I had intended to do that a few weeks ago. I only managed to get three hours into Inquisition before I had to give up. I had wanted to love it as much as I had loved the previous games, alas, it was not meant to be. I'll give it another chance sometime, however, I'm now replaying the first two Witcher games in preparation for Wild Hunt. Surely CDProjektRed won't let us down, right? Right?
Well, I feel for you and everybody else that can't get into DAI. I don't really understand but, yes, I should perhaps be a bit more understanding.=)
As for the Witcher it will probably be great. I have the first to games but haven't got into them yet. W1 has some strange controls but I got them under control so to speak. It will be fine and an interesting storyline even if it would be a little more interesting from a rpg point of view to be able to make your own character.

I just started Witcher 1 the other day. I thought the controls were weird, too, until I realized they used the same engine as NWN. I just went back into my memory banks and remembered how I played that game, and it made the controls quite a bit easier for me.
is it me or cant we start up the game on the pc? i can start up Origin and then it updated DAI but it wont start.

Cool, is it still possible to get NWN for PC? Back then I only played pen and paper RPGs. But I probably shouldn't elongate my backlist of games further :-O.

Yeah, GOG.com has NWN Diamond for like $10. It goes on sale every few months.

Have just checked. It startes, but slower as before.

i cant start it at all after the patch \;(
There's no notice anywhere on the forum that I can find but Orgin has demanded I download an update for DAI at 1:25 CDT US.
I know my game is up to date since I repaired this morning in anticipation of the new DLC release. Is this the infamous Patch 7?

Unclear, since BioWare won't talk to us.
I'm speculating that Black Emporium is in Patch 7, and Dragonslayer is a separate DLC.
So, where is any changelog for patch 7?? They are ashamed to show it to us? ![]()

I think I someone from Bioware said BE was scheduled for some time May.
Does PC have new patch that came out yesterday-today? Cause I had one in PS3 but can't find any patch notes anywhere nor much discussion about it.

May 5th is the date they announced outside of the forum:

If it's part of a patch, today would be a good day to list the patch notes.

We're trying to figure that out in the absence of any communication from BioWare.

I don't think what I got was Black Emporium patch though, I think that's supposed to become on 5th for everyone? I think this is some seperate patch, but I can't figure out what it is for. But I wonder if it's patch for PC as well or maybe only old gen consoles?
Does anyone know a way to resolve the pop-in/render distance issues I'm getting? It's killing me having to watch the Mountains, Trees and certain shadows just appearing in the distance. I've had this problem since patch 2.
Try running the Repair Game function.is it me or cant we start up the game on the pc? i can start up Origin and then it updated DAI but it wont start.
The Black Emporium and Dragonslayer expansion will both be separate DLC packs available tomorrow (or whenever the console stores do their updates). Today's patch is Patch 7 (required for tomorrow's DLC), which has been in beta for the past month along with Dragonslayer. If it's part of a patch, today would be a good day to list the patch notes.

my wife just replayed it. Only issue on her modern system was the lack of screen lock on multi monitor. Every time she tried to use edge scroll on the right, the mouse just left the screen and went to her other monitor. She eventually switch her config to have the computer think the 2nd monitor was up (who ever edge scrolls up?). Other issue was that when clicking outside the game (or another program gaining focus) the game would minimize and upon returning, the background sound would be garbled.
Is it 5th May already?
In some countries yes, plus change log is up.. http://blog.bioware....-patch-7-notes/
Nice ''fixes'', too bad ''PC interface'' still looks like s*** and it still has ''toolbar'' locked ![]()
Not seeing a "fixed tactical camera so it's finally up to PC standards", another few months on the dusty shelf it is then.
Just patched and now am having horrendous framerate issues - much worse than before, dropping to actual 0 (instead of 5 or 6). Is it just me?

Also checked. YEah it takes forever to start up now. But it does start.

No. Patch 7 is out and it does not contain the BE, which will be a separate download.
