Unfortunately it has to do with a major spoiler. I'll try to be as discrete as possible, but this bug causes your Inquisitor's voice to change for the rest of the game. You'll go from English to America, or vise versa.

After you finish the first Act of the game, you'll get to a point where you will meet somebody and you have the option to use their default face, or customize their face first before you meet em. DO NOT choose customize. This will cause your Inquisitor's voice to change. Reloading your save won't fix it either, unless you reload a save previous to when you meet said person. I have experienced this bug as well as many others.

Just a fair warning.

Is it just the voice change? No other bug with it?

I think it's on all platforms.

However, I disagree with the OP's assessment of this being "gamebreaking."  A gamebreaking bug is, by definition, one that renders the game completely and utterly unplayable with no hope of a relatively easy workaround - think the issues that Skyrim had on PS3 once save files and time played reached a certain size (before patch)...or the most recent SimCity at launch when no one could get on to servers that were REQUIRED to play the game.

This is a highly annoying bug that needs to be fixed ASAP to maintain player immersion in the world, but seeing as how, except for voice issues, the game is still perfectly playable, is definitely NOT what I would consider a game breaker.

This may actually work for me.  I've decided I am not fond of my voice choice.  Sounds too much like a voice actress from Skyrim.  I hope I get to this part of the game before they patch it.

It is not game breaking but if it happens to me, I'll probably stop playing the game altogether until there is a permanent fix for it.

Thanks for the heads-up, OP.

According to these kind of posts, way too many cosmetic bugs have been seen so far... I hope we can see a patch in the very near future. Thanks for letting us know mate.

The number of cosmetic bugs known so far is about average for the gaming industry these days.  There will be patches.  Still, though - one as obvious as a voice change probably should have been caught by whichever QA team checked that part of the game.  It isn't like it's hard to miss.  That being said...a fix in one part of the game often causes a glitch in another part of a game during development...so it is plausible that this bug DID NOT EXIST when QA tested the final build for that part of the game, but something else got patched later on elsewhere in the game that broke it instead.

This is why I'm not a huge fan of the publishers pushing developers on tight schedules - I believe it compromises QA to a certain extent.  It's one thing to push studios for sports games where your biggest update is limited to roster changes.  It's another to do it for a multi-hundred hour game that takes place across an entire continent.

I can't say I like either of the protagonist's voices...

When Blackwall and Cullen have more intimidating and unique sounding voices than the Inquisitor, something's not right, lol.

No spoilers please, but how far into the game, in terms of hours, does this occur?

Does it happen around the first 5, 10, 30 hours into the game? If it is VERY late like in the 30+ hour mark, then I would just play slowly until the patch is released. However if it is early, then I don't know.....

Just don't customize the person. Go out and do some side quests, close some rifts, jump up and down a mountain. Looks like Bioware is already working on fixing a few things, something small like this should be in the very first patch.

It doesn't look like it has happened for everybody. Still, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Again, on an estimate (I am a person who does all the sidequest and takes my time), how long would it take for me to get to this point?

Also, there is no telling when this patch will be released. If it is released next week, then it is fine, but it could also be released in the next 2 or 3 weeks which would suck.

From what I understand, you need to finish the first big story arc for this to come up. The time involved could vary wildly from person to person.
