Is the Warrior skill, grappling chain, bugged? (99% of the time never pulls enemies).

I can't be the only one having this issue. I got the grappling chain ability for my warrior and it seems to rarely work at all, so many times I cast it only to throw out the chain and the enemy is not pulled.

It seems to only ever work when you and the enemy are on exactly to a T  the same level ground and if they are elevated or below or even just a very very tiny super slight different elevation it doesn't work

Really makes the skill quite useless since it seems to never work as you want it. In the hinterlands I never use it anymore because I can't depend on it to do what it should do and have to keep just getting my warrior to walk to targets (makes hunting a HUGE pain) and I can't see why anyone should get it over say, bull's charge which lets you quickly get into a fight.

I'm hoping that it's bugged and being fixed, this certainly can't be working as intended.

Lets hope so, cause if they did not anticipate elevation changes then grappling change will be absolutely worthless.

I have it on cassandra and (obviously) i have never noticed this - I have seen Grappling chain not work before, but anytime that happened it was a 2h enemy or an elite of some sort and just figured you cant use it on certain enemies

It doesn't work on everyone, but seems s consistent on standard enemies. I have noticed you can't pull a templar with a shield from the front.

Seems to work fine on regular archers. Can't pull certain elite enemies.

Working fine for me, just can't pull some of the bigger animals like bears, and the elite enemies as mentioned above.

It also can't pull wraiths. But, yeah. It works fine and I find it useful.

So many mobs are immune to it and often its get stoped by a tiny object on the ground. I'll respec out of it as soon as I can.

I can't pull goats for some reason.  And it's annoying since they run away.  Made trying to get 10 goat meats impossible so I switched to using Solas to freeze them in place and kill them that way.

yeah I loved the idea of my warriors having it - but if you really need it or something like it id just grab combat roll and its upgrade - so you can get places quicker

I've found that if you can get close enough to a shield-bearing enemy but not close enough that they "see" you, the Grappling Chain does work, just not against their shields.

For me it usually works on normal human sized enemies, but it doesn't pull or even hurt fennecs, nugs etc.

It works on almost everything for me, and I absolutely love the skill. Pull in a rebel mage, give 'em the boot to put them on the floor and Mighty Blow their puny, fragile bodies with my giant sledge hammer. I couldn't imagine living without it and so far, I'm having a lot more fun with my warrior than I did with my mage.

I didn't have elevation mess with it before, unless it's very extreme. The only things it simply doesn't work on is very large enemies, neutral creeps and Wraiths. I actually didn't have a problem with templars blocking the skill with a shield yet - in fact, oftentimes I pull in a blocking templar towards me when I was aiming for an archer behind them.

I'm playing on a PC with mouse and keyboard.
