Yeah....the cheese shield and the banana axe...because EVERYONE wants that rubbish!

And yes, armor and weapon details are pretty disappointing especially considering the rendering capabilities of Frostbite 3.

Don't even go look at Lords Of The Fallen's incredibly detailed gear, it will really depress you...

Well, did you forget to go get "Victim of Fashion" to go with the cheese and banana? :P Perfect collection of weapon, shield and accessories then. LOL Let the Devs have their fun with us because that's why that stuff is there.

I'm concerned they're planning to have DLC for Skyhold clothing, or at least DLC that rewards Skyhold clothing.

Just give us the option, Bioware. Please.

As one who could sometimes not play 5 mins without a crash before patch 5 I must say the game is much improved, at least on my old ATI (R79000) card, I dare not try the new NVIDIA again. I still think that was unacceptable and I'm not that much into the game anymore since the initial impression kind of ruined the experience. But if you are new to the game and have an ATI you have much better chance of being able to enjoy the game now, at least that's how it worked out for me.

No.....just.....NO.

I thought you meant "Victim of Fashion" figuratively.

But this here....that's just wrong.

As the owner of an Nvidia Titan, and an Nvidia 760, with Vsync adaptive, Ambient Occlusion Off and, Post Processing Effects low, I think Nvidia owners have a good shot and having a stable game now too. For me those settings have made the game 100% stable on both rigs.

Yeah, system requirements should have read:

ATI Graphics Card

XBOX controller

It is not required. It is recommended, because this trash is an afterthought console port Controller only enhances the experience of tacitical rpg featuring party based combat. There is no contradiction here. Not at all. A PC crpg better suited for controller, Bioware One of the divisions of EA made it happen.

As I beta test more, I just begin to realize the utter lack of quality/details of weapons/armor in DAI.  Did the art team hire a inept intern to do this?  Who was the brilliant person who came up with the cheese wheel shield?  Please tell me it is some internal joke I'm not understanding. It must be the same individual responsible for one of the first unique swords you run into early on in the game.  The one that looks like a metal tree branch of some kind.  sweetish fingers or something like that.. grr

Yep it was some lame idea to do with Orlais being French like and Cheese, maybe they'll come up with an armor made of ham that tastes of despair  :D

I've gotten the "GetDeviceRemovedReason" crash FIVE times today during cutscenes. I can't even get to ****** Skyhold because I have to listen to "The Dawn Will Come" over and ****** over again because this buggy ass game keeps crashing.

Come now!  You are supposed to be inspired by that song!  Your game crashes because you're doing it - whatever it is you're doing (I think assuming it was worth playing was your first mistake) - wrong.

Actually, it doesn't matter what you're doing.  You paid, EA is happy, it eventually might be fixed, that's all that matters.

Don't worry, though.  Elhanan should be along any minute now to tell you why his/her experience is superior and how likely it is that that's also your own fault.

"Several hours from now, the dawn will come!"

Let it be known: There are absolutely NO clipping issues with wearing armor in Skyhold. Absolutely NONE whatsoever!

The clipping issues would happen during cutscenes.  Especially in Skyhold, there are a lot of cutscenes where the characters touch/are close to each other, and the spatial variances in armor, especially something like Armor of the Dragon and many of the heavy armors, would make blocking the cutscenes difficult without clipping issues.  They would need something that was universal that follows the body.  This is probably also why the companions are in a specific, default armor at Skyhold as well.

Open the control panel in windows, under Uninstall a Program DAI shows the version number there.

Oh boy... that's like saying, "End your frustration here... with one simple click."

Uncertain if this will help, but you may wish see if any previous settings were re-set by the latest patch. Mine had a few re-set to Default; the reason I lost sub-titles at some point. Perhaps some Graphic or other option is now creating a reason for cut-scenes to crash.

Also wondering if using the Benchmark tester available would help diagnose the issue; some Techies here might be able to help with suggestions. Good luck!

So minor that they can be ignored. No more so that the default outfit clips at the back of a Male Qunari neck anyway. Yes, when you enable Armor in Skyhold via CE, weapons and shields clip in one or two scenes and, helmets stay on in cutscenes (Qunari Vitaar does this anyway.) but, it isn't bad, and rarely happens. Clipping is NOT a reason to deny us armor in Skyhold.

Words cant make some people understand what these 10 minutes are about. It is simply beyond their comprehension. Some people think they have PC UI with PC controls. Ignorance is a bliss. Those not even getting the drama about this being single player mmo are the goldmines for companies like EA. They are the target audience.

Insults?  I'm not insulting anyone, simply stating a simple fact simply.  Saying "Elhanan should be along any minute now" is actually factual and you, like the devil, did in fact appear when his name was uttered. That you refrained from your usual "my experience has been so much better and DA:I is my waifu/husbando and if you were only so fortunate how fortunate you would be", is simply some personal peeve of yours never to resemble the remarks of your supposed inferiors.

This then is all there is to it. Your superior list of ignored inferiors no doubts grows superiously with superioriferous numbers. If trends hold, you will eventually be here talking primarily to yourself which will then facilitate the utter harmony of thought you seemingly so tirelessly seek.

I bid you good fortune in that endeavour with all ably-mustered and re-run-over sincerity.

It's been happening ever since the game came out, not just after the patch. Maybe I'll play with the graphics settings a little.

Ha, Bioware is NOT being up-front about this whole Skyhold outfit fiasco.

How come modders are able to write a simple little script in Cheat Engine to allow your character to keep his/her armor on at Skyhold, but Bioware STILL has not offered any such solution?

I've heard the clipping excuse from one of the devs. What a load of guff! They really insult our intelligence sometimes...

Let it be known: There are absolutely NO clipping issues with wearing armor in Skyhold. Absolutely NONE whatsoever!

And I can say from personal experience, it is MUCH better to have armor equipped in Skyhold.

It makes logical sense that there is a trigger in the game code that says "as soon as you enter Skyhold, unequip armor and weapons"

WE DON'T WANT THAT, BIOWARE!!! Have we not made it perfectly clear by now? It is pointless and stupid.

If they were able to ADD such a ridiculous trigger in the first place, it should be pretty easy to undo it. So why has it not happened? Who knows....

What is interesting is that at times, going from Haven and Skyhold into another location, I materialize on the other end still wearing pjs.  Last night, I did not realize this and almost died in the first battle because, no armor.  Lol.
