Since I have a multi-mon system(*), I actually copied all of the keybindings into an Excel spreadsheet, the intention being to have the spreadsheet up on the second monitor so that I could see the keystrokes at a glance while playing.  But, like I say above, it's not enough to overcome the fundamental flaws in the UI control that can't be changed there.

(*) I actually got the second monitor, as well as two GTX780-in-SLI-mode cards, in anticipation of this game (or, rather, this game was the one that tipped the scales towards that investment -- and I don't play a lot of other games).  I'm often in a position where I need to monitor e-mail for work, but otherwise have nothing active to do, and the extra monitor take the stress off as I know I won't miss anything important and don't have to keep checking my phone while engaged in a battle or whatever.  That's all just to say, Bioware, that I love the franchise and am willing to go out pretty far out of my way to play the games -- but right now, it's too far, alas.  I'm really glad you've acknowledged in the OP -- please help us PC gamers!

Ah, well, back to playing the recently released IWD:EE while I wait for a patch... that game, I know how to interact with...  :)

Its not concerns...  its your game is broken and you need to fix it.  We paid $60 for something thousands can't access.  This game has honestly put me in a bad mood today.  I haven't been able to enjoy it when I sit aside a time to play it.  I have spend the last 6 hours lagging, crashing, and watching my game glitch out on the screen from no audio, mouse quit working, graphical textures bug out.  I feel like I am finally at a point to were I am considering maybe a refund.

Glad to hear you're working on it, just fyi I'm having severe framedrops both during gameplay and during cutscenes. My pc specs are:

AMD Phenom II X6

8 GB Ram

650 GTX TI -Driver up to date: 344.75

I can't play the game like this, so I will wait until you have fixed it. I'm really looking forward to it

Glad to know you guys are working on this.

Other issues I would like to bring up that some ppl have encountered:

1. Cannot change resolution. Whichever res setting is chosen, there is no change in game.

2. "fullscreen" option does not work. Instead, I have to choose "windowed fullscreen" to get my game running in normal fullscreen.

3. game slows down over time (20-30 min mark or so), especially so if we change the options in game

Not sure if these have to do with vga drivers (which I have the most recent one but still doesnt work) or the game client itself but I guess these need to be brought up somewhere.

Player experience is a top priority for us.

You gonna have to prove it again. Waiting for the fix of all the issues listed.

While I also appreciate a Bioware person finally saying something, I have to agree. If anyone--anyone in the development team with any PC RPG gaming experience had bothered to play with KB&M they would have immediately gone... "well, this is Not Good, guys, we need to fix this."

No autoattack? No click, mouse, character walks to loot? No full no-pause party support, even on "easy" and "normal"? No player-directed mouse binds? C'mon. It's not like you guys are new at this.

The fact that no streams using K&M were shown (and that the first people to get the game to play were console players) leads me to believe 1 of 2 things: someone did, said exactly that, and its clunkiness was deliberately hidden, or, 2, that no-one bothered. DA:O and DA2 were perfectly good PC-played games, and Bio should know better. I can play DA:O for hours and lose all the time in it (I've lost count of how many play throughs!) and yet after an hour of playing DA:I my hands were so sore I stopped.

I could put DA2 on "easy" and never ever pause and just sit back and enjoy the interactive combat. DA:O the only time I put it lower than normal was in the Fade (because it went faster! hehe). Telling us that we will have "fast and interactive combat with choice on PC" is not what is happening with K&M. Dying on the tutorial boss in normal multiple times because the interface is clunky and you can't even see the clicky hand on the rift when you have a gaming laptop in tactical? Priceless.

I expect so much better--and I, like others, would like to know specifics before the refund window closes, because as it stands now, I cannot play (and I am not going to buy a framming controller to play on my PC. "Controller support" =/= "must buy a controller", and should not).

Combined with the choppy play on a well-over-spec rig that runs other load-heavy games perfectly fine (loading takes SEVEN of RAM? Really?) and this is unacceptable, sorry.

I have never, EVER complained about a DA game in any bioware forum before. I've never felt the need. I expected it to be the same this time. Bugs, I expect. This sort of mislead? I do not. From EA, yes. From Bioware, no.

I really don't want to return the game if this will be fixed. I want to play your beautiful game! I want to complete my collection of blond-haired, brown-eyed boys! But, I am also leery of losing my AU$90 (thanks for the Australia tax, btw, guys), so I really need to know before that refund window closes. Please.

You summed it up very well.  I have already returned my game for the refund for many of the reasons you stated.  I am more than happy to buy it again IF and when the PC controls issues are fixed, but as it stands, it is unplayable for me - why own a game that I can't play?  If this is a PR stunt brought about by the bad publicity we PC gamers are giving Bioware, the best thing you can do is return your copy - speak to their wallet and they tend to listen harder.

Please fix the SLI issues (i.e., tree and ground flickering, the fog being completely white and almost impossible to walk thru because you can't see anything).  Also please allow the mouse to be usable when playing in nvidia surround or AMD eyefinity.  Right now you have to disable the Origin overlay to get the mouse to even show up in the game.  With Origin overlay off you can't use the MP features.  However when origin overlay is on the mouse doesn't show up and you can't even click the "click to start" on the opening screen.

