Any and all integrity has gone down the gurgler. They never had any intention of fixing Inquisition. Now there is a skeleton crew with little PC experience.

I have 4 new dvd coasters to protect my desk while I play Neverwinter AND PoE! And 25.9 GB of recovered disk space.

I saw the writing on the wall long ago, sad, it could have been so much better.

Never trust a guy with glasses, a straggly beard, and a controller in one hand, trying to tell you he want's to restore PC gaming to DAO levels. Pfft.

I am now trying to learn to play a game with attributes, classes and races. With an inventory and a toolbar. Sounds like fun!

Lets not forget that they completely ignored the question as to why theyre so bad at following up stuff on the forums. Mark said he's usually on Twitter but imo thats no excuse for Pierse and the rest of the team to ignore us

He's saying that they'll continue to refine the controls going forward (it's an iterative process). (Not sure why you felt the need to emphasize Mike's name; and it was Mark who responded anyway.)

More interestingly, it sounds like they may have reached the end of the changes that will be made for Inquisition.

Yeah, my bad. There was a quote from Mr Laidlaw directly above the one I quoted and my haven't-had-coffee yet brain conflated the 2 posts. I meant Mr Darrah. :)

I suspect we'll not get mouse movement, now, considering that statement. Although I do believe (not inside info; I just believe) there may be further tweaks to what we already have. Sad, really, though. Blizzard have a "jump" matrix in WoW, as well as high-low-pathing and yet still manage to use the 2-mouse-button click-to-cursor movement, so the theory's not impossible. Must be yet another limitation of Frostbite 3. *shakes fist at EA Games*

@Bethgael  I'm fairly sure it is the frostbite 3 engine. It was never built for tactical RPGs.  The game list so far on FB3 proves that.

Are they honestly going through with ME4 being on Frostbite? Really? They really do never learn.

with frostbite, at this point... it's about how they (the suits at ea, the suits at bw, and the dev team itself) will handle the next game, though as it stands I have little, if any hope in Bioware & EA at this point... as it seems the lot of them have even lost their last bit of common sense.

Just finished my char in PoE and the camp dialogue. Definitely not for console kiddies and it does bring back old style RPG memories. Immersion appears to be easy as you need to focus on listening and reading. The difference between DAI and PoE is equivalent to night and day.

PAGE 666, Just gotta post.  It has been a few months since I looked in, what's the prognosis since the latest two patches?  Is it still borked brokted or did they get it right?

(Edit, had to add that 666 was the hull number of my first sub.)

Oh my... I forgot about the DOS 688 attack sub(1989) game. Had great time sinking enemy vessels..Also  played Tom Clancy's SSN.

Made a spelling correction

I don't see what the addition of jump added to the game to be honest, seems like an addition 'because.'

Or why if they wanted it why jumping couldn't have been added to the Eclipse Engine.

Frostbite seems to have been more trouble than it was worth with the development of Inquisition, just heaping issue upon issue upon issue.

I have started playing Pillars of Eternity and while I certainly have issues with the game they haven't yet added up into something that stops me wanting to play, something Inquisition managed pretty much early on.

I remember when I used to consider Obsidian to be Bioware-lite. At this rate I think I'm going to be seeing Bioware as Obsidian-lite.

So...Will ME4 also have 30fps max choppy cutscene? That would be awful for a Hollywood like scifi...and adding aliens who have noddle arms like the elves in DAI...
Gosh! I'm going back for more POE now.

So..Yesterday,I tried using Xbox controller to see how the combat and the gameplay differs...and well I know this has been said multiple times but, there is just no way this game was developed for PC. It actually hurts a lot when I see BioWare ignoring their most loyal community in favor of consoles, by providing console ports and dumbing down the overall gameplay. Like I have said it before, this new fanbase that BioWare  has acquired are just here because of the hype. They aren't loyal and will leave once a new GTA or a latest exclusive console game arrives. If not all but, most of them. Just venture into the other section of this forums and you'll find many users who do not what tactical style of DA at all, just the constant button mashing...preferring this dumbed down gameplay. But what makes my blood boil is when I am being lied into buying this game by falsely advertising how it was made for PC. 668 pages of this thread says it all. To add to that, BioWare are acting like politicians instead of being honest with us. After robbing 60$ from my wallet, I expect BioWare acknowledging their shortcomings, which is also non-existent. Truly sad.

