No. No. Absolutely ****ing NOT. I've waited for MONTHS for them to fix THEIR bloody bug that ****ed up MY characters voice. I will NOT pay EAWare one God-damned cent for a BUG FIX that should have been implemented at ****ing LAUNCH considering how poorly the CC was in the first God-damned place.

It's is so dissatisfying to put in a **** instead of caps typing what I really want to say. I've hit my level though. That's it. Done with this company. On record: I will pirate this DLC to fix my bug, then uninstall it. Finish this game, then uninstall it, Origin, and will never have anything to do with EA or "BioWare" ever again.

Message to the EAWare staff that supposedly haunt these forums but never materialize:

You should be ashamed of yourselves. You knew, without a doubt, what a turd this game is. I've no doubt you worked hard to polish this turd, and had grand hopes to truly elevate it above that, but you failed. EA overlords, or lousy leads, whatever. You failed. And this now? A cash grab to fix your already made mistakes from launch? You don't get to choose that it's paid, I know. Still... your company is scum. I pity you. To have aspired to so much, to have finally been given a chance to work at a true elite studio... and then to have all this happen. The rank and file may not be to blame, it's the management that are truly scum... but the rank and file should be ashamed of themselves. You spent four years of hard work... to ensure that the final nails were in the coffin of EAWare's reputation.

After writing this.. I don't even know if I want to bother finishing this turd. What's the damn point?

Guys, I only have the warden plotline and then the final plotline to go. Someone want to PM me the highlights? I've avoided spoilers so far, but I don't see the point any longer. This game is a helping of bull dung, served with urine to wash it down with. Why I thought they'd be able to make it palatable is beyond me.

I know some techniques that may help you with that anger....

I'm at the point of considering reviving the old D&D p'n'p group. Had the most fun doing that anyways.

Wow.  A great, big, fat "meh" from me.  I wish them success with this, and the Dragon Age franchise going forward, but I'm out.  Oh look there, Pillars of Eternity is out in a couple days....

Yeah when POE goes live I pretty much think Inquistion will be pretty much forgotten about

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was fifteen bucks when it was released.  I still play and still laugh my arse off.

That will not happen with the 'Jaws of Horckedup'.

Ubisoft is being praised for both its damage control and prompt fixes and DLC worth the money over 'Bioware'.

UBISOFT.

Ubisoft.

The universe 'as awl done gone topsy-turvy an' somethin' jus' ain't right about dat.

Perhaps, but am not as much of an isometric fan as other types; still have several unplayed titles in my GOG acct waiting for rainy days.

I'm happy with this patch because it seems the game is finally running stable. Its like, playable now.

Can we finally play full screen without CTD?

I rolled back to patch 5 with my nice mods. Now the game crashes (so swiftly I guess it's the 'non-beige-pyjama' mod). With patch 6 it seems OK but I'm spoiled by the great modders now and find I don't wan't to play vanillia anymore.  Ah well, patch 5 was good while it lasted.

Patch 6 has made the game more stable on my rig. Now if I can play the game with a mouse again that would be awesome.

May 19th is coming around fast. You see six months in the real world for an advance usually carries some interest attached. What am I talking about?

$70 was loaned to you for an incomplete game. You promised the PC experience and you promised a complete game. Now it looks like you need more money from me to continue to fund your project since you probably not fulfill your commitment to bring a full PC experience. You can get all your shady lawyers and PR to stick up for you, but you broke our trust. May 19th. Get it done or I'm leaving you for a developer that doesn't need every disposable nickle and dime I have to MAKE A GAME.

I'm not threatening to leave, I'm promising. I keep my promises.

Well, I've basically left. I might come back, if things actually get done and devs start talking to us but, even as a beta tester, we got no warning that patch 6 was going live and that isn't right.

Sword Coast Legends. I'll DM or you DM.. I don't care. I'm down with that. Bethgael, Dubya75, Zephyr, DarkAmaranthine and all the PC Players group will dig that. If the controls aren't fixed by May 19th or thereabouts, I'm going to join the legion that has left Bioware.

RIGHT!?! I've had to endure this crummy beta testing and no posts or anything about it. They simply don't care. Wow. Someone at the helm must have a vendetta against EA or doesn't know how to effectively lead their teams or resources to make it right. Sorry Bioware... you can't hide behind big, evil EA on this. It's all on you. Get it done, get it right or get lost.

