I can safely say even with patch 5 (after having to reinstall everything) I still get the Amulets of Power for my companions!

As one who could sometimes not play 5 mins without a crash before patch 5 I must say the game is much improved, at least on my old ATI (R79000) card, I dare not try the new NVIDIA again. I still think that was unacceptable and I'm not that much into the game anymore since the initial impression kind of ruined the experience. But if you are new to the game and have an ATI you have much better chance of being able to enjoy the game now, at least that's how it worked out for me.
Excellent! My experience is not at all in line with what a lot of people are experiencing in this thread, so far (touch wood). I am on Nvidia and have been all along and dayum, the game has been rock solid stable for the 20 or so hours I have into it. That said, I am still at Patch 2 as well given the issues found with subsequent patches. I am very interested in knowing what the stability issues are that a lot of people are experiencing as there does not seem to be any pattern whatsoever (that i can see). Nothing special about my system, standard slightly above average fare Windows 7 box not unlike what other people have.
Only things that I have done that may be unorthodox is I disable Hyperthreading and I enabled HPET. I did this a long time ago for other reasons.

The clipping issues would happen during cutscenes. Especially in Skyhold, there are a lot of cutscenes where the characters touch/are close to each other, and the spatial variances in armor, especially something like Armor of the Dragon and many of the heavy armors, would make blocking the cutscenes difficult without clipping issues. They would need something that was universal that follows the body. This is probably also why the companions are in a specific, default armor at Skyhold as well.
This sounds quite reasonable as the reason. then again there is clipping all over the place just maybe not as evident. Had a great one last night that I may post when I get home as I took a screeny of it. Had a convo with Cole and to the left was a guy sitting literally in one of those loot jars or what ever they are. Looked like he was taking a cr@p, lol.

That's because not all of them are removed.I can safely say even with patch 5 (after having to reinstall everything) I still get the Amulets of Power for my companions!
You'll eventually find that a lot of the static ones are missing now.

What is interesting is that at times, going from Haven and Skyhold into another location, I materialize on the other end still wearing pjs. Last night, I did not realize this and almost died in the first battle because, no armor. Lol.
I wonder if this "bug" is actually working as intended. That is, in MP mode, the player is given the option to buy a Skyhold armour. Anyone here play MP and can they confirm this hypothesis?

Which ones?
Cassandra's in Fallow Mire. I still get Solas' one during his quest and Varric's too.

Those are not removed (war table rewards, direct quest rewards, and some of the static loot are still there, including Cassandra's in the Mire, Blackwall's in Adamant, and the player amulet in Crestwood).Cassandra's in Fallow Mire. I still get Solas' one during his quest and Varric's too.
You won't find any from dragons, neither of Dorian's in the Western Approach, Cassandra's in Therinfal, the player amulet in the Fade, Varric's in Valammar, Cole's in Emprise du Lion, Vivienne's in the Winter Palace—all of these (and likely more) are missing from the game as of Patch 5.

I don't care about them myself to be honest, but I wanted to check after offering to look for them. They felt overly spammed before, but I understand others are annoyed by it, but thank you very much for the help. ![]()

Insults? I'm not insulting anyone, simply stating a simple fact simply. Saying "Elhanan should be along any minute now" is actually factual and you, like the devil, did in fact appear when his name was uttered. That you refrained from your usual "my experience has been so much better and DA:I is my waifu/husbando and if you were only so fortunate how fortunate you would be", is simply some personal peeve of yours never to resemble the remarks of your supposed inferiors.
This then is all there is to it. Your superior list of ignored inferiors no doubts grows superiously with superioriferous numbers. If trends hold, you will eventually be here talking primarily to yourself which will then facilitate the utter harmony of thought you seemingly so tirelessly seek.
I bid you good fortune in that endeavour with all ably-mustered and re-run-over sincerity.
Great - or not so great, I'll let you choose, Sir - minds do think alike:
It's just ... boring. Why, BioWare? This isn't you.

Dear Elhanan, you're so quick to put people on ignore list.
Agreed; no point discussing matters with one that prefers to condescend to posters with differing opinions instead of debating the issues. Pls set me to Ignore; have done the same.
I wonder if you've read the Philip. K. Dick novel 'Eye in the Sky'?
http://mxmossman.blo...-dick-1957.html
It seems to me that your perfect BSN closely resembles Mrs Edith Pritchett's imaginary world.
'The new world is created by Mrs. Edith Pritchet, who is willing to banish from existence anything that offends or causes problems, starting with sex and ending with Helium, Neon, Nitrogen, and air. Naturally, after that everyone dies and they pass on to the next world, a place brimming with menace, rigid and harsh, that of the paranoid Miss Joan Reiss.'
Everybody who disagrees with your personal vision of the game: ignore, ignore, ignore, ignore. Somebody uses strong language or even covert expletives: ignore. Somebody answers too harshly to you without breaking politeness: ignore.
Somebody bores you : ignore
You'll be all alone in your own private BSN in no time if you keep it up.'
However, if you are on ignore list, how come dearest Elhanan still reply to you, albeit indirectly?
One of the universe great mysteries, to be sure...

Wow, the bitching levels here are so extreme that people are now whining about the cheese shield? It was a minor gag, people. You have the right not to like it, but just get over it. You'll survive.
Not that I am a big fan of Bioware's rather unnecessary silence at times, but I can certainly understand why they don't reply much. This place is so full of over-entitled whiners and pseudo-intelectual bullcrap being sold as "smart, reasonable responses/criticism" it's just just crazy, and nobody will ever be satisfied with whatever they reply anyway. It's just too blown out of the water by now.
They certainly made mistakes, but yeesh, this is just mass hysteria.

Snip
Oh, I got it.
Bio had time for minor gag(s) but not for proper KB+M controls..... but I get it. Bio has time to fix exploits but not basic KB+M controls... I get it, no question about it. PC games don't have much use for good KB+M controls, but let's give them a gag...it will amuse them while their left hand gets a cramp from playing this awkward manifestation of PC controls for PG gamers made by PC gamers.
I get the feeling you are from Bio from "..it was a minor gag..". Either way, if our gag of cheesy fun upset you,.. welcome to the fold.

Pretty much this. I played the game once when it came out and haven't touched it until now, when I learned there was auto-attack, but the amount of betas in this thread is kind of astounding. it's one thing to point out what's wrong. It's quite another to, as you say, whine about a cheese wheel shield (FYI, most people who've been Bioware fans for more than 6 months might know that DA has a joke thing for cheese wheels).
I'll happily point out the sh*t, action combat, but this is just pathetic.

Gosh! Sounds like one of those horrid dreams you get as a child of going to school with no pants on....
Anyway...
Are you playing the game vanilla or are you using mods that affects your pj's in any way? I ask because this is an interesting little bug I have not heard of before...

What? What is this MP mode you speak of? Can't possibly be "multi player". Bioware would never do that to their Dragon Age franchise.

Nah, I don't buy it.
If there are cutscenes in which things like hugging and kissing and rubbing (clears throat) and stuff happens, then they can script the cutscenes in a way to remove armor, or they can compose their cutscenes in such a way as not to obstruct.
But in actual fact, they can't always even get that right in general cutscenes in the game, so there is that.
