Does friendly fire works the same for AI enemies?
If not, I think I am gonna start turning FF off now in my current nightmare run

Reportedly no - I believe Mike Leidlaw said that on Twitter.
On the other hand, I didn't encounter an enemy using AOE as of yet I think.
