I am a spoiler ******, pure and simple. I read the last ten pages of a book before i ever read the prologue and find out who lives/dies before I ever see a movie, especially after a friend of mine conned me into going to see Gladiator and flat out lied to me about the ending just so he could see me cry.

I have yet to buy this game for several reasons, not the least of which was my...dismay...over ME3's endings. Long story short, ME3 ruined the entire trilogy for me, which sucks because ME1 and ME2 were my favoite games, and I ranked them higher than DA:O, which I also loved. Now I'm left with DA:O and DA2 (yes, i liked DA2 and it grew on me more and more on subsequent replays).

Not wanting a repeat of the ME debacle, I keep scouring the boards trying to find out what happens and if there are any moments that will ruin DA:O and DA2 for me. I have had little luck, so I will simply ask the questions most pertinent to my decisions to buy this or not:

1.  Does the Inquisitor die at the end? If so, is this merely a choice, like the Warden choosing to do so in DA:O, or do you get it rammed down your throat a'la ME3?

2.  Is there any indication as to what happened to the Warden? (i.e., any definitive "she's dead" crap will ruin my head canon)

3.  What is Alistair's status if he and the Warden married and ruled together? I imagine the whole 'the Warden disappeared' crap stands, but is his relationship with her mentioned at all?

4.  For Wardens that romanced Zevran...any mention of them at all? Do you get to see Zevran?

5.  Hawke...I know we see her (or him, as the case may be). What happens? I saw someone post a question about having an option to save Hawke, but what is the deal here? Is this just a cameo or does Hawke play a larger part?

6.  Inquisitor romances...happy endings or not? And are there any asinine plots with the romanced partner where he/she has some sort of fatal disease and you get teased with a cure only to have them die at the end?

And, finally:

7.  Is there anything blatant that happens in the game that recons what your Warden or Hawke have done and pisses all over your previous choices?

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses to answer. :)

Cant really answer most of this questions i can however answer one question.

If you are on PC - dont buy it just yet. Check the feedback forums first as to inform yourself a bit.

If you are on consoles - then its fine ( gameplay wise )

If you're not crazy about playing it now, smartest thing would be to wait. In 2-3 month the game will still be here but patched and probably wih half of the today's price. Patience can do wonders.

I don't recommend buying it for the PC until they fixed the mouse and keyboard interface.

Do you want the fourth game to be made and with big budget instead of DA2 budget?

If big budget gets me DA:I and low budget gets me DA:O - then let them freaking starve.

But then again i have lost faith in BioWare anyhow so who cares what i think.

I actually like DAI much better than DAO, shocking, isn't it?

First, thanks a bunch for answering. Second...

Is more info given about the Warden than "he/she is alive?" I assume we don't see the Warden, and actually prefer it that way, but is this just a passing reference in the game?

Which romances have crappy endings? In particular, I'm interested in Iron Bull. Don't really give a crap about the rest of them, lol. I've always wanted to kill Cullen and pray I get the chance in this game. He's highly irritating...

That's awesome about Sten. I figured Wynne would be dead by now, anyway.

Any mention of Anders you didn't kill him in DA2? I killed him in most of my games, but in a couple of them, my character couldn't bring herself to do it. I don't see how letting him live could work out very well...

Since I don't know much about DA:I yet, I'd amend this to:

If a big budget gets me ME3 and a low budget gets me DA:O, DA2, ME1, ME2, or KOTOR, then let them starve. I just want to make sure I'm not buying another ME3 with this game, because I honestly can't stomach another one like that. Like you, it made me lose faith in BioWare, but I've held out hopes for this game, due to the Keep and some of the videos from it. Combat looks like a huge pain in the ass, though, especially if everything I'm reading is correct and you actually have to keep walking over to whoever you want to slaughter instead of clicking on them and choosing your tactic, etc.

If Anders still lived then the the other main character in DO2, basically conquors Kirkwall as he threatned to do, Varric does mention all the Kirkwall stuff, and if he lived, he's gone off to join some rebel mages somewhere who pretty much look down on him for what he did there, figuring  him for causing a lot of their problems..  IF you did kill Anders Kirkwall is not taken over.  The warden is mentioned here and there as the "Hero of Ferelden" and really not a lot is said.  You know they've been around, but presence is only felt, for now they are off doing something that regards the darkspawn.  That is per information from Morrigan, you do meet up with her and the child she's had.  You get all that information if the warden had married her.  Apparently she is still very much in contact with the Hero, he comes back to see her from time to time and is described as good husband and father, she plans on joining in the future when child is older.  Still very much in love and grateful sounding for Morrigan    I think even if you did not marry/father child that's probably fate of your warden, off doing stuff which probably plays a roll in future game down the line.  Sounds activre and Morrigan planning to be very much active with them in future.

Sorry don't know how to make this a spoiler tag but the title says it all you don't want to be spoiled definitely should not be on this page!

Few threads below this one is one on alister, loghain and hawke to answer your questions there

Warden appears but cloaked. Passes by like the old fart they are. Silent but deadly.

I'm honestly there with you, at least on the character front. Not decided on the rest of it, but the characters - with the exception of Sera who I could not get away from fast enough* - are my favorite in the series so far.

*I loved her pre-launch, first words out of her mouth though and every subsequent conversation made me hate her even though I was eventually going to romance her.

As someone who intensely disliked DA2's minimalistic approach and cancelled ME3 pre-order when I heard about the endings, I highly recommend this game. Despite having some glaring faults the overall experience is excellent, IMO.

Big budget didn't exactly help DAI, now did it?

What BioWare needs isn't money. EA has enough of that. What BioWare, and by extension EA, needs is a message from their customer base that we pay money for finished, working products, not for alpha testing. Anyone who's on the fence of buying DAI is best served waiting at least a couple days to see how the situation progresses, if DAI gets a quickfix patch, or if that's going to wait for a while. If the latter, might aswell wait with the purchase for those that haven't yet bought it (or want to refund it for a later purchase once it's fixed).

What? DAI is a solid game. Skyrim fills with more bugs than a forest, and people love that game. For a large open world like DAI, there bounds to be bugs. Most high profile games, especially games with large environment, there bounds to be glitches. The game is exactly what I expected.

For the warden if they lived they are on a mission to end the calling.

PC control isn't quite good, but all the other things that make the game are worth it. I'm still at Act 1 but I love every minute of the main quest.

Well using a controller helps with the crappy mouse and keyboard controls if you are using a PC, otherwise just buy the console version.

Right there whit you.

While i did like ME3 very much up until the last 10-15 min the rest is spot on.

DA:I is very preaty, characters are interesting, lore is good - game is great.... But gutted. The lack of tactics, braindead AI and most of all - horrible horrible controls makes this not very fun to play game. Great story - but shity combat makes the game hard to like.

I am playing on PC and I'm having a blast. However, there are severe control issues. I'm rather tolerant of suboptimal controls if the rest of the game is good (and it is very good). YMMV.
