I´ve been away for months, so i am unsure how things have changed for the PC version since release. Could someone please make a short overview of what has been improved since release?
I´m specifically concerned about: no autoattack -> button smash, terrible camera (nothing like DAO one), game freezes and perfomance.

not much has changed since release, you have to wait for Patch 5, wich is in beta right now, so we aren't sure of what's included or not.
Between Nexus and CheatEngine I finally have a game I can relate to.
1. Expanded inventory means I don't need a chest
2. Instant harvesting. Say no more!
3. Camera zoom. people I talk to are not far away.
4. No armor class restrictions
Can even romance Cassandra!
If only the Requisition lady wouldn't be so annoying and give me all the req's at once, I would be happy

As far as I'm concerned, what's in the Beta testing phase right now is for the devs and us tester eyes only PERIOD. I think the test is going well and, we are being heard, our suggestions considered and, many of them implimented.
I don't expect this patch to make 100% of you 100% happy with the game, that's unrealistic but, I do expect it to make a lot of you happier with the game. I don't even expect it to make me 100% happy as in "Okay, game's done, it good, leave it alone." no, there will be more that needs attention, but it doesn't all need to be done at once. This beta is a big step - or a lot of smaller steps, however you want to see it, in the right direction and, is going to make the game better.
How much better is subjective so, that's for each of you to decide once the patch goes live. for me, a lot better but, that's me, my rig and, my play style.
while I have no doubt that the improvements being made are great an will make the game better, until the mouse issues are implemented (click to move/interact/attack, rebinding, tac cam fixed) it's like upgrading the furniture in a house that I don't have a front door key to. I'm sure the insides are beautiful and getting even better; but I'm not allowed in yet.

Sorry , we regret to inform you that doors are only available on XBox and PS4. We are working on a patch for PC.
Is there any word on the dxdiag errors? The game constantly crashed now and I can't seem to find any constructive acknowledgement from Bioware, EA or Nvidia.
lol my bf and I had someone over for dinner and he spent most of his time when he talked about DAI, complaining about the PC controls and the useless filler quests in the map ruining the game, that he now hates (and the MP being broken and poor outright, in several ways). He was done with Mass Effect after 2 and it looks like he's done with Dragon Age after DAI.
I can only have hope for the future. And it is easy to - DAI has some amazing, really fun elements and sections. Its too bad about the rest. I don't hate DAI myself, but there's just so many issues. Regardless, I still personally like it more than DA2 and I do think that patches and both free (ha! I can wish and hope) and paid DLC will resolve many things, as long as Bioware is able to and chooses to go for it.
I don't want to give up on Dragon Age, because I personally have some crazy ass theories that would make me deeply happy for potentially *years* if even a fraction of them are true. So do it for me, BW
I think I used to believe this exact same thing. What I mean to say is that the bad did not eclipse the good. The nougats of saccharine crispies were only mildly obscured by a hint of anisette. If you would possibly allow me to corrupt you to the something, something dark side I will do my best to describe the hiatus. I hope this somehow sticks out. Admittedly I am swayed by words. I know! Even on the internet. A fool am I but there is a great lot to learn from this thread alone. I've witnessed so much. And I know you have as well. I recall messaging you to convince you into editing your initial post, since you were second, with updates because at the time the OP did not. Which you did and I am extremely thankful for that motion. So I do hope you forgive me as this goes along.
This whole fiasco and the self-mocking chicanery inspires little credibility for this company in me. I can not see the redeeming value of persistence in this or the promise thereof for purchasing DLC to enable what I feel to be terrible behavior. The passion this game may invoke in me is precluded by my selfish desires for items that should be innate. However they are treated as outliers; caveats of a platform woefully under appreciated. Yes. This is incredibly subjective. Now allow me to devour your eternal soul!

What is scaring me into turning away is the direction now. Is this the future of DA and ME? Buggy messes with more crashing than a Bethesda title? Disclaimer: Only a few of us have crashes. Though some on consoles can't even start. Many apologies to those that do not. Frostbite 3 is the wave of the future. PC is a minority - doesn't deserve its own intuitive control scheme. People don't play games to finish them. Big stories are not the future. Play the game with a controller you fool. Games are too hard, take too long to learn. Retconning and narrative cohesion. We're having trouble implementing rebindable mouse controls. More hammy shoehorned multiplayer with cash shop. They haven't even talked about Tacky-cam. The damned crafting, buy/trade, inventory UI. What happened to my cheese? By Dumat I will slay you for it! These observances are slowly eroding confidence in me. Spongy dinosaur that I am this is disheartening to watch.
Now wash your hands of this possibly corrupting confession. I do honestly wish that you and any others get the enjoyment they desire from this product, as hypocritical as that may sound.

Well, truth is that vitaars were....too much 'draq-queeny' for almost anyone's tastes.... 
It's not like I totally approve of cliches "savage-like warpaints" either, but Kieta's are still waaay better than vanilla.

My main issue with mods is when they finally do patch they can bust my game badly or the mods stop working, either way it annoys me. so i tend to hold off on mods until the games far more stable.
That is a really good example of how i feel about DA I as well..

Telling us something they probably thought would feel true to a good deal of us as well. Seeing as that they got back tactical camera, keeping that tactical combat in a large amount of areas to explore and quest in. It did look good on paper, though that also doesn't mean it'd be true to all of us.
Now everything wasn't executed right by my book as well as many here, but that's not a false statement if it's true to them. Also I'm sure there are PC players who thought it worked out all fine, because you can still play the game on PC, I know it's possible, just not entirely the way I want. They may (or may not) have changed their minds now and they have all the rights to do so, getting input from players displeased with it can convince you. Even if not convinced, it's good that they're patching it up to try helping us play the game.
And we can't possibly know for sure why it's taking it's time to do that... Though I wish we could be enlightened...
Also want to thank mod for taking away a few off topic posts, including mine. That could've gone up in flames... lol

Well, I chose to remain on the positive side of it, I really doubt they'd do these things to make us mad (like you make it sound to be). I do want to give people who makes "mistakes" a chance to redeem, because there's a lot to learn from "mistakes" (mistakes as in my opinion and I guess yours too). And now they might see it like such or they may not, depends on each employee. But we're getting this patch and that in it's own say something, make it as you will.
This is getting way out of line anyhow, know that I'm waiting eagerly for this patch as well as more fixes. Just that I see it differently with all of this "betrayal" than you do. At least the attacking is cut out, which was my main point, now I was just explaining how I see it from a quote. Still not saying it as a fact, because none of us can know for certain!
Also, those nexus mods sure sound awesome, I'll be sure to give those a try.

Edit: Also it doesn't include all of the employees at Bioware, you can't really draw all over a line. Neither can I. You might think you know a thing was done a way and hell it might, but you just can't take their word and twist it so that they all lied to your face on purpose and want to rob you blind. When there's no way to know how the creators minds were thinking, unless well, they told us.
There's no point in going on anymore, you can feel betrayed and you've all right to do so. I was just trying to ease that with what could also be the case. All speculations.
