from my prospective bioware put just enough of dragon age into inquisition to keep me engaged (under protest), even though I can't really stand most of the game itself. I did manage to stop myself from playing it, that is until I find it's at least palatable (though I think at this point it's unlikely to occur), otherwise I might toss my tv/monitor out my window.

Thanks. After reading it, they are concentrating on multiplayer issues. Sigh. Patch 8 I guess for basic point-to-click movement. May 19th.
I thought you wera in the beta? ... something about nda...

Has there been a game update yet that allows moving with the mouse instead of the keyboard? Or at least a way to keybind the left mouse button so that we can choose to use it for movement? I returned the game for a refund when I realized that I couldn't play it as I could in Origins and DA2, but I will happily buy it again if this is fixed.
My setup is W key for forward movement and the Right Mouse button for navigation.

I realized in that moment that Bioware has lost ALL creativity. It's like they have a book of cliche's handy from which they draw inspiration.
The entire game feels like neutered dog to me. The way it's going, I would not be surprised if the next title is a Disney love story.
Probably thanks to EA....Bioware's balls have dropped off.

@Dubya75 Yes, I felt that way about 70% of the game. There is some good stuff in there but it took too long to get there and then they decided to put a random annoying puzzle in there..

You CAN (mostly) move like you did in DAO and DA2, except there is no ground-click to move.
If you are referring to holding down both mouse buttons to move around, then no, you can't do that.
However, patch 6 has added a fully working Auto Mouse Look option that allows you to use your mouse to change direction whilst holding W to move forward. Like in Skyrim.

Bethany: "Where are we going?"
Carver: "Away from the darkspawn, where else?"
Bethany: "And then where? We can't just wander - aimlessly!"
Mark Darrah: "Excuse me [clears throat], actually, yes we can! Wandering aimlessly sounds like a wonderful idea for our next adventure!"
And the rest is history, as they say.

The want list for next Dragon Age:
1. take out the useless mounts and their collection
2. take out useless Skyhold collectables
3. take out useless ring fetch quests ( Why are so many of Thedas citizens losing their rings? )
4. take out all side quests that involve retrieving X amount of something
5. take out areas that are full of nothing
6. take out all random collection items like mosaic pieces
7. revamp the loot system
8. revamp elf models ( they suck in DAI )
9. No more stupid floor puzzles
10. No more singing (It's a dark fantasy game, not a Disney game)
11. Create a more interesting villain (One that players will absolutely despise and loath)
12. Lot less fantasy cliches
13. Game does not have to be 100 hours long. A meaningful 25-40 hours is more satisfying.
and with that, I think I've got all the hate out of my system for today. ![]()

Yes, there are many moment in DAO that gave me goosebumps. In DAI, sadly, none whatsoever.
I cringe when they start singing "The dawn will come" LOL
The only moment in DAI that ALMOST came close to this was the Adamant sequence
Warden Commander Clarel saying the wardens motto

for sure, I was so embarassed
embarassed for video game characters
It was cheesy as hell let's be honest. Leliana singing even with the weird mouth sync was glorious because the song is magnificent, and really the whole vibe of that moment was unique because the game had this gritty dark feel to it. The "we are doomed" message was felt way more than it was in DAI (which I never felt). Honestly I never felt any urgency in DAI

@line_genrou It probably didn't help that the main villain was so forgettable. I felt no emotion at all . Whatever happened to villains like Irenicus ?

And to be using the same antagonist TWICE. That is probably the lamest, cheapest trick in the book.

Also a full city. I expected a huge Val Royeaux not a bland market. The story involves Chantry, Seekers of Truth and even the Divine. Where is the White Spire? The Grand Cathedral? The Seeker's headquarters? It is one of the largest cities in Thedas...Instead of those boring areas full of nothing, we could have had a proper Val Royeaux having ton of content connecting the main story itself. This is actually another example of how the story focus was thrown away in favour of Skyrim-esque open world.

A decade in Kirkwall was calling for change, so this is what was done. And while Val only received a brief glimpse, I rather liked Redcliffe, Creastwood, and The Lion for more populated areas.

Part of me wishes Pillars of Eternity was less amazing so that I could convince myself Bioware wasn't that bad, seriously, I wished this game wasn't that perfect...
But anyway I just came here to say: Pillars of Eternity is perfect.
It is sad, I can never say "there is no such a thing as perfection" anymore =(
