When I press the "craft item" button the two hexagons with the material slide towards eachother, a sound plays, but then nothing further happens and I have to back out. Any workarounds out there?

It should be in your inventory accessories section. Make sure you put it on before nearing the camp.

Well it isn't because i can't craft it, I have materials and all but it's bugged.

Was having the same issue, then it hit me....
Inventory was full xD
Check yours too. That might be the problem - was for me!
