I can't help but feel that if Bioware had actually remembered why people like Dragon Age Origins so much then this thread wouldn't have happened, or would have at the very least have been far shorter.
I swear at times that they seem embarrassed by Origins.

"Funny", she sez. Not exactly the word I would have chosen.
Better Red than Dead, as I've always said.
Shandy... ewww. Not a beer drinker myself, can't stand the stuff. Sparkling beer... can't see that as an improvement.

Now, who is ready for the first DLC!?
Spoiler
Only if it is free. Otherwise, a SP DLC + $ + current PC game issues = bypass this one. Same for a MP DLC, as I don't play MP... co-op I'd have to see.

DA:I also desperately needs access to as many mods as Skyrim, if for no other reason than it's likely the only thing that will both fix and save this ponderous retread of a game - as it has done for the last two.
Eventually it might get them, but no one save a few stalwart diehards are really gonna care by then. I've managed one complete playthrough and I already don't care.
I'm content now to watch EA flail - sans my money - from the sidelines for the time being.
From FY15 3rd Qtr Financial report, MP micro$transactions revenue stream is healthy enough to justify their "online MP" policy. This, to me, means mods - only SP gameplay and MP game mods are anathema.
Yes, SP mods that really improve KB+M experience are definitely needed. Add mods that fill that empty content (give Errationatus 1 point for coming up with this one) and you have the start of a good game.

Hm..
Gives me time to redo my computer room...
Paint the room, add wooden flooring, new PC furniture for the 3x27" displays, spring cleaning, cut the grass, fix the fence, plant my flowers and veggie garden, look after my three grape vines, walk the dog, look forward to the 2015-2016 Leafs season, have wine with my dinner and shanties in the hot humid afternoon weather.
Last, come to this thread for fun!

I don't even remember what page this thread was on when I started posting here. as for inquisition itself, at first I actually liked it, even with all the bugs and what not (control issues/inventory... etc.). now, don't get me wrong... I was also very disappointed with the severe lack of "quality" (that term seems to sum it up nicely imho) within the game itself, though I sort of noticed that a steady and increasing lack of quality in the games from most of my preferred game studios (bioware included), it seems to be a trend these days. now after my first pt (I had a female qunari warrior) I began to actually hate the game, just a little at first (I hardly noticed), then it just kind of snowballed, play-through after play-through... until this point... where I can't even think of the game, let alone play it without hating it. I hate the game because it took a series I liked and twisted it into some deformed monstrosity, when it could have been an epic saga (who in their right mind would settle for meh, when an epic is within reach?). I really should have seen this coming from when I played DA2 (I even liked DA2 for the most part), the literal cut and paste level creation was what I noticed here, they didn't even try to hide it, when did stuff like that ever become acceptable? why did i accept it? and I know I accepted it, the rest of DA2 was ok (to me), though why did I settle for simply ok... from bioware? I have no idea why I started ranting, I really don't... I don't even know what my point is here. so I guess that's a good place to stop. I guess I shouldn't even really post this, but why not?

EA got heir money and GOTY. So as far as their are concerned, they don't give a rats' tuches about what gamers' think.

Just tell the kiddies that the games have been dumbed down so todays generation can actually play the game to completion and be handheld all the way through it.
Consols are made for dumb people and now the games are to and its a damn shame that the dumb gamers have control over the industry.

For those of you pointing to Witcher 3 as being the antithesis of the "broken" control-scheme of DA:I, here's a preview from a journalist: http://www.neogaf.co...d.php?t=1014355
And I quote:
- Controller feels superior to keyboard+mouse.
Maybe NOW you'll get with the times, and realise that playing with a controller make you no less of a PC gamer.