I left after finishing it about mid December (PC version).  Waited a month, saw no particularly hopeful future as far as cleaning up the mess that is the PC version, and uninstalled it and its tag-along Origin.  I glanced this way occassionally, out of morbid curiosity more than anything else, to see what was up with DAI.  Needless to say, I was not surprised to see it in practically the same state it was when I uninstalled it.

Yep, removing this game was definitely the right call.  I won't come back.  I'm done with DAI and the franchise as a whole.  It has ceased to be anything remotely worth spending money on anymore.  I wish Bioware well enough, until the inevitable day when EA decides its time has come, and I hope they receive a quick and painless death.

The more I get back into Rift, the more I see DAI as a poorly done single player clone of a wonderful MMO that has been successful for the last 4 years. I hate to dis Bioware but, really if you like the idea of DAI, the rifts, dragons, race option and gogeous landscapes. The crafting, and all - go play Rift, it is what DAI could have been in so many ways.

Interesting to see that even DarkAmaranth has opted out of drinking the kool-aid. EAWare has actually alienated their most level headed supporter.

Cyan, I'm in. I'm burned out of DM'ing (why I've semi-retired from pnp after 15 yrs of dm'ing) but I'd very much love to play either a Rogue or a Paladin in a game. It'll be interesting to see how well executed this game is, but it looks already far and away beyond the experience of DA:I.

Battlefield 4 was a broken console-to-PC port and it took about a year and a half to fix. This is DICE's Frostbite 3 engine. I'm not waiting 18 months to fix Inquisition. Bioware... to quote AngryJoe, "You done ****ed it up."

RIGHT!?! Well, I'm down to DM. I have all the Forgotten Realms books (gaming books, not novels) and I mean all of them except for a supplement called "Code of the Harpers." So, I have plenty of resources to draw from and my own imagination. It's going to be epic. I got all happy when Bioware took the D&D license and now I'm happy that's in the hands of the same people that made Origins. UNH!

See, I could never really get into using either of the 2-handers. I know it's statistically incorrect, but they always feel so sllllooooooow to me (I'm the same when I warrior/fighter as a PC. rarely use 2-hs in any game, including DA:I and WoW). I do realise, intellectually, that they're doing mega damage, but... I dunno. I'm faster with my 1.5-Hs IRL--or I used to be before I got pudgy and unfit--(they're actually sneaky wee weapons) so it feels all "off".

My Alistair/Steve Valentine obsession has nothing to do with it. Nope. Nada. Nothing. Not even a little bit.

Solution: perma-haste + high dex for not missing any of those loooooong swings. And craft two-handed Starfang (you have many, many powerful one-handed weapons, 2-handers, not so much till you kill Cauthrien) .

By the way, how are you, dear Bethgael? Didn't know you were doing medieval fighting arts or maybe reenactment...I'm considering it myself. How is it?

Thanks for that console  reminder

My brother mentioned that Patch 5 fixed his occasional CTD, and others report greater stability with Patch 6. Hope it works for you, too!

Yeah they did. I tried, I beta tested and, when patch 6 went live w/o a word to the beta testers, then a 24 hour announcement for paid DLC with nothing telling us what was in it ahead of time. That just isn't how it's done. At least not by a game developing company that cares two hoots about it's players.

I'll g back to a place where I am heard when I'm beta testing, where the devs talk to me and even play the game with me (and reward me for killing them in PvP LOL) a place that has community managers on the forum that keep us all updated and, a plase where GMs and devs post and even chat in game with players.

Maybe Bioware needs to take a hint from that. Yes the devs have made mistakes that went live, big ones and, beta testers (like me and many others there) stood beside them and took the heat. We tested it together, we played it together, we all missed a rage quit worthy exploit and, we all took the heat over it. Then we fixed it, laughed together, took out our frustrations in a devs vs testers PvP round up and, sent the fix out with a smile - a happy team that did it right, even when it all went wrong.

Just to show the loyalty Trion can inspire. I left the game for almost two years but never once considered dropping my subscription (that's optional, the game is free to play) The game is worth supporting and, the team behind it is worth supporting and, getting to know.

I was even loyal to EA bough all of the Sims 1, 2 and 3, bough all of Dragon Age but, no more. Too many flops and lack of communication. Now if they want me back, they have to earn my attention and, dollars again and, it won't be easy. All it would have taken is for the Devs to talk to us beyond a mod posting in the beta forums "I'll pass this on." just a word from the actual devs, a notice that the patch we tested was going live, a word as to if they still needed us. We got nothing except a cold shoulder and that is simply wrong.

So anyone wants a similar feel in a better game that has a lot of similar elements - click please. https://rift.trionwo...n=ascend_invite
