Thanks @Shinian.
I'm guessing that Bioware probably views this thread as a Blight that they wish would magically disappear... (e.g. detracts away from the GOTY awards, excellent sales & otherwise glowing reviews)
Frankly, I'd appreciate a simple statement from Bioware indicating which PC issues they plan on fixing and which they won't fix (e.g. controls) - with corresponding rationale & apologies. It's quite obvious that Bioware has failed to manage expectations within the PC community and hasn't been appropriately responsive or communicative. As with the Twitter responses, the truth would go a long way to alleviating some of the vitriol & resentment towards the game / developer and allow us to move on accordingly.
I'm a Console & PC gamer and I elected to buy DA:I on PC because of the RTS genre & amazing DA:2 KB+M controls (before discovering this thread) - I'm such an idiot : p. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Bioware could screw up the KB+M controls after it's acclaimed 20 year history of making RPGs. It's like McDonald's somehow managing to screw up their french fries!
Now I need to decide whether an Xbox 360 Controller for PC is a worthwhile investment or to abandon the game altogether. I actually haven't installed or played DA:I yet because I was hoping my virgin experience would be unspoiled by bugs & control issues - also, I'm busy with Skyrim atm : ).
Part of the problem with feedback is everyone wants something different. They can't please everyone. Their compromise seems to be to add walk toggle (should have been in the game from the start) and a better zoom in tac cam mode. I'd like them to remove tac cam mode altogether and make the game work like in Origins, others, like Elhanan like tac cam the way it is but would prefer other changes, like more abilities on the hotbar.
Problem with any of these big changes is someone else will be unhappy, and as Sartoz comments above, even small changes can cause big problems in other areas.
For what it's worth aside from game crashing errors, the game is playable, if clunky, on a PC. Ranged classes are less clunky than melee. Personally I enjoyed the story, and played on Normal to get through most of the combat quickly.
The inventory and crafting screens are an abomination in the eyes of the Maker, however.
