A complete buggy, unstable mess. Absolutely unplayable most of the time for me. Game either doesn't load or gets stuck in black screeen. Constant desyncs during matches. Constant crashes (which I suppose are causing the desyncs for those other players), you spawn with all quickslot bindings blank (can't use any powers) or what I just experienced, you spawn and can't move (as if someone disabled my WASD keys, the entire party of four people couldn't move around -  basic attacks and powers worked, but you simply stayed glued to the starting spot).

I really wanted to give DAMP a fair first impression and wanted to wait things out until I can give feedback on how it actually works, but case in point: it doesn't work. At least for me.

If the debug team needs more informations:

My rig:

i5 3570K

GTX 660Ti (344.75 driver version)

8GB 1600MHz RAM

Windows 7 64bit

Internet is 50Mbps down and 10Mbps up.

Will be happy to assist with more information if anyone from BioWare needs something more specific and asks me, anything to help get this thing working for me.

I'm running into the exact same problems, namely stuck in place with no UI, heavy desync especially moving, and random crashes in combat.

My rig is more than capable to run two instances of the game with no sweat:

i7 4790k 4.8Ghz

GTX 970 x2

Corsair Dominator 16GB 1866MHz

Windows 8.1 64bit

It's worth noting that the game runs smooth as diarrhea on single player, both in terms of framerate and stability (no crash).

Really sorry to hear about the issues you guys have run into. At risk of sounding like a broken record have either of you applied the "60fps cinematics fix" thats been posted around? If you have, could you try undoing that fix and see if that makes things better for you?

Maybe the game should have been delayed until ready to release

BWE what fix are you referring to? What a strangely cryptic response.

PC users have found an unsupported config change that allows cutscenes to run at 60fps even though we've capped them at 30. By removing the cap a number of issues are introduced into Multiplayer.

Spent the better part of the day playing MP for xbone today...

All in all, I really enjoy it. I earned enough coins to open at least 15 large chests, I unlocked necro and assassin, got some wicked rare weapons, and have no real complaints about the experience.

As for MP mechanics, I never experienced any lag or rubber-banding. Fights were always engaging and relatively challenging. Didn't crash or freeze once, but I did have a couple games drop due to host migration....

My only real complaints are that targeting with aoe spells as a caster feels a bit clunky, and host migration is a hit or miss... but all in all, I'm satisfied with DAMP (stupid name) and look forward to more MP content.

I feel bad for the PC players. This is actually the first AAA title I've bought on console instead of PC. I'm a long time PC gamer myself. But after reading about the expected difficulties for PC modders because of the engine, I decided there was no real benefit for me to go PC when I have a xbone. But I digress.

tl;dr: For what it's worth, I enjoy MP on console and think it's fine.

DAMP gameplay might be fun if you're all running your systems in the same room like Bioware's QA do but when you keep getting matched up with Russians and Americas and yet live closer to Australians.... seems like they didn't learn the right things from ME3MP. Especially since even movement seems host checked now, with lots of little rubberbanding points everywhere.

I have no problems playing on transatlantic host.

The NO Respec thing is really the only kick in the balls with this for me so far. DAMP is definetly more difficult than the classic ME3MP, and the fact is you sort of have to experiment with what works right. It is unfortunate that you basically are punished for exploring. Even if it was a random loot card.

You know, the official BIOWARE Dragon Age Collectors Guide says that the RESPEC Card IS A loot drop in the multiplayer section.

I'm still experiencing the issues the OP is mentioning. It seems to happen most often when connecting to EU hosts, given all the German I was hearing on the mic. ^_^ Anyone have fixes yet?

OP make sure you aren't using that cutscene fps fix while MPing, for some reason MP does not like it

I have mysteriously exited the game once during a match, but that's all

Just out of curiosity what was the reason behind the 30 fps cap for cutscenes?

Hi there. I have two separate shortcuts for DAI, one for SP (with fix), and one for MP (without fix). I also use AHK to rebind some of my keys in both SP and MP. However, disabling AHK did not prevent the issues from occurring.

I have seen all of these problems as well. I am not using the cutscene fps fix.

First time playing multiplayer last night and the networking was horrible.

First two games I got disconnected before they loaded.

Third game, I was stuck in place unable to move so I disconnected.

4th game, finally got into a game that was running smoothly.  Connection got terminated while collecting rewards.  I got gold, but no XP for the entire match.

5th game disconnected shortly after starting (Ie, stayed on a black screen and never loaded).

6th game  (orlesian map) loaded, but there was no introduction sound about the mission.  After the introduction was over, screen went black and never came back.

The next few games after that I was finally able to play several times without getting disconnected.  One of the other players had the black screen though and left.

Rubberbanding was constant throughout almost all of the matches.

I would see treasure pots and break them but it would not give me any treasure.  Later, another player might come by and break the pot again and collect the treasure.

Another game had a glitch that dropped all of the players except me and I was migrated to the host position.

Last game I my connection again got terminated while collecting the rewards and this time I got nothing for my time.

My specs:

I74770K

32 gig of Ram

Windows 7 64 bit.

Nvidia GTX 780 Ti (x2)

Internet speed is about 30mbs down and 5mbs up.

Still trying to balance my game settings to get a better frame rate though.  Kind of surprised I can't max everything out at 1920x1200 with 2 of these cards.

Have you tried disabling SLI?

It appears the Nvidia SLI profiles aren't quite optimized for DAI yet. Try disabling SLI for DAI and just run it with one GTX 780 Ti, see if you get better results.

As for BWEAmelia, it doesn't appear the cutscene fps uncap command line is the culprit. Or at the very least it's not the only one. I won't be able to help you any more though, because I refunded the game for now.

I've had some problems sure.  But OP your statement is ridiculously exaggerated or your rig has compatibility issues.  I've had some problems, but nothing game breaking.

It's not exaggerated. Those are exactly the issues I had. The game is fineckey. It appears to work great for some people, unplayable to for some others and everything in between again for others.

Good on you if you don't have the same issues or not with the same frequency, but don't call BS on the issues I had just because you don't.

Never fear! I'm working on fixing this one right now actually. We're not sure whether "heisenpots" or "schrodinger pots" is a better name, but either way they definitely are frustrating fellas. If your melee friends can get up close and swing a couple of times it will usually clear pots that ranged characters were unable to break.

Just out of curiosity what was the reason behind the 30 fps cap for cutscenes?

I can't go into specifics so don't take this as the word of Andraste but there are a lot of moving parts and systems in our cutscenes that can desync if the framerate is not consistent. In MP you get the aforementioned problems plus a bandwidth hit that can cause your game to play catchup if it was a shock to your host or your own connection.

TLDR; The framerate "fix" is not a fix, and actually introduces a number of problems into both modes. We capped for good reasons, please don't use it.

It happens more often on a mage character and they are the only ones who have trouble shooting it again without targeting. The best solution I have found so far is destroying every pot with a damage spell when playing a mage. They have no cooldown when not used on enemies, so it works quite well.
