Garrus is my bro. His personality mirrors my Shepard's: he wants justice.

 Definitely Garrus and Wrex.

All of the others were okay.  I like Kaiden the most of the ones I didn't say, Tali and Liara were both pretty good.  As for the non-group characters, Anderson, Udina, and Joker were all good.

I killed Ashley.  I hated Ashley.  Stop calling me Skipper, is that supposed to be cute or something?  Skipper is a bad pet name and I'm her superior officer.  Where is the chat option for, STOP CALLING ME SKIPPER YOU DUMB *****!

I'm probably going to be flamed into eternity for this, but i'm gonna say Ashley. I'm rather sad that she isn't in ME2. Its rare to find a strong female character who isn't a glorified sex object, let alone a christian game character. It was a daring piece of character writing / development. pretty cool stuff. Ok, so either her or Tali... my shotgun toting quarian friend was rather awesome and intriguing. Liara was too "oh woe is me i can has feebles!" for my taste.

Tali was my favorite.

Out of all the Females in the Squad in ME1:

-Ashley wasn't very Lady like

-Liara was a bit too Nerdy Awkward for my taste.

-Tali was channeling the really cool nerd girl who's a bit shy and doesn't know hot hot she really is.

My favorites were Tali and Liara. Probably Liara because she was a romance option, but if Tali had been one also Im guessing she would've been my favorite. Both were great, but Tali I think had more depth, she was just awesome. Of course, its also important that Liara is beautiful, and while Tali 'might' be beautiful also I don't know what she looks like, so Liara gets the nod on that at least for the time being. Overall though, since you're allowed to have two in your party at all times I go with both. If they ever both become romance options for my FemShep however, it'll probably be the hardest choice in the game .

 My favorite character was Liara but there were so many with so much potential.  I am looking forward to Tali in ME2 and I hope to see Shiala and Sha'ira again many many times.

Probably Tali, with Liara a close second. I loves me the alien ladies. XD I'm a big fan of Wrex's grim, resigned yet honourable outlook on life too.

On my first playthrough I was a male Shepard and I was really quite turned off by Ashley's constant xenophobia, but on my second playthrough as a female Shepard, she actually opens up to you a lot more and it made me appreciate her much more as a person.

Kaidan was my favorite.



He was calm, quiet, and highly disciplined. He was there for Shepard and was very aware of the trouble the Council was giving him.



And I found him extremely useful in battle; he was a great mix of biotics and tech.

If I was forced at gunpoint to pick one, I'd eventually, probably go for Garrus. For side quest character i'll pick Gianna Parasini. She owes me a beer.

Non-Squad members, my favourites would be:

Barla Von: Some of the lines he says make me smile, and respect that character.
Udina: That's right.

Squad members - I like all of them to some extent.
