This thread alone should confirm to BioWare that aside of some cogent discussion it is possible to fill 680 pages with whining hyperbole.

Looking at your sign, I feel you're missing an important point in here  : the TOPIC title

PC Community Concerns

I hope it's something large enough you can read from your COUCH playing with your controler on your XBOXONE...

Hmmm, please can you explain us clearly what are your doing here, apart the obvious TROLLING?

You're cute, troll, but cute...

JPR out!

You forgot to mention that much of the 680 pages includes sneering derision meant to encourage Bioware to snap respond to the demands of "true" PC gamers.

It doesn't. Much of it while critical is also constructive and in many cases highlight issues which ought not to have been up for discussion at this level of the DA evolutionary process. Much good technical support has been offered and  technical fault and gameplayanalysis has been both accurate and informative for Bioware's benefit and future game production

Indeed, anyone looking at this thread and only see "sneering derision" clearly lacks an understanding of what we paying customers rightfully expected from the game after paying more for it than any other standard issue game in recent years. In fact, DAI was the most expensive game for me in 2014, but also the most significant waste of my money.

This person must also be blind to the fact that Bioware deliberately LIED to PC fans in order to secure sales. There is just no getting around that fact.

This thread will continue on until either it gets closed down or until Bioware make an OFFICIAL apology for their deceit AND provide the PC EXPERIENCE we already paid for, but have by no means received.

Personally, I would NOT have bought this game had I known that it was not going to be the same PC game quality as the previous titles.

This is because I have no desire whatsoever to play the game with a controller and Bioware promptly issued their video "Made for PC gamers by PC gamers" to CONVINCE me of how much this version of the game was made for me, the PC gamer.

The truth however, is the exact opposite.

And THIS is why this thread exists. So for people to come on here and cry like little school girls because we are oh so nasty to the poor Bioware devs....these people just have absolutely no concept and should therefore be ignored in their ignorance.

A keen point is that this states 'much'; not all, which I agree appears to be fairly accurate. Some see lies and company manipulation, entitled consumer freedom to demand change and apologies, and seem to believe that vocal volume depicts the majority of thought.

This group believes it represents the entirety of the PC Community. They need a name; recommend The Knights Who Say Icky, Icky, Icky, Zip-It....

This thread, as has been pointed out is labelled PC Community Concerns.

It is filled with the concerns of the PC community. What a surprise. The great majority of these concerns are pretty similar so there is a clear enough consensus available here on a list of things that need to be fixed.

None of them have been addressed in any meaningful way months later...this would explain the occasional harsh comment.

If you have no concerns there is no reason for you to be here and certainly no reason to try and belittle the concerns of those that do have them.

Your type of passive aggressive company toady posts are what is not welcome here.

Simple as that.

Who is generalizing now?

Apparently a sneaky little trollichounet...

Personaly, If I represent any group, it is the one for the people that doesn't regret their purchase but are angry about the misinformation and the lack of real kb+m support for this game...

Come on, after more than 25 years of IT analyst/programmer, I will gladly read the explanations why we are not able to remap all mouse controls in the game...

And that's just an example...

I'm no gaming programmer specialist, but I will be able to understand any good explanation, not all this craphorses we were fed on...

"because of the jump feature..."

I don't know if I must laugh or cry...  :crying:

The fanboys are right about the hyperbole. When the developers take a month long break or just stop talking to us out of fear breaking some NDA... YOU FREAKIN' BET THAT THE REAL FANBOYS ARE GOING TO USE HYPERBOLE.

Hyperbole. Hyperbole. Hyperbole.

It's better than walking away and watching your favorite company die of self-preservation and egotism.

Really? It's a way to vent our frustrations and put it in a place where the developers, the shareholders, the executives, the artists, the writers, etc. could see how their efforts are being translated by their most loyal fans.

I'm not holding a sign out in front of Gamestop. I'm not calling the Better Business Bureau. I'm not making creepy comments to the Bioware employees. I'm stating what I can in a direct manner and you can take politically-correct remarks and shove them straight up your colon.

I'm here because there is a pattern of short-changing the customer. REMEMBER THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT?!?

No... not here. It's made clear that they only cater to us when the numbers dip in the red and it will... if it already hasn't. I supported and preordered everything unlike many of the fanboys here. I did it because I wanted to support the people that actually do the work like programming, writing, painting, musicians, etc. Those that actually love their craft.

Those people are gone (WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THAT?) and we're left with half-baked ports that don't launch on release dates because they didn't have time to do (WHATEVER) to make it right. So... please... get off our thread.

By the way, I'm no The Knights Who Say Icky, Icky, Icky, Zip-It.

I'm the Hero of Fereldan. I'm Commander Shepherd. Just like Bioware intended.

