Yeah, It is taking a while for information to start hitting websites. I guess many just did not have the game beforehand at all, and we need to wait till people who are so inclined start adding this data to wikis etc. I didn't take detailed pictures and so on when I was going through this to contribute to those sources.
Somehow I never ran into these issues in the other Bioware games although I purchased them at launch.
Now that could be because DA:I is so much larger, and there is so much more to do. Or it could be bad design choices, confusing mechanics, and a UI that doesn't quite do it's job of imparting information to the player.
For example, finding people would never be a problem in DA:O, since I could hold the TAB key and see small hovering white text above everything around me that was important for me to interact with. So in DA:O I suspect you could stand in the courtyard, and press TAB, and see the names of requisition officers.
In an MMO, you might see icons above their heads so you know you can talk to them, or they would appear on your map as little icons when they move.
DA:I has none of that necessary feedback for the player, so they either have to spend a lot of time searching ( and as this thread shows never finding) key parts of the game that they need to advance.
So this could be because of how much bigger and better DA:I is...or it could partially be due to bad design decisions for an RPG.
Yeah, I've been slowly trying to add stuff to the Dragon Age Wiki that I use but I'm not very good at explaining stuff, so I myself mostly just revert vandalism, correct spelling errors, or blatant errors (like once a guy was convinced that because Aveline married Donnic in all of his playthroughs, he kept deleting "Possible Husband" from Aveline and Donnic's pages and just making it 'Husband' We kept reverting it, we told him on his Talk page why he needed to stop, I think finally the admins had no choice but to IP block him (though not sure, I just know he finally stopped even though it didn't seem like he was going to.) Then I also add data on DLCs and such, like for example I created the page and uploaded a photo for the new Avvar Mixed Mount (available from Raptr. It's a horse with white and red warpaint and a cool barbarian head barding.) Basically those times when it's okay to directly copy from the game, like the description of the mounts, I can do that but explaining in my own words how to do a quest? Nah, it'll be a mess if I do it hehe.
