Excellent, I knew there was a reason I kept Loghain alive at DA 1 other than having a better story line.

Yes, the replace Stroud if either are Wardens. Choose who will die. Also, you  lose Varric if Hawke dies

Varric didn't leave me, or atleast not yet.. His Companion card changed though.

That was the saddest thing I have ever seen. I wonder if Hawke romanced someone, and what Varric would say if he did.

 

He does. It's mentioned.. After I lost my Hawke, Varric says something about needing to write letters..and needing to tell Isabela (Hawkes LI, for me)

Varric was friends with my Hawke. The Companion card is red and black and it has Varric kneeling in the snow..its kind of unnerving. I'm worried about it. I'm not sure if it's because Hawke is dead, it wasn't like that before that quest.

To tell the truth if I had killed Loghain at DA 1 I would happily chose Hawk as I hate DA 2.

Varric was friends with my Hawke, I sided with the Warden Mages and have them as Allies, Varric didn't keep the Red Lyrium shard and he didn't leave my party..

 

instead I have this ominous companion card.

It could just mean that Varric is just super depressed now. Hopefully he won't leave your party.

I'll be saving my Warden!Alistair during my first playthrough, nothing against Hawke I really liked him, but Alistair is my favorite character >.<

I won't lie, Choosing between Alistair and Hawke was a choice that made me emotional.. I still chose Hawke to sacrifice herself and Varric asking where Hawke was just so sad.

I chose Hawke to stay behind and die, but never lost Varric even though in my world state they were friends and I also allowed the wardens to stay. He just told me a story about Hawke, I hugged him, and that was that. I have gotten a ton of approval for him though, so you probably need it pretty high to leave Hawke behind and not banish the wardens to get him to stay. Still, it's possible.

You probably do need high approval for him to stay. Approval has always played a pretty big role in DA so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case here.

That wouldn't even be a vs haha everyone would just kill Hawke and save their awesome Warden.

side note: I thought it was pretty interesting to hear that the Warden is searching for a cure for the calling

I don't think I can keep playing if these are my options..! Can't you just sacrifice Stroud? I'd be okay with thAt.. How do I get that as an option? I can't kill Alistair- I'd happily kill Loghain but I already happily killed Loghain in DAO...

 

You know best thing about 'Keep' is that you are able to make choices(afterall 'Keep' does not import all your decisions so...) you can make choices in there you were unable to do in game

If Alistair is king and Loghain is dead then yes it will be Stroud vs Hawke

The person you choose will stay and fight that creepy disgusting giant spider boss to cover your escape, and will likely die.

This is why I am glad hawkes Warden friend is Stroud in my playthrough.