About the unamendable PC controls, it was incoming. I feel bad for the Beta testers who have being trying their best to improve this game providing constant flickers of hope from time to time towards this PC community...for instance Bethgael. Sadly, it is time we accept the unamendable PC controls since Frostbite 3 was never meant to be implemented in an RPG.

Don't really expect a PC interface + Controls in any of the products BioWare produces in the future. It is all going to be consoley.

I wouldn't be surprised if BioWare implements and abuses QTE sequences in their future titles.

Ok BioWare/EA, do what you want in your next ''console'' port titles, but please no more ''maded by PC gamers for PC gamers'' sh*t..

What?

Is this seriously all he wrote?

I can't believe this

It's so sad it's laughable now how much we got the shaft

the PC community that made Bioware is not on their agenda anymore

What a sad sad moment

That's it, I really think we should move on

Yep, that's the way he talks to fans.

And you are perfectly correct - if this is how the Executive Producer respond to fans, then it is absolutely time to move on.

for the love of god why? for mass effect I can kind of see it, like my glasses are dirty, but I can still make stuff out. but, dragon age? I guess zero punctuation called it right... as the next installment of DA is going to be... Dragon Age IV: Fantasy Commander Shepard.

It's just 24th hour of the game and there are many add-ons made by fans. MAkes you wonder, why Bioware? Why put obstacles in front of the modders?

Where are these "many" mods of which you speak? I was only able to find the current Nexus page, which has a grand total of 2 mods on it, so clearly I'm in the wrong place.

There are some player portraits (hundreds of them really, from Game of Thrones to custom drawings) and voice packs. I'm not sure if it's ok the share the links but you can google them.

Unless it's a FB3 specific requirement, the "Jump feature" was a bad addition.  Besides, I see no difference in using the W+ Right Mouse button (for left-right scenery movement) to reach a zone objective vs a mouse click to move on that same zone point. In any case, with "flat" navmesh surfaces, pathing is not an issue.

A simple design solution is  to permit a mouse click to move on flat surfaces only. The issue, in my POV, is the time required to do a proper job of it. And, if  the studio was running out of time, deep cuts were made and the PC was sacrificed to the god of finance.

It's fan-fuckin-tastic eh?  Exactly what is?

1. The PC GUI?

2. The Inventory?

3. The classes?

4. The fact there is a chest or because it's impossible to fill it or both?

4. The auto stop on enemy detection?

5. The simple party select feature?

6. The story? the crafting? the enchantment selection?

7. The easy flow from the char screen to inventory to equip screen to move items to the chest?

8. The feature that allows us to control  the skill, ability points and spell selection?

9. The party formation ability?

Say, Mike, what does "on a good foot? mean? and for who? 'Cause you always PR Speak and that just bounces off me.  And, oh, about that good-foot maybe DLC. Will that mean proper use of KB+M controls as we know it from  DA:O and DA2?

PS:

BTW, I'm glad you are enjoying PoE. I guess you really like the PC RPG roots eh? I think PoE was made "by PC games devs for PC gamers" but you know all about that..

Godtouched (fire) Cypher there.

Decided to not go elf this time, for once. And hard on this game is...well...hard.

Where do I find a freaking warrior to soak up a little damage? Or maybe the Temple of Eothas is meant to be done at high levels? Because I'm getting my a. kicked. Like a lot.

Words having the meaning ascribed to them in a dictionary in a 2015 video game. I'm a little concerned as a Pc Player (pun, forum rules) to be honest.
