Interesting...
Does Outcome still allow you to update your game with newly released patches via Origin?
Nope. But I reinstalled the whole thing so I have all the latest patches in already. So my "fix" for me works in spite of the patches.
Kinda freaky when you get right down to it.

So, Bio made some performance tweaks.
Did Bio mentioned what you should test? (yes/no answer)
Sartoz, how are you not part of this process?

- The Tac Cam still needs a bit of work.
By a bit you mean a lot, it's basically untouched.
I am not sure if you can tell anything about it, im not even sure you can tell what youve just told but is there changes to tac cam?
Let's just say that you would not need a mod or cheat engine for a certain function related to the Y axis, the rest is unchanged (at the moment, but don't hold your breath patch 5 is not the messiah we've been waiting for).

I think those of us not in the beta would appreciate a word or two from Bioware regarding what exactly we are supposed to expect from this process.
Clearly this is a new experiment (for this title), and considering the length of this thread and all of the issues discussed herein, I think it needs to be re-stated what end result Bioware expects from this beta, considering the change in access and testing in comparison to how the first 3 patches were handled.
We have the list posted on the official Blog of the new features intended in this patch, (and obviously the bulk of the work done by the beta testers will focus on those) but will there be additional PC specific (or not PC-specific) issues discussed, tested, introduced, or ruled out for this patch?

Don't worry guys, the tactical mode is still 100% useless and unchanged from what I can see.
Great news, it means I still thoroughly hate this game. Auto-attack barely works and is wonky as hell.
Even if they fixed the tactical cameras extremely limited and frustrating design (no tilt, gets stuck on everything, doesn't zoom above ceilings), due to the nature of some of these abilities that have no cooldown like spirit blade, it would be a waste of time using it unless they also made it so we could sequence multiple commands. Which you can't.
Who is going to micro-manage spirit blade in tactical mode? Seriously? It's the same thing as micro-managing a basic attack. Who the hell is really going to sit there and do that?

What? People playing beta with controller?
Well, being that it's a beta test.. You really should be testing out both controller and also keyboard/mouse to see if something got broken in the process of input being added.

Hostility is not going to get Bioware to heed your issues with the game, and, if anything, will cause them to think less of your concerns because they will think you are being immature. If you are one of the few people lucky enough to be in the beta, you should try to be as constructive as possible, and give details about what bothers you without ranting. If you can't give decent feedback, it will take forever for the rest of us to get the patch.
Yes perhaps I am a bit bitter - the signups for the beta were much shorter than I anticipated, and I didn't get in. However, testing is a part of the development process, and we all need to respect that we won't be seeing this for a while. Personally, I think the game should have spent another year or so in development - I have yet to find a map that I can't break out of, in addition to all of the many issues that people seem to be having with the interface, glitches, etc. That would have cost a lot of money for Bioware, though.

Spiritblade does not work as deafult autoattack in "tac cam mode"? Thats... xD. Well, beta is still up, report it for whatever its worth.
edit: Or... If you play Tac cam with controller (that would be "xD" tough) it might feel right. I dont know.

I had no idea this game was broken for so many people until I read the last 10 or so pages of this thread. I've been having a comparatively easy go of it. The game works great on my PC and I've only had one or two hard crashes in 50+ hours of play. Cutscene hitching hasn't been a problem for me until Patch 4, which somehow introduced it for me. That's a bummer indeed. I hold high hopes for Patch 5, as it seems like it will add some fun features to the game. Hopefully others will be satisfied again.

