Just patched and, oh look! I see a little silhouetto of a man....
Wait, wrong forum for that.
I see an auto-attack key bind opportunity. That wasn't in the patch notes.
Wait, what? There's an auto-attack key? Can anyone confirm this works in-game?

Is there any way to download this patch outside of origin? It seems like origin is having some serious issues right now and downloading the patch is impossible.

It's in the patch notes:
"Single-player only: implemented auto-attack with mouse and keyboard controls, with a new key binding created for this purpose."
243.7 MB of pure meh...
Storage: should have been there in the first place...how long did that take to code...in microseconds
Tinting armor: I mean good lord really? up pops same menu as if you are crafting again...with same horrible color palette.
I hope this is making the game playable for those who could not I really do...I so want this patch to mean something to someone...
Not fixed SLI whiteout fog ...still looking to Nvidia to sort that out then I guess...though I half suspect BioWere for this too...
Says fixed flickering terrain...but I have just played start to a new game, since that is a guaranteed area for flickering for me, and it is till there! Still have massive flickering in cut scene and in game where you pick up first weapon with Cassandra..... ![]()

I could have sworn that when I checked this site http://blog.bioware....-patch-5-notes/ this afternoon there was only like half the changes listed, seriously the current list is like twice the size of what I saw....
Well who I am to complain? HUZAAA!!! Auto-attack in the action cam, increased zoom in the tac cam, and no more ugly terrain flickering! Much better Bioware, thank you ![]()

Sorry no. Try exiting and restarting Origin and/or resetting your internet connection.

Yes, you need to assign it to a key in keybindings but once done it works. Do make it easy to use though, you need to reengage it each time you switch to a new target.

They've done this a couple of times now.
I think they start posting the patch notes about 30 seconds before the patches go live ...

Yes I'd be better if we didn't have to reengange it I agree. Still, so glad I don't have to button-mash just as much anymore, time for some more thinking even when in third person view, and less clicking ![]()
I'd like to hear from any of our fellow members who had serious problems with CTD's and black/white screen crashes, and those who couldn't even start the game.
Is it any better for you after patch #5?
(edit for clarification)

Yes, some serious editing done...glad it's to include more rather than less...
I have just tested another save....in haven just after you get there...still have pine trees flickering...sli 980s 347.71 ![]()
Thanks for the storage chest ![]()
Ok so... Patch 5 is here. Where's the Black Emporium?
LOL, the next controversy for sure, "Black Emporium" or lack of it.
I want to use the right, 3rd, 4th and 5th mouse key. It says, that it would be possible after the patch. But it doesn't work (or do I anything wrong?).
That are 4 keys which are very easy to reach, I don't understand why they don't allow the players to use these keys.

I dont really mind the lack of it. Thing is: I started a brand new inquisitor even though I knew I'd have to wait till Patch 5 release to continue. But now because BE is missing I cant. I was willing to wait longer, but if it aint here, when will it come????? this is ridiculous

Yes, But it required a bit of tweaking on my end. Running on a Titian GPU, so naturally I maxed all settings, should be no sweat for my gpu but, DAI wants to pick fights with some GPUs. So here's the workaround that worked for me.
1. Stability fixes in patch 5
2. In Nvidia Control panel
Single Display Mode
VSYNC Addaptive
3. In Game Graphics Options
Post Processing Effects LOW
All others Ultra (might need to be lower for your specific GPU and CPU)
Still running Full Screen, non windowed.
ZERO crashes after a 24 hour run test.
Other are still getting the DX crash occasionally but, it is better now.
Well now they expanded on the patch notes, and the main thing I was looking for is in, Auto-Attack. Now that we have patch notes, can anyone who tested this give details as to what bioware calls auto-attack now, is it true auto-attack or an ****** toggle and you just swing until you turn it off?
Cheers fellow Titan owner I got SLI Titan blacks
Id love to see if they fixed the Sli issues but so far im hearing they havent - Id love to freak out on this forum but im waiting to see for myself - What am I waiting for you ask? Well my patch has twice gotten to around 80%(1st time) and 68%(2nd time) and then I get a message saying Update failed and it has to start over again!
Its hilarious how Origin cant do things that Steam does so easily lol Inferior in everyway - Just give up now EA n beg Steam if you can use their service, cuz yours is complete garbage
Remember that with Patch 5, there's a new Shader Quality setting now. It's at the bottom of the graphical options menu.
I've changed it to Ultra, hopefully it doesn't give problems (I'll test it tonight, Europe time
).
I noticed the first time. It's at Ultra but doesn't look like before patch. I'm thinking of deleting config file but not sure. Whatever they did makes the game look different and not for the better I must say. I'm in EU too ![]()

I downloaded the patch right when it released at 4.80 Mb/s avg. Probably the servers are hammered now.
LOL, the next controversy for sure, "Black Emporium" or lack of it.
I may have to write a wall of text for it.
I'm thinking I'll be really pedantic about it, just for a spot of change, y'know?
OK so my personal "patch" quality test has always been to go to Emprise and to Sahrnia..inside a blue house is a woman who says "No, I dropped it...it's gone, gone..."
There is an inspect icon on a small box in front of her and no way to interact with it....months later and five patches and it's still not fixed...
SLI problems are still there with vsync on...fog whiteout and flickering of vegetation and ground areas still apparent...might be better but not fixed...no, not fixed!
My personal prediction for the Emporium:
"Thanks for beta testing it guys...now pay us for the DLC...you're welcome!"

Choose target, press auto-attack key, shoot-shoot-shoot-target dies, attacks stop. Repeat.

So they still didn't fix the directx crash? Looks like their is no reason for me to reinstall.
Flickering still happens with single 780 GPU. I wonder when this game will be playable.