Oh, I'm with you, totally.
I'm an Australian who can't stand beer. Oh, except Guinness. Okay, I hate pale ale.
Bourbon drinker, if I must. Or cider.
ETA: And: HA: I just read your last post, Errie. Funny!
Yeah, except I can't stand beer. But that's okay, I call Perry and Cider "beer", so it works. "Strange beer".
Yeah, I have to be in a very specific mood to drink beer. There are a few I can tolerate, but if my other choice is not beer, I take that one.
Glad you liked the wall o'-hopefully-humourous text. Things can get too grim around here.

wrong on so many levels
1) if you game with a controller in a RPG your a consoletard/peasant, deny it as vehemently as you like it does not change that fact.
2)Since 98% of all gaming journalists are consoletards/peasants and are clearly bought what makes you think we the only "real PC Gamers" give a rats ass about his uneducated clickbait opinion?.
Do yourself a favour and take your console loving Bioware apologist butt elsewhere like back up EAware's butthole with the other sheep this thread is for the concerns of PC Gamers since you clearly have no concerns and are only a wannabe PC Gamer what your doing here is anybody's guess.

Thanks. SP mods/DLC that actually populate all of DA:I's silent and empty spaces would likely bring disgruntleds back and generate word-of-mouth that could attract people hesitant to wade into this overwrought yawnfest.
Unfortunately for EA and Biowere, they're likely looking at next year for anything like that - if they can cough up enough moxie to do anything even similar.
Let's hope anyone is still around for it if they do.

My 'secret sauce'?
As I am currently beta-testing Sanity 2.0, as I like to say, I'm gonna have to go with that. So far, it's kinda buggy and the controls suck on it, too.
Whiskey doesn't hurt, though. It's been known to keep me from screaming for reasons I can never readily identify.

It also says:
- The side quests are extremely well made with great writing and branching.
- No enemy respawning or at the least not very frequently
- They were very impressed with the story branching and how it is not always obvious. Correcting 'wrong' choices by saving/reloading will be very difficult if not impossible.
- Contrary to BioWare games dialogue options are not good or bad, this you will have to figure out for yourselves.
- All equipped items are visible in-game on Geralt
- World never felt empty
- Journalist didn't encounter any simple fetch quests
- Journalist encountered no clone NPC's
The opposite of these made Inquisition a damn single player mmorpg. If all of this list, god forbid the original praising list you linked are ture, then i might get a controller. If the pc controls sucks as awfully as it does in Inquisition. Since witcher does not try to make you believe you control a whole party, but one character and it is action oriented, there is no reason to bch about controller if it plays a little better that way.
You still stuck at the idea that "inquisition is bad because controller is better for it than a mouse". There is a lot more to it. The most serious issues are on the list above... On top of that, keyboard+mouse control sucks ultimately.
Or witcher turns out to be the same worthless junk as inquisition is with horrible m+kb control and the journalists lie again because they got bribed again. Would not be surprising.
But whatever you try to do here, trolls here cant be out-trolled, keep that in mind!

While it doesn't, KB/M is still better in most cases.
And in cases where KB/M isn't better, the standard controller is suboptimal anyway.
Overall, I think the best control scheme for general use would have a mouse on one side and a joystick on the other. Best of both worlds. Too bad support is nonexistent.

I first played Origins on the Xbox 360 and thought it was great. Quick keys for powers but everything was available through the radial menu. Even now if I jump back on it, the only thing I find restricting is the lack of isometric camera. Yes it has been cut-down from the PC version but it was by no means a lesser game.
Yet that talent that created two brilliant control schemes that played perfectly to the strengths of the two primary control options (controller. keyboard and mouse) has seemingly vanished.
The keyboard and mouse scheme really does feel as if it were an afterthought. I can understand that the console versions were their priority since that is where they would make the most sales, but PC seems to have lacked even the smallest measure of care. Hell I don't like to praise the game but even Dragon Age II shows more care and attention to the PC player than Inquisition.

I've just encountered a bug or at least I think it is with my game I've been playing on Hard and was noticing the fights were extremely easy so I checked options and my game is set on casual ok maybe I adjusted for some fight but didn't realize it so I reset it back to Hard and saved. Jumped into a battle to close a rift and zap those bad guys went down way way to easy checked options and game reset itself back to casual everytime I jump into a fight the game automatically changes difficulty back to casual. Anyone else experience this issue?