The introduction scene went without a hitch and everything was set to high on Graphic settings. I need to lower tesselation because some surfaces really look shiny. I'm okay with it because it looks like a high-speed polish, but the lip gloss thing is bothering me.
- No audio glitches, no lowered framerates between cutscenes and action movement.
- Auto-attack (SP) doesn't work. It simply puts me into a 'guard' position. I'm holding a bow and nothing is happening. I have to left-click to fire the bow or use my attack key © on the gaming pad.
- Sprint... doesn't work. It's toggled as (E) and the character is not moving any faster.
- Click-to-move is still no present in action mode. Camera zoom didn't zoom high enough in tactical mode to help with different elevated enemies during the introduction scenes.
- The big takeaway from this version is that I didn't crash to desktop and the FPS never dropped when looking around.
Erm... So the beta is closed - so that we can not influence in any way for patch to actually solve problems? *sarcasm*

Thing is sprint works in multiplayer, you move faster if you hold it. Maybe not working in SP was a bug all along.
Unsurprising that sprint works in MP.
MP is EA's revenue stream and therefore the focus of quality and improvements.

Be mindful of the NDA agreement you signed.
I'd think BIO is more interested in making sure the New Content is not spilled. This makes sense.
The rest is part of the listed fixes... they either function as intended or need additional work. Either way, the Beta won't be released to the general public until they are satisfied.

I got away from this topic for a while, since I was not expecting a fix to the problems related here anytime soon, so I lost the beta registration. But is there a topic at least saying what is coming with patch 5? Didnt find anything here

So the all mighty "patch 5" is useless for any important issue ...
- Point click and move
- Tactical cam
- auto atack ...
its incredible how incompetece gained so higher ground on Bioware ...
the game is still unplayable with non-ranged classes ...

Bugs are bound to happen we know that, the autoattack might get better given the feedback, but lots of critical features seem to have been overlooked. Let's wait and see, but don't get your hopes up, there's little to no chance they'll touch the tac cam any more than they already did.

Ive just played Dark Messiah of M&M. Now thats a proper action game and proper mouse and keyboard control! Id rather have point and click in this one. But i guess bioware attitude toward it is "deal with it people, buy a controller like a real PC gamer".

Yes, but that's money EA wouldn't have to spend on this end of the release...which would also have meant more sales to date for them as well. But, game publishers are seldom rational about things like that. If EA does a Ubisoft, then they'll support the game actively for six months after release and then drop it like a hot potato--that's what Ubisoft did with Might & Magic X--leaving all sorts of things unfinished. The idea that had they persisted in polishing the game to near perfection they'd be guaranteeing sales of the software for years to come never seems to have occurred to Ubisoft, despite the success of companies like CDProjeckt who continue to improve their games for years, and as a consequence CDPR games keep selling for years after the initial release. CDPR will, otoh, take whatever time is necessary to get the game right before it ships (missing Christmas if they have to) and then work for a long time after that to perfect & improve them--everyone who buys their PC games has learned to expect that kind of service from the company. I think Witcher 3 will constrast very favorably to Inquisition; and that's something that wasn't at all evident before Inquisition shipped--but it is now. The largest hurdles that DAI has to overcome, imo, are the concessions the game makes to the far less powerful consoles; the console-ish nature of the game is evident when it shouldn't be. It's remarkable when you think about it: it took long years of hardware development and progress to arrive at the point where 3d games could run at high resolutions in 32-bit color @ 60 fps & up. Yet here's a 21st-century 3d game that artificially seeks to cap *cutscene* framerates at 30 (among many other compromises)! (Just so that the inferior consoles can look better when running the game.) Pshawwww-w-w-w-w...
Balderdash...! It's no wonder the game is having display problems, imo...as I've noticed the "fix" for 60 fps + doesn't exactly work very well...![]()

Beta Tests of insignificant Black Emporium little room with some stuff in it after 4 months? Wow. Yuhu. Hurray.Keep in mind that this patch won't be out for at least a month or even more: 5 months without any support for game and every possible twitt/forum post: "We work hard/had vacations/our game won 10/10 IGN/mlg 360 noscoping bugs Q&A team/please wait one more year and don't be angry or create "hostile envirement" for our poor not-getting-paid-for-posting-anything workers.
Obviusly, because we are under and DND (Do Not Disclose) Agreement, I can't tell you what is in the patch we are testing but, I can assure you it's a lot more than just the Black Emporium itself. Patience, we'll get everything working right so they can give it to you.
