the stuff in () are mine....
--I'm afraid it would be a disservice to both the community and our developers if I were to provide incomplete information (i can't tell whats in the patch)
--I absolutely recognize the concerns of this community (this DOES NOT mean he agree with us)
--If that information was ready it'd be communicated. Unfortunately it's not. I've sat in on and contributed to discussions for the PC issues for upcoming patches (doubling down on the "i can't tell whats in the patch")
--As a PC gamer, the M&KB controls for DAI aren't a huge issue for me (right here, he is obviously saying there is NO problem with the game...its you)
--Walk toggle is something that has come up quite a bit, and from what I hear has the advantage of being a low cost change to boot. I know it's been discussed. (horrible hint!!! if it cost money to fix or change...i will let you finish this one....)
--My statement is not official policy, but rather that the PC controls as they stand do work for some people(doubling down on the game is perfect...the problem its you)
--IMO my preference for DAI is more fueled by the hours I put in playing with the controller by virtue of the platforms the game was released on. (interesting revelation...obviously again. not the best person to be talking about kb+mouse)
--It's perfectly reasonable to request it. I can pass it along as feedback for sure.I'm not certain of how "doable" but that's a function of opportunity cost a lot of the time. (this one was about farther zooming....you should know now this one ITS NOT COMING)
--There are definitely patches in the works. If there wasn't I probably would have opted to do something else this evening than taunt people with faux attention with no plans to actually make an effort to address issues. :\ (this one is for the eye of the beholder)
--Unfortunately I wouldn't expect the mod tools situation to change.(Yes people, drop the modding thing already)
--It's a fair criticism. M&KB Controls aren't good enough for you(didn't he just doubled down on "its your problem not the game's" already?)
--This is definitely a serious issue and is being investigated and is considered critical/high priority; it affects all platforms too I believe. (this is about a certain bug "flags non-Human PCs as being human" .....WOAH WAIT A MINUTE! didnt you just say discussing patch items could be bad because of the "incomplete information" and all that??? WTH!)
--In what ways is WASD not responsive enough? The inertia of starting moving? I'm not sure why would hold LMB+RMB alleviate this when at first glance it seems like it wouldn't be much different than holding LMB+RMB = holding W. (so, they came up with the faulty system of combat, where you have to spam a keyb key to attack and he cant see why moving with the mouse intead of 'W' makes any difference....)
and this is pretty much what we had from Allan with his discussions with Broga (his BFF or something) and some other people
No apologies...what for right? they havent done anything wrong; as things goes today, its only your fault if you fall for the lies(not that Bioware lied...oh no...)
Guys, have some backbone! THIS IS YOUR GAME! other than those driver issues and explicit issues with quests and stuff like that, THERE IS NO GOING TO BE ANY CHANGES WHATSOEVER....so, either play the game like it is or MOVE ON(dont forget about your reimburstment)....i know i already did ![]()
peace out...good luck ![]()

It's a fair criticism. M&KB Controls aren't good enough for you, and it's valid to say "hey maybe you should have spent a bit more time on this across the board, don't you think :|?"
I don't know if you'll see this question but I would genuinely appreciate an answer.
Do you genuinely believe that the keyboard and mouse controls in Inquisition are as good and as intuitive as in Origins and DAII.
I already know what you are going to say, you were going for a different type of game here and I don't have a problem with that, yet you seem to have wanted to reinvent the wheel when it was perfectly fine being round.

im sure you can define "Cost" whatever way you want...money its at the end what "cost" ALWAYS means
but mind me now...the key word here is not "cost" but "low" or "high"

I assume you got those numbers from that vgchartz site?
1. Those are only US sales.
2. Those are only physical copies. Personally I don't know a single pc gamer that buys physical versions of their games anymore.
3. That site has always been useless and way off mark in my experience. Their sales numbers never seem to correlate with official numbers whenever they're released.
Soon as I discovered digital download and places like Steam where I can store copies of bought games, (same idea as Origin) I stopped buying the boxes, after years of gaming it gets a bit much, all those boxes, lol.

And then there's always the problem of pulling out the box to dust off an old game you haven't played for a while only to discover the "play" disc is missing x o lolSoon as I discovered digital download and places like Steam where I can store copies of bought games, (same idea as Origin) I stopped buying the boxes, after years of gaming it gets a bit much, all those boxes, lol.

The tactical camera and zooming-out-goes-to-tac-cam is my other compaint. Also the inventory is a mess but i can deal with that. But the mouse refusing to drive instead hack away at air is my main one.

