JPR out!
He understands perfectly well but his purpose is to test our conviction, not validate our opinions.

There's basically no chance for a mod, and given Bioware's ability to patch, there's no chance for a patch either. All we can do is hope they'll manage to fix the control and the tac cam....
It is possible to mod...but I'm not sure how good of an idea it is. If a game is saved when a mod is active, it can't ever be loaded again without the mod. There may be a way to mod around that, but then we have mods to mod our mods for modding, and it just becomes way too annoying and complicated.
Downloading the beta now anyone know where patch notes are

Try reading the beta forum.
I suspect, like me, chrstnmonks has the beta ready for download in origin but no access to the forums as yet. Not sure what's going on there.I would have thought it would make more sense to have the two things coincide.

Maybe; maybe not....
There's a difference between swapping some meshes/textures around and fundamentally changing a fuxxed UI. In skyrim the UI used flash and was made to be moddable from the start (it was basically a module), that's not the case in DAI. There is little chance we see mods of the same quality as, for example, DAO or DA2 mods.
I have signed out of the forums and then signed back in and now I can see the beta forum.
Ah, I'll try that. I should have thought of that myself. The forum equivalent to 'have you turned it off and back on again?'.
The entitlements took a bit longer than expected today to refresh, but everything should be working now for those of you who are part of the program. If you can't see the private forum, make sure that you are logged in to the same Origin account that you used to access the beta. If you are, trying logging out, clearing your cache, and logging back in.
Where can I join the forums for those in the Beta ?

Doing a full backup of my laptop at present, then will see what Patch 6 is looking like.
Was cautiously optimistic with some of the patch 5 stuff.... depends on how 6 looks if I remain that way.

Hum...the link just leads to a "Sorry, that page doesn't exist" page.

Maybe deleted it because the beta is full?

Ah indeed, it worked, thanks =)
I missed something, Patch 5 is now Gold?
P.S - After all the troubles with Patch 3, I unplugged so my game is still on Patch 2.
Patch 5 is not released yet, but the blog with patch notes for it is up. Being on of the beta testers. I recommend updating and getting ready for patch 5. I like the game better with patch 5, and more is in the works.
will patch 5 change my current game saved from November?
EDIT as in game breaking changing, not cosmetic changes.

Well, you can read the blog and, it isn't game breaking but the changes do work.

Same here.
Agreed. substantial performance improvement on my end with beta patch 5.
I sympathize with the user interface issues, and despite a marginal like of Inquisition's over the second game- I still miss the first game's fluidic UI because strategy is nurtured in Origins. I'd like it changed closer to the first game's or a more PC friendly UI but not at the expense of leaving game breaking issues in the PC version of Inquisition like the DirectX errors and the various crashes to desktop others have experienced. There are aspects, six hours in, that I really like and could actually enjoy extra content- which I can't justify spending money on if the game continues to have major issues where I have to tweak something my computer can run amazingly well or outright avoid drivers which given the Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin release, isn't feasible long term for me.
However, I love Cyan Griffonclaw's story commentary on the issue and in spite of newer games- I'm tempted to dust off my KoTOR games and not just because of the healing issues. I'm not impressed with the stripped mage ability to compliment no health regeneration. A healer, whether in the player character or a designated mage healer is a vital strategy and makes you assess priorities. The potions and barrier/shield approach is a clunky, less effective version which adds little interest as an action mechanic. I own Mass Effect, if I want to play defences and limited medi-gel, I can and do play that game. The missing regeneration doesn't upset me- the need to making mage healing a rare ability of one specialization class annoys the frell out of me. Despite the conversation improvements, better in Origins as well, the hampered RPG class and not getting to assign my own attributes outside of certain abilities/spells which even Dragon Age 2 let me, feels limiting.
