The save states are built around what they've programmed a console to do.  It's going to be a long string of characters and compressed and rarely accessible or "re-nameable".  You're SOL because, once again, they decided that there would be a finite number of saves, and that they'd be hidden if possible.  They don't like US.

It does look like it but... All of the changes are simply good. Exactly what people wanted. And they even go for beta? Cant wrap my head around how EA let them do this but this is the way to go. I am genuinely surprised. Still it will be nothing like a DA game and sure as hell i wont be buying anymore DA from Bioware but this one might become a simply good game. Maybe. At least they noticed people play with keyboard and mouse on  PC.

You are right, but isn`t it something that was supposed to appear from the start?

So, I have a bit of bad news. The rebinding of mouse buttons is unfortunately not part of the patch 5 beta. We know this is something the community has been asking for and are looking for ways to implement it in future. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

With regards to general questions, there are additional fixes in the patch 5 beta outside of the ones listed there, and we will provide a full list of changes to the participants.

The program has not opened yet for registration, but will in the near future. We'll put out an announcement once sign ups are open. It's currently only available to PC players, and I'm afraid I don't have any information on future patches on other systems.

But obviously, yes, you probably just read that the mouse buttons were out before typing a response. I understand that this is something that has been highly requested, and understand that this may be frustrating for some.

Okaaay, I suppose I`ll get my chance to play decently somewhere about summer, rright?

So, no key to mouse rebinding.

So how do you think auto attack will work?

1. Just press the R key to start and the R key again to stop?

2. Point at someone, left click and off you go?

3. Will my tank go after my "clicked" target for the kill?

4. Will this work only for my quizzie?

5. Can I switch character during combat?

6. Is locked-on-my-target part of auto-attack or will I be ripping air apart again... automatically?

Yeah, who knows...I would not hold my breath for something that actually works. Bioware has shown us that they have lost the plot entirely with implementing logical core game mechanics.

These patch 5 additions are being advertised to us as if it's some sort of ground-breaking innovation. But these were all features that were present in the previous games, so excuse me if I don't jump for joy that they finally after 3 months since the game's release, decide to wake from their holiday slumber and start doing something.

And people....remember - they had us all excited with pretty promises before....

I don't see how they could mess up the Black Emporium (but I would not be too surprised either), but they managed to royally mess up tac cam (which is not being mentioned for patch 5), they still can't work out how to add bindable mouse buttons (LOL), which is a standard feature in most games, auto-attack is VERY likely to break other things, the storage chest in the Underforge? Is that really the best they can do with an entire un-used basement in Skyhold???

We had to beg them to add a walk toggle for KB&M. They delivered a half-baked solution that only caters for 2 of the 3 movement speeds that players with a controller in hand can enjoy.

And now this Beta test program? What, they can't even test their own patches? How hard can it be to test a storage chest, Black Emporium and auto-attack? This is simply ridiculous!

Nah! Until they produce what they once again promised, I am not getting my hopes up.

So, should we place bets on how soon we'll reach 1000 pages before we actually get improvements for the PC controls?

Odds, anyone? ;)

I'll take that bet, no problem!

I think ive seen changing movement speed with mouse wheel. Maybe it was in the first Splinter Cell game. That was pretty cool, its not even limited to 3 speed. At least in "action mode" it would not hurt since you dont use for anything useful the wheel now. Just a suggestion id make if there was a beta for the game. But of course you would not even need any of this if click to move was in the game in the first place. No devs interested in feedback here and they are done with walking with the walking toggle i know. But yeah, these new guys at new bioware totally lost it, they are too incompetent even for making mouse button binds. Are they programming with a controller in hand or what? xD

Either this Frostbite is the biggest piece of **** PC gaming has ever seen or Bioware people are good for nothing. Or both.

Hahahaha, yeah I bet they are programming with a controller in hand like you say! That would definitely explain a lot, wouldn't it!

And yes, Frostbite 3 is a 1st person shooter engine with pretty graphics and some cool destruction abilities. It was NEVER intended to me more than that - but then...shooter games are big on KB&M so again, the apparent inability to bind commands to mouse buttons does not make any sense at all.