Context is important, as the Knights mentioned is a sub-set of the vocal minority of the actual PC Community. But if one believes they should belong to said sub-set, grab a shrubbery and Jump....

The difference between TROLLS (FANBOYS included) and LOYAL CUSTOMERS:

Loyal customers buy based on reputation alone. That's it. When the reputation is tarnished, they stop becoming loyal customers. For some, it takes only one instance. EA and Bioware have put together a total of four back-to-back messes that have generated sincere outrage.

Trolls and fanboys don't get the above statement. They don't. However, it's this group that becomes cannibals and takes it to other media outlets when they get burned. And your turn will come if EA/Bioware stays this course. It's inevitable.

Hyperbole, Hyperbole, Hyperbole.

"Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!!! RAWRUSK!!!"

Despite your best efforts, Elhanan and GithCheater and anyone else...

I still love Bioware despite it not being the old Bioware anymore, but as time goes on...

I will be spending my money elsewhere and talk about Bioware in the past instead of the present.

Word of mouth goes a long way and unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about Bioware going back four successive titles.

I'm not ready to declare Bioware dead because they show life in some aspects with each offering, but each offering has less and EA wants to nickle-and-dime us for each one.

I think the guys at the top of Bioware need to arrange a sitdown with EA executives and succeed where the two doctors (the company founders) failed. That's all a tall order considering who is at the top. Gut check time.

You know the first time I ever compared a video game's storytelling to something literary was Origins. Being an old school pen-and-paper DM of the Forgotten Realms and Dark Sun, I felt completely at home in Fereldan. It had all the best elements of Baldur's Gate (and every title made with that engine) and Neverwinter Nights. It included a toolset so you could fashion whatever you wanted and granted you ownership of the title. The very best voice acting was in Origins and set a level of greatness that many in the industry work VERY HARD to emulate.

On May 20th, I'm firing up Origins for me thirteenth run. I want to hear Morrigan's banter. I want to be seduced by Leliana's singing. I want to feel that urgency to succeed with Sten reminding me every step of the way. I want to hear Alistair become my best friend. I want to hear Zevran's accent and remind him of his greatest failure. I want to hear Oghren get over Branka and the big open sky. I want to hear Shale's plan of ridding Fereldan of pigeons. I want to hear Wynne get bold with Alistair. It never gets old. Why? Execution and the keys to the palace. I made Origins my own with that toolkit. I made it crazy harder by adding another wave of zombies at Redcliff. I gave Aedan Cousland a two-handed sword that was beautiful and glowed a white brilliance. I used mods to change Leliana's appearance and weapon customisation (that made sense) through the Winter Forge.

Don't forget your dog! Try volunteering your Dog as the champion at the Landsmeet. And use the mod that gives you Dog as a full time companion rather than taking up a party slot.

Oh yes... the whole biscuit thing is precious! I have that mod and it was a great addition when you're battling through the Keep before facing down the Archdemon. The Archdemon actually used assets you groomed throughout the adventure. Another point lost in every successive title. War assets? Meaningless. Inquisition... meaningless. Origins... success or failure was using those assets at the end, when it counted the most.

Such content, 100% approval for you being a true representative of PC community, no...actually you are the true representative of whole game community, no wonder you have insane amount of posts.

=====

So don't they post any pre-patch news now? And when did they change the main menu to "Download The Jaw of Hakkon DLC today"?

Is that free? It says "download", No?

I was trying to see how big is the improvment for the new AMD beta drivers..and I saw that DLC main menu..sigh..

I guess the larger the company is, the less community work is needed, the more false advertising is presented.

Some decent folks will make the magic for you

Back to POE and witcher series..hope I can finish them before witcher 3...

Exactly! Bioware approached us, asking "what is the matter and how can we fix it?" and then we tell them what is wrong and they end up treating us like cry-babies.

And then to make matters even worse, they start this utterly ridiculous Beta program because apparently they really value our feedback and want us to help them identify problems so that they can fix it.

So we identify these problems for them, and what do they do? They pick and choose only those feedbacks that suit them and flat-out IGNORE everything else.

Any and all communication from Bioware to us is nothing more than PR talk to make them look like saints.

They are in my book currently THE WORST gaming company in existence.

Yes, where was my dog in DA2 and DA:I?

Next to Alister he was my best bud in Origins.

I can kind of understand not getting one in Inquisition, though still I think Alister owed me one ...

 ... but in DA2?

Hawke & family were from Ferelden so where were were our Mabari?

Did we have to eat them when things got tough?

Why Is Everyone on the Internet So Angry?

These days, online comments "are extraordinarily aggressive, without resolving anything," said Art Markman, a professor of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. "At the end of it you can't possibly feel like anybody heard you. Having a strong emotional experience that doesn't resolve itself in any healthy way can't be a good thing."

If it's so unsatisfying and unhealthy, why do we do it?
