There are two quarries in the western approach right near each other. I think in the southwest-ish area if I remember correctly. They also are not labeled on the map at all, but one of them is also a landmark so there is that, I guess.

ATTENTION This site currently has about 7 maps showing where quarries and logging stands are. More than enough to do all of the major renovations for Skyhold.

Storm Coast resources: 1 logging stand (green star) behind the hessarian camp, 1 quarry (black star) to the southeast.
Update: there's also a Prophet's Laurel plant inside the southeasternmost cave

I'm having a hard time finding the quarry on that map of the storm coast. I've been searching all over that area.
I've decided I'm just getting the perk that adds it all to my map.

There's a quarry near the Dragon in Crestwood, to the right of it if you're looking at it head on while on its perch.

I believe it's supposed to be the black star on that map. But if I remember correctly, the quarry is actually about three quarters of an inch higher than the black star on that map, on the right side of the river.

So, just a thought but if you think "where to find logging stands and quarries" is a spoiler... then oh, I don't know... don't click on it?
If I were to make a thread "Where can I find elfroot" you really think that's a spoiler? Come on, people. I'm very much someone who goes off on people posting spoilers in General chat of MMOs (people are ridiculous about it in SwtOR... people will be discussing the Jedi Knight or such's end game on Tatooine with no regard for new players) but here... as I said, I don't think where to find logging stands is spoilers, but if you really think it is, just don't click on this thread or any like it.
But hey, if you REALLY think "omg spoilers" and can't just ignore the thread then make use of the report button and see if the moderators agree with you or not (be sure to ask the to move it, not delete it entirely though please)

Sorry, I didnt mean to ofend you.
But there is a couple of maps here revealing a lot of information, so, of course, is a spoiler thread now even if the OP didnt created it with that intend.

Not sure about the Hinterlands, but I found one in the western approach. After the venatori way point there are 3 question marks. The logging stand is between those two points in a ravine.

The other three, I found in the Western Approach. The first can be found right off the bat by traveling south of Lost Spring Canyon Camp. The quarry is atop a wooden structure across from the Sand Rick Mines.
The second quarry can only be found after you finish "The Trouble with Darkspawn" Quest, which unlocks the northeastern region. Once you do, the quarry is located in an exposed mineshaft located near the ocularum in that area, both are found on a ridge directly across from Echoback Fort.
The final quarry is located in the southern region, in an area called Shimmer Stone Mine. In the center there is a large pit, the quarry is located at the bottom of the first flight of stairs.
Hope that helps.
