gaming is not a priority for me. i use PC for work. i don't own a gaming mouse and i don't plan to. as i don't plan to ever own controller. your logic is flawed

heh! Then you fall back into the same camp with myself, as I prefer a basic KB&M which works fine for DAI.

Logic has nothing to do with it. I took advantage of my hardware to overcome some keybind issues, and a lot of people that could, did not, and then complained about it for months. You also don't need to have a "gaming" mouse to have multiple buttons, most middle of the road mice have at least 1 or 2 thumb buttons, which can be programmed.

And I agree with you, I really didn't have any problems with the controls, they have always worked fine for me. I never did figure out why there was a ton of kbm complaints, to be honest.

It's ironic how a lot of people forgot that they can do that, and then spent months moaning about how bad the controls are.

There's several ways to bypass unbindable controls, even without hardware.

The point, however, is that those methods should not be necessary.

GamerMD83 has a couple of in-game videos of W3.

Video 1 is from the start of the game to combat tutorial.

Video 2 is a continuation but quickly shows how NPC interactions/quests are done. ... W3 seems to be miles ahead of DAI regarding NPC interactions.

Note that GamerMD83 uses a PS4 and she's learning how to use the W3 controls.... She also read some of the W3 books and is surprised that the game has almost direct content from them.

source: https://www.youtube.com/user/gamermd83

Attn: Ehanan

The intro does contain some nudity as he's taking a bath in the tub... wether you can skip it I don't know.

Already watched her intro. But as a fan of her vids, already knew that she does not use (or own?) a PC.

you were replying to a post about Poland.

You should try reading that post again. The poster I answered suggested that Poland be the exception to azerty in Europe.

Well, I suppose she must own one, to post to youtube at least :) But that's a nitpick. I'd like to see s witcher lets play on PC, using M&KB controls as well.

Here's a mouse and keyboard playthrough, it looks like.

I almost spit out my drink when I read that azerty is the norm in Europe. Pretty much every keyboard here that I've seen is some type type of qwerty. I've never actually seen a qwertz keyboard in Europe, but I have to admit I haven't looked closely at the keyboards everywhere I've been (like Poland).

In Denmark we use qwerty but with three extra letters and some other minor changes. All the regular letters are in their usual place.

It doesn't actually matter all that much what is printed on the keys, as long as they are all there. It's incredibly easy to get used to a layout without even looking. I switch between Danish and US depending on what I'm doing. US for programming (symbols are in a less awkward position), Danish for writing in Danish.

Here in Canada we sometimes get a French keyboard at work. How do you write programs when keys like ; or / are remapped to French accented characters? It's still qwerty though

Just Google keyboard layouts! You'll be very surprised just how many there are.

Particularly Asian layouts. But it was still a serious mistake to ignore left handed gamers and those with disabilities.

It will be fixed quickly I think, not like DAI.

Was not aware that DAI had hardcoded controls. But am guessing that there are still some problems unfixed that are still considered bugs (eg Point & Click). This one I do not believe will happen, but there is always hope.

My lowly 7770 Radeon graphics card can play TW3 which surprised me as the min. is a Radeon 7870. I did tweak some of the G options. Visuals are good to stunning and use of the horse makes sense here. NPC interaction has many cut scenes but I am playing in Story Mode and 30FPS is locked in at 1920 x 1080. No stuttering!

Elhanan won't like this game because he prefers DAI with less cut scenes.

Combat requires you to intimately know (muscle memory) the varied key controls and there are a few to learn. Mouse use is also a must for parrying, attacking etc. My preference is the DA2 combat keyboard controls... suites my slow fingering. Also, I need to practice combat controls... too many for my liking. Lucky for me, I can re-bind many keys and keys to mouse.

And folks, the story told is gritty, interesting, unwashed, unscrubbed, unsanitized, racist, violent and downright told like it is in 1272 Europe. BTW, the use of a horse makes sense here.

So far, I am pleased with my purchase.

Elhanan is currently replaying ME3, which of course has s some of the longer and most used cut-scenes in games. Still a great game, but one that has me getting a drink in the kitchen, fetching a snack, etc during some of these examples. Well, the ones w/o interrupts anyway.

And I have seen and read enough to know that TW3 is a beautiful game, but one that apparently chooses to frequently use repellent language, and includes enough sexual material to have the adolescents giggling on the forums (or in a Conan vid). As much as I enjoy riding a virtual horse across a well made land, I prefer to have environs included worth stopping and exploring in them. And a Pause feature would be handy to prevent all the re-loads.

Sort of; here are a couple of like articles found on DAI:

http://www.destructo...re-289467.phtml

These have more opinions that the previous article, but are seemingly from a different author.

Neither article posted by Elhanan or myself, abovr, mention the inventory adn crafting. Are you happy with this screens in TW3? Do they feel made for M&KB?

No I better off playing some game that have real kb+m controls...

JPR out

I seem to be able to change the keyboard layout on my Windows on the fly from a pulldown menu, also on my Mac. Can change between any keyboard layout I want, qwerty, azerty, ... why can't you?

That being said, it's goddam stupid of CDPR to release the game with non-rebindable keys. Also their nvidia buttkissing is pathetic.

Yeah, cut-scenes and rpg-s dont really match. Its just ancient and not cool. All that talk and talk, just give me some action and visuals, damn! Im glad Laidlaw and Darrah got it at last and made the necessary changes to Dragon Age. Now the awesomeness keeps flowing in it while Witcher bores you to death with all that roleplaying.

At the least, one is still playing a game; not watching an interactive flic with occasional input like the ME3 Dark Horse Comic DLC. While this is fine for this origin purpose, myself and others have been asking for a return to gameplay.

Exactly, shoot first, dont ask later, collect stuff. Inquisition demonstrates how an rpg is done properly. Size and visuals matter.

I also loved the old MDK times. That´s what you meant, right?
