I dont know if im the only but not only i have to press V constantly (what my character is? A radar?) but not once, or twice, but almost every 3-4 items i find i have to stop and start a "search" where i keep pressing until i know more or less the direction of the item because the game fails to show me easily where the item is.
While its fun to find hidden items its not fun to search for your 999º hidden elfroot or iron.
This is because the game show the items horribly. If the item is hidden by a wall or by staying outside of your eye level it become very hard to spot it making the player spend minutes or (like myself) just give up trying to find the item.
One idea is to make the item become highlited by a beacon of light going to the sky (or roof if inside a building).
Another idea is to show the items you detect on the mini-map so you can at least know what direction you should go to find the item you detected.
Maybe make the system of Arrow to indicate a important item you are searching work for everything. Just make a second arrow with a different collor so you know what arrow is for a important item and what arrows are for commom items. (This should be very easy to implement as the system already exist).
I saw on the perks a level to increase the range of my Search button, i really rather not have it. Its already hard to find the items with a small field, with a bigger one it will become a even greater problem.