With the help of the people who actually created the engine, they still can't get something like this to work, even though it was DEFINITELY done for games like BF4....

Highest level of incompetence, right there!

I'm a rebel, and I'll never be any good.  The Crystals said it best...not the ones that I stuck on Shale.

It seems anyone who addresses a certain handful of people, in ANY manner, gets the "suspension".. Even if they are completely unwarranted..

Ive said it before, and ill say it again.. Some of the "Apologists", and defenders, are indeed working on behalf of the company.. The suspensions are all too one sided for it not to be...

They really don't know how to make a decent game at bioware anymore that isn't hindered by some form of terrible design/gameplay. They haven't made good decisions in a long time. It's the freaking truth. I can't believe they are actually still putting time and resources into that disaster star wars mmo either. That is genuinely sad.

The last decent game they made was mass effect 2, and for me personally I didn't like how shepard became a freaking robot at the very beginning and how liara wasn't even in it unless you got the expansion, combine that with the stupid planet scanning bullcrap and I thought it was 6/10 at best.

Either way the main reason why we will never get a game like origins again and why they will never live up to any promises with both great gameplay and a great story is because many of the people who worked on origins don't even work for bioware anymore, including the lead director. The director left with others who worked on origins and have been making this instead http://www.ign.com/a...-coming-in-2015

What do you mean, the Black Emporium isn't going to happen? Is this fact?

And yes, the new D&D game looks awesome! But I will be honest, I wished it had the same 3rd person view as DAO, DA2 and DAI.

um I'm trying to find where I read this but don't seem to be able to. The article had also said that resources were being devoted to star wars the old republic as well and whatnot.

Also I may be confusing black emporium with something else entirely, i'm not sure. It was late last night xD

Literally not much. I do remember reading it though... I'm pretty sure the link was posted to the article in one of these threads in BSN. I was so tired though that I may not have realized I was reading a massive troll article.

It also could have been deleted by the mods which would explain why I can't find it anywhere...

I remember it had a comments section though and people were downvoting the people who were saying resources shouldn't be spent on star wars the old republic anymore. I specifically remember reading some guy saying the game wasn't dead yet and still had a large following. So I know for a fact that I definitely did NOT dream this lol. I can't find this damn thing for the life of me though.

Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on this one, friend! They wouldn't announce this to the world and then 3 days later decide not to.

Not cool, getting everyone worked up for nothing, yo! Not cool.

Sorry now I remember. I guess I really did dream that black emporium took the place of shadow realms, lol. At least I figured this **** out I thought I was going crazy for a minute.  Shadow Realms

We’ve made the decision to not move forward with development of Shadow Realms," wrote Hickman in a post on the official site. He went on to explain that "right now there are other projects for the team to work on within the BioWare studios for the coming year and beyond," citing Star Wars: The Old Republic as the biggest focus, followed by Dragon Age: Inquisition, the next Mass Effect game, and "other new IP."

There is nothing wrong with third person cam exploration and wasd, i agree, but when it comes to combat with a whole party id expect the option to do it in a decent ismoetric camera angle with decent keyboard+mouse control. I do hope too they will add the option to "free-roam" controlling one character and the rest follows you like ducks :D. If Sword Coast Legends will have at least a "good" story and "acceptable" characters in the single player campaign (and there will be more and possibly a lot of user created stories because that game is meant to be modded) it will outclass inquisition. It does not even matter if 99% of the stuff is mmo busy work when the game brings you the same combat experience Origins brought.

You have to admit  the "Dungeon Master" mode  is rather enticing if they do it properly.  I remember an older game that tried this called Vampire Redemption. Unfortunately, the game master mode in that was severely broken.  It would be amazing if they get this feature right.

I think that is THE multiplayer meant for rpg-s. I just dont think they can pull it off properly. But Inquisition multiplayer just feels like something done only for microtransaction incomes developed the most cost-efficient way possible. Its just like they did design it to be boring. I leveled up a legionaire to level 6 or 7 and totally lost interest. I had the feeling of playing a diablo dumb mode. Maybe if you had more abilities (bigger ability bar) and different type of game modes, not just horde mode it would be cool Maybe 4 ability restriction is to lower the skillcap. Making impossible to **** up other people's game by making it too damn easy?
