However, I love Cyan Griffonclaw's story commentary on the issue and in spite of newer games- I'm tempted to dust off my KoTOR games and not just because of the healing issues.
You know I re-bought the game through a Humble Bundle special and added it to Steam just a few weeks ago. I still have the original discs (somewhere... in a binder.), but I didn't want to go hunting in that closet. Oh Maker. Anyway, I am playing KoTOR again on this rig for the first time and enjoying it.

I don't know if you use gog.com so I'll mention it.. It's always a good idea to grab the older games from GOG whenever you can because they actually modify the files to work properly on modern OSes, and also they are DRM free.

Closed beta for Patch 6 beginning. Patch 5 may be released soon™? Totally undercutting my original guess... unless they are planning to release them simultaneously across all platforms I suppose. Gladiatorium, you should have taken that bet! I'm curious though. There's no mention of the Emporium in the notes. So... does this mean that the original blog about the closed beta meant that it was to be a future feature, not necessarily included in Patch 5? Or are the notes simply incomplete for now?

Back to beta-testing sanity, I think. Here's hoping Patch 5 isn't a huge cockup. That wouldn't go over well, especially after all the free help.

True enough. I'll have a BBQ pit ready and stoked. We can at least make use of the smoke. After all there are little regards to taste for the majority.

Both KotOR games are the first RPGs I played outside of Pokémon and written cooperative story RPGs and got into all other games as a happy but expensive consequence. I own the retail copies, the four disc set for the Sith Lords and the PC essentials release for the first game.
I've got an array of mods I use, mostly especially for the Sith Lords with the TSLRCM to patch up missing content. The first game can be unstable at times but it does work and at least 8.1 doesn't make it crash through a cutscene like Vista did

I love Farscape and it crept into my language, which I have to watch when I'm writing my own science fiction. I trawl fanfictions with an interest in anything with John versus Scorpius or their interactions which were great episodes amongst a treasure trove of an all-round amazing series.
I really hope Inquisition, Patch Five with its vague 'improved stability' line in the notes adds it for the long gaming sessions I crave without skittishly waiting for an issue.

I actually have nine "episodes" up on FF.net under this moniker and it's no small amount as they average around 30 000 words or so. Plenty of good readin', if'n I do say so meself.

Not released, only the blog post for the patch 5 notes is up right now, the patch itself has yet to be released. Perhaps this week though.
Nope didn't see it in the notes. Wasn't expecting them to actually fix something that matters.Is auto attack still in?
If you cannot download the Beta version of the game via Origin and, you do not have access to the beta forums here but, you did complete the sign up, it's likely that they are just now granting the entitlement to those that were not a part of Patch 5 Beta. Wait today and keep checking. I'd say that if you don;'t get in by tomorrow, then for whatever reason you didn't make it.

It's rare that I read an Errationatus post and I don't have to scroll down. He must be speechless....or overworked on the Writer's Corner page/thread. Either way, it allows me to get in a few words edgewise. Except that it turns out that I'm also not interested in blathering on right now....just hoping for improvements with patch 6. Maybe Booware can humor us with a PC improvement....any day now.

I'm never speechless. Brevity, as someone once said, is the soul of wit. I like to give that a shot every once-in-a-while. At least I try and make my walls of text entertaining, I hope.

I took that bet! At least if you're talking about it's release date. I always said it'd be released somewhere mid-March, althought I didn't expected it so much earlier as it's probably this week thou But to be fair, I also said that The Black Emporium would be free and included in the patch....but it doesn't appear in the Patch notes.... (scary scary.... ).
THIS game is going to get overlooked soon because of Pillars of Eternity (amongst others). Any time that Boooware developers would like to improve the game (for PC)...now would be the time. Your game will become increasingly irrelevant as time goes by. Just a hint and reminder.
I hope they will sort out this extremely annoying thing of quest givers walking away while speaking to you!
