If you successfully joined the beta you can now download the beta via origin and access the private forum.

still not working here. I have the same email address on the forums and in Origin but my display name is different. could that be the reason?

Nope.  Try logging out of Origin forums, empty browser cache, and logging back in.  I got into the forum after I did that.

already tried that several times, and used different browsers as well. Oh well. Bed time here (nearly midnight) so I'll try again in the morning

If that doesn't work, log out of Origin, close Origin, open it again and log in. If only the forum is giving you fits, and clearing caches, logging out doesn't work, try a different browser - I got right in on Firefox.

I hope as well as it does for other game producers. It can be a good thing, cutting both cost and time required to get new content and patches out. Let's hope it does the same for Bioware and, they keep the program going.

For those of you that are "in" and are downloading the Beta. Can you tell us the size of the Beta?

 

Past patch sizes were around 70MB.  However, with additional content, the size should be much higher.. 200-500MB????? I'm assuming new content = new  meshes and texture files....

I don`t know if this is the correct place for this but there is only one thing i would like in the PC version of the game, which is being able to move the Camera without holding the right Mouse button... can at least be optional? anyway i can`t wait for the chest and being able to adjust my Female Inquisitor looks a bit.

Past patch sizes were around 70MB.  However, with additional content, the size should be much higher.. 200-500MB????? I'm assuming new content = new  meshes and texture files....

Well, it didn't take too long. I would guess around 15 minutes or so. My internet is fairly slow.  It's 4g speed.  I would guess around 400-600 mb range.

They're on record for saying that they have the best QA in the business.

 

Then I feel for the QA guys whose stellar bug reports go unfixed. That must really suck.

Programmers: "We can fix 3. Pick your favorites."

unknown I'm doing the whole redownload the game instead of the create new folder and copy paste x,y,z files so It'll be a while for me.

It's not a really complicated process.  You just create a new folder, cut/paste , download new patch files, run repair on new beta folder.   That's about it.

Downloading at the moment and it's showing 24.40gb. Wonder if they are having people redownload the game with the patch included. 

R u playing on a console?

 

Otherwise it make no sense. I have physical media and my internet cap is rather low.... unless the Beta is a "fresh" game to test everything out and later a true patch will follow.

Nope, playing on pc and yea when I seen the download size it caught me off guard. Had to double check just to make sure.

Bio must have felt it necessary to re-compile the game with all the changes and new content.. use this as a new  baseline and let the testers have a go at it.

 

Just think! this coming Saturday I will be drinking black russians in Costa Rrrrrrrricaaaaa!!! hehe

I signed up and agreed to the EULA, but I still can't download the patch for beta testing. I think I had my hopes raised...
