No more trust for you... I'm so disappointed that i almost cry. You made something beautiful years ago and now you destroyed it. It is really sad and make's me kind of really mad. People like you will destroy the whole gaming society and i hope you get what is coming for you!

Ps. I'm so happy that i bought this pile of crap cheap, but after this don't wait for my money on your products of lie.

Bioware was the last company I thought would disappoint PC gamers like this. Controls are absolutely atrocious!!!

I hope the reviews burn BioWare real bad.

The issues popping up are just horrid, PC controls, plastic hairs etc.

Hi!

The OP summarizes my thoughts exactly.

To bad I missed the window for a refund. So that makes two mistakes in a row (buying it and not returning it quick enough).

I agree there are some glaring issues with this game, but you seriously put plastic hair in your top two list?  Prioritize, friend.

+1 for the worst PC Controls I've ever seen. If you're not playing this on a controller, on PC, then I feel bad for you; because you shouldn't have to.

Thanks for taking a beloved series on PC and turning it into Console GARBAGE.

Man.. Ubisoft FAILS, and now Bioware FAILS. Who the hell can we turn to these days to do a game right?

You can always contact EA support with the live chat. I've found they've been pretty accomodating with handling refunds past the GGG timeframe if you just ask for it (politely of course). Last game I got a refund for was Titanfall, around five days after activation, so well past the GGG time limit. Contacted them via chat and got the refund, no questions asked, just like that, no fuzz, no drama.

While i hate the the seemingly false advertising pre release and the janky controls as much as the next man, - i only have a ps3 controller and so am forced to use kb/m - they have already said they are listening and trying to fix it, way way way too many topics about it, theres only so much feedback about the same thing they can handle  :P

Add in the fact that the game errors itself so you have to reactivate it. . Bought this game because I can only get unreliable satellite in the sticks. Now I can't play it.

Last gen versions got just as screwed over in a different way, and flat-OUT lied about those versions. They said that graphics would be the only difference and that they would still look good for last gen at least, and that it would have the exact same amount of content and features. Well the last gen versions ended up with texture quality that you would see in a PS2 game, and the character creator is actually lacking the option to add scars.

Seems telling lies and falsely advertising was their main method of trying to get people to buy it. It's obvious to everyone at this point that Bioware only really gave a crap about the PS4 and One versions, everything else got a half assed port that was lied about to get people to buy it before they knew the truth. Didn't work on me though... I was smart enough to wait a few days. And I have decided not to buy the last gen versions, which were my only options. Glad I didn't trust Bioware/EA enough to preorder, best decision regarding a game I've ever made.

If you adjust some keybindings it plays like a typical third-person action game on mouse and keyboard. It is NOT a real PC RPG interface like Origins and DA2 had, but this is not the same kind of game, either. It's a very different thing.

Not defending them or anything, just saying... the main issue is it's not that kind of game anymore.

Why is it a different game?  What features make it not a Dragon Age game?

I'm curious if you are saying it's different because you are disappointed it's not like parts 1 and 2 of the series, or that you think everyone else is playing it the wrong way and you knew it was going to be different all along.

Because what we were told from Bioware all spring, summer and fall was crystal clear about what kind of game this was going to be.

I think it is a really bad sign that the 2nd night I have owned the game, I'm on the forums instead of playing the game.

Terrible. :(

The main issue is that you can't keybind the left mouse button.  Many of us PC gamers use the left mouse button to move in everything we play, from World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, Secret World... even LA Noire had an option that let you keybind the left mouse button for movement if that was your choice and that was far removed from most RPGs.  It was possible in both DA and DA2 to move with the mouse, so it wasn't outside of reality for us to expect we could use it here as well.

I don't get it, how bad can the mouse and keyboard controls be? Surely they're not as bad as they were in Dark Souls.

Pretty bad when you try to force a party-based tactical RPG to be played like a FPS and don't allow your customer base a choice in the matter.

I like the game so far, but yeah, the controls DO take some getting used to..

However, i find adjusting the keyboard mapping solves a lot of problems in the tactical cam for PC.

You CAN use a PS3 controller for PC quite easily I've been doing it for years now and have never ran into a problem. I'm doing it right now to play DA:I in fact.

No attribute system, no armor parts, strong focus on third-person controls, no healing, auto-refill for potions. Those are the main changes from the top of my head and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of other changes.

It's a thrid-person action game with some RPG elements where DA2 and especially Origins were actual RPGs.

I've been playing the pc version on my tv with an xbox controller. I've always been a kb&m pc gamer, but glad I decided to get a controller for this one. Sucks many are having issues and I hope they fix this real soon. I'm very much enjoying the game (about 28 hours in) besides the black screens I get now and then on cut scenes.

This is the thing.. This is why gaming companies screws us over. They say its made for PC and suddenly it works better with controller. Its like going down on you're knees and just start sucking on it... We have to make this **** correct. We ain't no damn ball to bounce a round how they feel like. They need to advertise their product correctly, not how they get the best amount of money.  I feel so violated after this bullshit.

If somebody needs reminder:

Hugest load of bullshit ever!

But it's still a party based, pause-based combat system.  You still create your own character and background.  You still roleplay your companion characters and level them up yourself.

And most importantly of all, it's the 3rd game in series that's been pretty successful, with the same basic story, plot, and environment as the first 2.

I think if simply changing a control interface actually does change the entire nature of the game and what category it should reside in, then that change sucks.  And needs to be fixed ASAP.