Also, a lot of the SLI problems on nvidia hardware are mentioned here. https://forums.gefor...ia-hardware-/1/

Please look into them.  RIght now the game is pretty unplayable (especially with the white fog, as it isn't rendered correctly in SLI).

"Player experience is a top priority for us."

Saying it doesn't make it so.. nor does it make all of us believe you. The state of release of the PC version certainly speaks 100% otherwise to this honeyed claim. Kindly don't spit in our face and tell us it was just rain. Just fix and tune your blasted game, maybe then we'll decide OURSELVES if bioware actually cares about 'player experience being top priority'.

Third time in posting this in hope someone sees it. You can tell I'm sad. :(

I believe this is a new issue. One for multi monitors setups.

1. I'm having all the same gripes as the above however in addition, when I hold the mouse button to pan around, if I move it to far, as if I was to do a 180, the mouse cursor goes off screen to one of the others on either side. It feels all cack handed. The game is set to full screen on the centre monitor at 1920x1200.

2. I've not read all the post here but the other major issue for me is the delay when moving moving and turning my character around with keyboard button presses. We are only talking a 0.5s delay or something but certainly not instant. With a controller it feels fine. Mouse smoothing is set to off.

Any ideas or just wait?

I really wanted to play this with the keyboard controls and it's been my anticipated game since it was announced. I am really disappointed. I have GTAV on PS4 beside me so I may be playing that earlier than expected.

Yep, we see your tiiti's, er your post.

There is clearly issues with multi mon setups, and I don't know if it has something to do with the fullscreen/windowed borderless settings or not.  But expect that to be a priority in the upcoming patch, as 4K gaming was a prevalent buzzword during demo's.

The character movement delay I know less about.  Mostly because I am hoping that eventually, there will be no need for turning/strafing your character because they will reinstate both auto-attack and auto-interact functionality (like it should have been to begin with).

Player experience is a top priority for us. Our goal is to address as many of these as possible in our upcoming patches, including some in our next patch, which is underway. We’ll release further details in the coming days and will continue to monitor your concerns.

Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate your contribution to making Dragon Age: Inquisition a better overall experience.

I hate to add to the cloud of negativity, but...

Why was player experience not considered during testing? Or was testing of the PC version made only using controllers and running the game on Alienware PCs?

Well, good to know at least something has been heard.

Fix crashes (I assume that is "driver support") and PC controls first please

Then remove potion limits and teleporting respawns

And I think it will be fixed enough to be playable more or less.

Thanks for keeping up with the release date, but really, was not worth it.

There are no tooltips???

There are, but they have no info in them.

You hover over an ability it says "Ability Name". And thats it.

No idea what it is doing.

Bioware,

Don't forget the freezes on main screen:

http://forum.bioware...t-title-screen/

It's really a blocker to have to kill the game 10 times before being able to get in.

Bioware, You have let us down in a big way, you have lied to us and you have manipulated us. I never ever thought you could sink to the same level as Ubisoft and Activision, but here we are gain, companies that favor consoles and provide the PC community with a big fat middle finger.

Please don't tell us you'll look into this, It will never happen and I'll tell you why. You could have known this from the FIRST second you started work on Dragon Age inquisition, during the design phase. You blatantly chose for console from moment one, this is obvious, so don't be hypocrites and lie to us even more than you already did.

DA:O was game of the ****** year, the only thing YOU had to do for this iteration was polish up the graphics and animations, add a jump button and make the world bigger.

Thanks for letting us know were your 'allegiances' lie, just stop producing games for PC if you are just going to port them over this badly. Thank god there are still companies left like robertsspaceindustries that develop games for PC.

My 2 Cents

I preordered the game but won't be able to play until December, at the earliest. I am very concerned about all I'm reading regarding the PC controls, especially that I cannot use my mouse to move my character or navigate combat. I am a mouse-centric PC player and I expect to be able to play the game using point and click as I did in previous DA titles. If I cannot do this, and this isn't something that I can expect in a patch at least, then I need to return my PC version for a refund.

I need to know if I can play this game using point and click, because if I cannot, it is not playable.

I've pretty much played the prologue, and so far no crashes (Touch wood and all that), whilst I wouldn't say the game is unplayable, it certainly hasn't 'clicked' yet.

Half the time in combat I have no idea what is going on, it seems I'm just targeting an enemy and holding down the mouse button until it's dead, with an occasion spell thrown when available. I figured I play on normal until I get a feel for it, so I'm progressing OK.

Some things I suspect are never going to be fixed like the old tactics from Origins and perfected in DA2. Yes honestly, DA2 wasn't all bad, the programmable tactics system was damn near flawless! Didn't need to be all but scrapped - really.

The world is beautiful, and I want to explore it, and see everything that's been created, I'll push forward and hopefully come up with some meaningful contributions. For now, I hope the looting system/interacting with the world problems can be fixed. I right click on something, why can't my inquisitor who's off to save the world or something walk over and do it after I've given the command?
