I also loved the old MDK times. That´s what you meant, right?
Do not have that title, but NWN1 onward seemed to add more and more cut-scenes, and some of us have lobbied for less for some time now.

Neither article posted by Elhanan or myself, abovr, mention the inventory adn crafting. Are you happy with this screens in TW3? Do they feel made for M&KB?
Inventory is in a grid, limited by weight.
Weight it upgradable by saddle bags.
inventory is divided into equipment, usables, alchemy/quest/junk
click to access each tab, space to buy sell, r to drop.
in equipment hold shift and mouseover to compare inventory item with currently equipped.
worse thing about inventory is sorting/finding stuff: it is hard to tell how much of an item you have s no apparent sort order, even after pressing f to sort.
Crafting. Potions/bombs etc. you get recipe to learn it, craft it once with the required materials, once first crafted, restocked every mediation provided you have suitable alcohol in inventory.
Equipment: need armourer make armour, blacksmith/swordsmiths do weapons. crafts to their level of expertise.
In crafting menu it tells you whether they can make use of a crafting diagram you have obtained.
Components can be gather in wild, or made by dismantling other items (at the crafter). If you are missing something, you can change tab to the shop/dismantling and back without backing out.
Relative stats are shown so you know whether to bother to create or not.

In NWN and before gameplay was interrupted by freezing the game and reading lines of dialogue. I don´t see how the presentation of that segment through cut-scenes is any more or less intrusive to the gameplay section. I guess it´s a matter of taste. But I don´t see that return.

I seem to be able to change the keyboard layout on my Windows on the fly from a pulldown menu, also on my Mac. Can change between any keyboard layout I want, qwerty, azerty, ... why can't you?
That being said, it's goddam stupid of CDPR to release the game with non-rebindable keys. Also their nvidia buttkissing is pathetic.
I was a bit surprised at the Nvidia support but I am going to assume there was a financial benefit for doing so. I wish such preferences were negligible. It reminds me too much of the days of 3DFX.
In NWN1, the cut-scenes are fairly short; more used as tool to hlp tell a story, as opposed to becoming the story itself. In ME3, there are scenes that last lengthy minutes; enough time to go out for a snack, restroom break, etc. if one has viewed the scenes often enough. But even a silent dialogue is still RP'ing the character's and Player's choices; not having them handed to them.
Would you click through BG2´s dialogue (not reading/flying over) to get to the next fight or exploration part?

Just came here to say that Witcher 3 is awesome
Bye bye
I personally enjoyed NWN2 mask of the betrayer way of storytelling in comparison to NWN 1
Not me. I pick the best answer for that character, and consider other options as things I might want to say, but shouldn't.
But do you take the time to read the text beforehand? Is reading the dialogue possibly more engaging for you than watching it acted out?
You're not participating in the cutscene. You participate when you have input. I do the same in ME3 these days, while the scene with the maw and the destroyer on Tuchanka is very cool I use that time to get a coke.
Listening to what a person is saying during a conversation you're having is not the same as listening to what a person is saying during a lecture when you're not supposed to talk.

Did you get a coke during your first lecture?

I watched the video the first few times back in 2012, as opposed to parts with player participation. Those keep me involved every time I play. If I get to participate in what's happening I find that more involving than if I don't have any input.

I just came by to say the very same thing. plays like a song, silky smooth. Geralt looks quite fetching & gameplay is whatever you choose.
my sadness from crashy DA:I has turned to true love with another. for anyone with game-breaking issues, come over to the dark side.

Some tried, but the hardcoded key controls made gameplay a bit too problematic. And there are enough recent articles on TW3 crashes to know that DAI is not alone.
As for myself, world looks terrific, but the culture within is too repellent for personal enjoyment; even the mini-game. Will wait on SkyWind.
Yeah, I can play W3 more or less the same as DAI in "action-mode". I have no time for it now because of DAI awesomeness =). Geralts voice however, it is like a b-action movie cliche.

Exactly, fortunately Inquisition's story and antagonist is very interesting, no cliches at all. I hope Bioware keeps the cliches away in the next DA too while Geralt's voice is offputing and gives me a real bad feeling.
I feel like have to stop playing my current mmorpg and join you enjoying the awesomeness in Inquisition, to play, farm, lvl the same way but alone again. **** Witcher's talking, cut-scenes and voice, give me instant grind, now!
suggestion for a very easy and small patch/update to the game for those of us who are still experiencing crashes due to TDRs.
Increase the amount of time the game needs to get a response from the server to something like one or two whole seconds.

Game change requests ------
1.) Allow romances to continue even after Corphieus is defeated rather than just a "Well met." and nothing else.
a.) I want to be able to come back to Skyhold after days or weeks of combat or foraging and be comforted by
the character I have been romantic with....
b.) Allow the romance to develope into a formal relationship with "courting" and maybe as much as wedding on
completing a majority of the quests.....
2.) Make Vivienne romanceable ! (maybe later in the game after getting (or not getting) the griffon heart or something.

My only experience with the game is in youtube videos, but from what I saw Ciri's voice was much better. We should have been able to play as her

I am keeping away from YT-videos until I have come sufficiently far in the story =).

I would too, if I was getting the game any time soon. ![]()
I love Geralt's voice. Gives him character LOL
It's kind of funny sometimes too, with his "Hm-huh" reminds me of his voice acting in the first game
Everyone else sounds great, real country people, illiterate peasants talking. Love their looks too. If you're gonna make a game with medieval elements, people should LOOK medieval, haircuts, clothes and all. This is one of my favorites things in this franchise.
My first day playing I was horse riding and the weather started to change, the winds strong blowing trees and foliage, the sky turned almost black, my jaw dropped at how beautiful it was.
