark. Bioware was onto a winner. Even if they had made a second game of more of the exact same thing they would have delighted most people.

Improvements of course could be made...they were obvious and there for the doing all under the umbrella of the Origins brand.

How in God's name you go from that to DAII is beyond belief. You have to be seriously stupid or so far up your own ar*e and so egotistical as to believe you could radically change the game and make it better. DAII was a simple con trick....use the popularity of DAO to sell a rubbishy travesty that would have been OK only if it had been released as free DLC!

With hindsight I should have known that that was the end of Dragons Age...of course hindsight is 20-20. Looking back you can see that Bioware was already gone that Dragons age was not slated for development....the descisions taken were being made knowing that they din't have the talent to capitalise...only the brand to trade off of.

I was fooled too; wanted to believe I guess. The longer development time of DAI, the promises of PC for PC by PC; I thought, OK this is the real second game and will go back to it's roots because only a fool would ruin the franchise further.

But thus it was...no lessons learned....almost a doubling down on the hubris, "you will like my vision!" and politically correct rubbish....you can see Bioware does not exist anymore! It is simply a name to be cashed in on as long as people believe it represents something.

When you realize this....when you try a second playthrough of DAI and realise you just can't finish it....when you realise "the patch" is not coming...only then when you uninstall DAI and Origins and know you will never buy another EA game again....only then will you feel peace.

I never played DAO as a rogue....I'm going to....and then call it a day....RIP Dragons Age. RIP Bioware....I am sorry I contributed to your prolonged purgatory...be at peace and go softly into the good night.

We are both free now.

The question is not "why release it on PC?", but rather, "why release it in an incomplete state on PC?". Because it is too difficult to get the controls right? NO! The excuse of it being too difficult is complete BULLSHIT!

This is NOT the first "PC" game using Frostbite 3. It is NOT hard to implement a proper control scheme and key mappings (including mouse buttons) for KB&M users. Countless PC games from the past 5 years have this implemented properly INCLUDING Dragon Age titles.

It is NOT hard to tailor the UI to suit KB&M or to dynamically hide HUD elements such as the ability bar - the controller UI already does this!

The only reasonable explanation is that either this job was given to a snot-nose junior developer, or that it was a last-minute decision to even include a KB&M UI at all (most likely both).

What makes me so furious is that I PAID FULL PRICE FOR MY GAME JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! And I bought the PC VERSION OF THE GAME FOR A ****** REASON!

What the people at Bioware fail to comprehend, is that it does not matter how fantastic their game may be. If it is not enjoyable to PLAY it, then all that effort is for nothing!

And they LOSE a loyal fan.

Not since they nerfed it.

Bestial Wrath, now....

Threnn really annoys me. Not because of her stance on Loghain. I don't like him, but, hey, each to their own.

Nope. It's because she tells me all about how wonderful he is in effing Goldanna's voice.

It's a slap to the face, I tell you. A slap.