Can I ask a question? was Dragon Age Inquisition the only game you own and now that you supposedly got it refunded you don't have anything better to do than sit on these forums and make deconstructive posts and jabs at Bioware? This is a thread to post our issues about the PC version of the game so that they can be looked into, not your personal Anti-Bioware propaganda thread
The majority of our problems stem from EA's pressure to hit a release date, anyway. Ever notice how major releases of the year hit in November? It's not coincidental

I'm heading to bed now unfortunately, but if you could please file this off at Answers HQ here it'd help. It's likely an issue affecting all platforms and those guys help call out issues through helping with triage/prioritizing tasks.
Thanks.
Thank you for answering our questions in detail and I hope you get some much needed rest through the holiday. ![]()

To top that off, Blizzard's response when things go wrong is 4 steps up. WoD released a week before DA:I. I was sitting in the Blasted Lands, counting down until midnight PST (6pm my time) and launch. It went 15 minutes early, and even from Australia, not on the new Oceanic-side servers (I'm on a high pop server, as well). Smooth as butter. Thrown back to Pandaria a couple of times when the WoD world server went down, launched back in fine. They'd learned from the EU launch the day before: it had some issues that were not, at that time, repeated.
Then after playing for a while I went to bed (midnight my time). By the time I awoke, all hells had broken loose. On top of everyone (3 million new subscribers, apparently) trying to get in on a Friday, they had a DDoS attack (that later turned out to be from China), that caused absolute pandemonium. Subbers could not get in, lines were long, and the only way to handle the DDoS was to turn down the number of allowed people on servers, which they did (which required a hard maintenance--and another one when they turned t back up again). Chaos.
It had settled down by Monday US time (the attacks stopped), but player dissatisfaction--high would be an understatement. Blizz/Activision gave everyone who was subbed at launch--whether they tried to play or not--a full week's free play time to make up for the 3 days of chaos. Effectively, every single player of the game was given a refund on their lost weekend whether they'd intended, or tried, to play the game or not.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of Blizzardivision (I liked the old Diablos--D3 was a stain on... never mind), but the one thing they do have is Customer Relations down. It wasn't entirely their fault, but they stoned up to it anyhow (something that is, indeed, a huge weakness for EA games. It's always someone else's problem).
Bio could take a leaf.
It's far easier for Blizzard to do this given their revenue stream. Proportionally it would be like Bioware giving every gamer back $1.

Maybe I should just stop playing and wait for the patch, as the looting problems and lack of auto-attacks are just ruining the game for me personally.
Unfortunately that's exactly what I've done. I have still been creating characters in hopes of that happening.

All i honestly want from playing this game is a walk/jog/run toggle. Until then I don't feel like I can continue. I really hope it gets implemented soon.

I have that same issue, of the messing up of part of the screen for a second. I'm also using a Crossfired Radeon R9 290X, and play using Mantle, but I'm using an Intel i7.It happens at 00:50 in the video, link below!
I only got it during cutscenes so far, and not even all the time, and when I've been playing for a while usually. The cards and ambient temperature aren't too hot at those times, and downclocking the memory clocks of my cards to 1300MHz didn't solve the issue.
It's possible that the Mantle code isn't entirely optimized yet, since for some reason it uses too much VRAM at 4K compared to DX11, aside from the longer load times.
About the shimmering moon: I haven't gotten that far yet: but did you deactivate the setting 'Enable surface format optimizations' in the Catalyst Control Center? Unchecking that option got rid of the shimmering distant trees in my case, so it might help.

If you get over the first hurdle and can actully play the game, it isn't half-bad... ( IMO ) There are some issues to the game versus the previous installments but that is for personal taste to decide. I want to like this game but the fast travel crashes and instability are immersion breaking.
Patch/Fix --- I'll even upgrade the current ratings I've given for the PC Version.
Just a bad start. There is time to rebound.

WOW LOL..i even called it a cheap shot myself....
how is me telling you "This is your game, either play it or move on" a negative remark?
the only thing that happened here is I already accepted the fact they aren't going to change their game "design" for anyone of us; fix crashes or other in-game issues? yes they will do that...for the Bioware dev team, they created the perfect game and is more than obvious in those statements from Allan
By man, by all mean, stay living in your fantasy land and begging them to change things around....
p.s Sabor: EA didn't lie to me....Bioware did....
now, please ignore ![]()
